Package for ostomy barrier ring
A package for an ostomy barrier ring is provided. The package includes a first shell, a second shell and a hinge connecting the first and second shells. The first shell includes a first stacking wall having a first interior side and a first exterior side, a first nesting structure formed on the first stacking wall, and a first sidewall extending from and about the first stacking wall. The second shell includes a second stacking wall having a second interior side and a second exterior side, a second nesting structure formed on the second stacking wall, and a second sidewall extending from and about the second stacking wall. The hinge allows the first shell and second shell to rotate relative to one another. A plurality of packages may be stacked with the first nesting structure of one package received in the second nesting structure of an adjacent package.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING ENDOSCOPIC SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Methods and systems for accessing an operating cavity when performing endoscopic surgery comprising. The systems and methods include at least one obturator-free cannula unit and a trocar assembly. The trocar assembly includes a single dedicated functional obturator independent of the cannula unit and an endoscopic cannula. The invention also provides a system and methods for providing continuous flow of carbon dioxide during a laparoscopic procedure.
System and method for packaging and preparing a radiofrequency ablation kit
A system for packaging a kit for a radiofrequency ablation procedure protects a radiofrequency ablation kit without compromising its sterile barrier system through the hazards of handling, distribution, and storage. The system includes: an introducer tray configured to hold at least one introducer; a probe tray configured to hold at least one radiofrequency ablation probe; an outer carrier tray, a pouch configured to hold a tubing kit; and a dispenser carton. The introducer tray and the probe tray are held within the outer carrier tray, and the outer carrier tray and the pouch are configured to be held within the dispenser carton. A method of packaging a radiofrequency ablation kit is further described.
Packaging system for sterile transfer of non-sterile battery
A medical device packaging system for securing a sterile medical device, having controlled sterile and non-sterile zones, and features for controlling and maintaining said zones that allow medical personnel to perform a simple and efficient transfer of a non-sterile battery into a sterile powered medical device without compromising the device sterility in a sterile field.
LAYERED STERILE WORKSPACE ASSEMBLY
The present invention regards a sterile workspace with removable layers for use on medical surfaces such as anesthesia workstations, as well as other surfaces. The assembly of the present invention generally includes a plurality of sterile workspaces, layered to form the assembly. Each workspace has a foam layer and a barrier layer. In some configurations, the workspace also has a tray, and the foam layer is secured to the top surface of the tray. The tray may have a raised border about its perimeter. In some configurations the foam layer has a non-porous bottom surface. The assembly may have a support surface under the bottom-most workspace layer, with an elastomer or adhesive affixed thereto to prevent the assembly from moving during use. The barrier layer is affixed to either the foam layer, or the tray (if present), and is removed to expose a sterile workspace when in use.
Drivers and drive systems
Drivers and drive systems (e.g., off-axis drive systems, pneumatic motors, multi-gear drive systems, and/or the like), and kits comprising drivers with drive systems, such as those, for example, configured to move a drive shaft.
CORNEAL IMPLANT STORAGE AND DELIVERY DEVICES
Corneal implant applicator devices and methods of using. In some embodiments they include an implant applicator and an implant support, wherein the implant applicator and implant support are disposed relative to one another to form an implant nest that is adapted to house a corneal implant; wherein the applicator has a greater affinity for the corneal implant than the support.
Storage Kit and Assembly
The present invention relates to a kit and an assembly for the storage and transportation of medical equipment including endoscopes, as well as a method for storing and transporting endoscopes. In particular, the present invention relates to a support tray (1) for endoscopes, a barrier sheet (264, 764, 864, 967 and 978) and a kit for the transportation of endoscopes comprising a support tray and barrier sheet. A kit for the transportation and storage of an endoscope comprises a rigid support tray and barrier means. The rigid support tray comprises a base plate (2, 102, 902) having opposing first and second sides; a plurality of guide walls (4, 104, 904) projecting from the first side of the base plate, the guide walls arranged to define areas for placement of parts of said endoscope on the first side of the base plate; a plurality of support members (10, 110, 910) extending from the second side of the base plate, the support members being arranged such that when two trays are stacked on top of each other, the arrangement of the support members is such that, in a first orientation the two base plates are separated by a first distance and in a second orientation the two base plates are separated by a second distance, the second distance being greater than the first distance; and retaining members (931) extending from an edge region of the support tray. The barrier means comprises a flexible sheet including a liner portion (276, 767, 967) for providing, in use, a barrier layer between the support tray and said endoscope, the flexible sheet including retaining means for engagement with the retaining members (941, 945) of the support tray to retain the sheet in contact with the tray.
Package for a Sterile Medical Device and Assembly Method
A package configured to contain at least one sterile medical device includes at least one first web comprising a natural-fiber material, such as paper, paperboard, or cardboard, and at least one second web including the natural-fiber material. The at least one second web also includes at least one cavity sized to contain the at least one medical device. The at least one first web is connected to the at least one second web to provide a sterile barrier preventing microbial ingress to the at least one medical device through the package. A method of assembling a sealed sterile package containing at least one sterile medical device is also provided.
Protective container for sterilized medical implants
A protective container for a sterilized medical implant includes a base including a hollow body having a closed end and an opened end. The base including a thread. A cap is secured about the opened end of the hollow body. The cap includes a thread that cooperates with the thread provided on the base such that relative rotation of the base and the cap causes relative axial movement of the base and the cap. A sealing member is compressed between the base and the cap to provide a seal therebetween as a result of relative axial movement of the base and the cap.
