The TEE probe container further comprises a planar lid configured to removably enclose the first container surface of the container.
PACKAGING DEVICE FOR MEDICAL PRODUCTS TO BE STERILIZED OR HAVING BEEN STERILIZED COMPRISING INTERNAL FIXATION
A packaging device including a receiving compartment for medical products to be sterilized or having been sterilized, the receiving compartment being sealable in a sterile manner; a carrier for hanging and/or guiding and/or handling the packaging device, wherein the carrier extends into the interior of the receiving compartment and includes at least one accurately fitting mount for a section of a medical product to be sterilized or having been sterilized. Also, secondary packaging for accommodating a plurality of such packaging devices.
A STORAGE DEVICE FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
A storage device for carrying medical equipment having an outer shell that is reconfigurable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The outer shell includes first and second side panels and a fastener is provided for holding the outer shell in the closed configuration. A first support panel has support elements on its inner and outer surfaces for securing medical equipment to the first support panel. In a first configuration the first support panel covers the inner surface of the first side panel and the outer surface of the first support panel is outwardly facing and accessible and the first support panel is pivotable to a second configuration in which the inner surface of the first side panel is uncovered and both the inner surface of the first side panel and the inner surface of the first support panel are outwardly facing and accessible. A second support panel including support elements is secured within the outer shell such that in a first configuration the second support panel covers the inner surface of the second side panel and the outer surface of the second support panel is outwardly facing and accessible, and is pivotable to a second configuration in which the inner surface of the second side panel is uncovered and both the inner surface of the second side panel and the inner surface of the second support panel are outwardly facing and accessible.
Fabric Sterilization Tote Apparatus and Related Methods
A fabric sterilization tote apparatus and related methods of using and manufacturing the same is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible, bacteria-impenetrable material formed into a closable container, the closable container having a base, at least four sidewalls, and a cover, wherein an interior area of the closable container is defined by the base, the at least four sidewalls, and the cover. A bacteria-impenetrable closure is positioned between the cover and at least one of the four sidewalls, wherein the bacteria-impenetrable closure controls a sealing of the interior area of the closable container from an exterior atmosphere. In use, a medical instrument sterilization tray with the at least one medical instrument may be placed within the fabric sterilization tote apparatus after completion of a sterilization process.
SEAL FOR FILTERED VENT IN A STERILIZATION CONTAINER
A container (10) used for sterilizing medical instruments and the like has a sealed filtered vent. A wall or a lid of the container has a vent area formed by a plurality of holes (12) that pass therethrough. The vent area is surrounded by a convex ridge (16) on an outside surface of the container, with a corresponding concave recess (26) on an opposing inside surface. A web of filter material (36) is sized and adapted to cover the vent area and overlie the concave recess. A cover plate (37) is generally planar, with a vent area formed by a plurality of holes (38) that pass through the cover plate. This vent area is surrounded by a convex ridge (43) that is sized and adapted to correspond to the concave recess of the sterilization container. An elastomeric gasket (127) with outwardly-projecting ridges is secured to at least the convex ridge of the cover plate. A means for mounting the cover plate over the vent area of the container secures the filter material between the container vent area and the cover plate.
Adaptable Medical Tray
Adaptable medical trays are disclosed herein. An adaptable medical tray includes a first component medical tray having a first plurality of walls, a first bottom, and a first removable top, the first plurality of walls and the first bottom arranged to form a first cavity in the first component medical tray; and a second component medical tray removably coupled to the first component medical tray, the second component medical tray including a second plurality of walls, a second bottom, and a second removable top, the second plurality of walls and the second bottom arranged to form a second cavity in the second component medical tray. The first component medical tray and the second component medical tray are constructed of a sterilizable material and the first component medical tray is decouplable from the second component medical tray after a sterilization process without removing the first removable top from the first cavity and without removing the second removable top from the second cavity.
Medical Device Case
A medical device case for allowing passage of a tube from the interior to the exterior of a case such that the case is sealed against fluid intrusion whether a tube is present or absent. The medical device case generally includes a case having a first portion and a second portion hingedly connected to the first portion. The first portion and second portion may be closed together to define a compartment in which a medical device may be positioned. A tube seal assembly is included which will allow a tube leading from the medical device within the compartment to exit the case through a passage. The tube seal assembly generally includes a first seal and second seal which combine when the case is closed to seal around the tube when it is present or to seal against each other when no tube is present.
PACKAGING, PACKAGING ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
A packaging assembly is arranged for holding an article at a predetermined location relative to the packaging assembly in closed and open configurations of the packaging assembly. The packaging assembly includes at least two sections arranged to be secured in place relative to one another in the closed configuration of the packaging assembly, and move relative to one another in the open configuration of the packaging assembly. The at least two sections form an inner surface defining an attachment area for receiving the article. The packaging assembly includes at least one instruction area located along the inner surface and having indicia pointing to features of an article for placement in the packaging assembly and displayed relative to the attachment area.
