Isocyanate-based foam construction boards
A construction board comprising (i) a foam body having a generally planar shape with first and second planar surfaces, where said foam body is a closed-cell foam body including pentane and a blowing agent additive that has a Hansen Solubility Parameter that is greater than 17 MPa.sup.0.5 contained within the foam body; and (ii) first and second facers attached to said first and second planar surfaces, respectively.
EXPANDED POLYMER PELLETS
The invention refers to a method for producing expanded polymer pellets, which comprises the following steps: melting a polymer comprising a polyamide; adding at least one blowing agent; expanding the melt through at least one die for producing an expanded polymer; and pelletizing the expanded polymer. The invention further concerns polymer pellets produced with the method as well as their use, e.g. for the production of cushioning elements for sports apparel, such as for producing soles or parts of soles of sports shoes. A further aspect of the invention concerns a method for the manufacture of molded components, comprising loading pellets of an expanded polymer material into a mold, and connecting the pellets by providing heat energy, wherein the expanded polymer material of the pellets or beads comprises a chain extender. The molded components may be used in broad ranges of application.
Flexible foam formulation
Two-component formulation for producing open-cell flexible foams having compressive strength of 1N/cm.sup.2, contained in 2-component aerosol can with crosslinker sleeve which can be opened prior to deploying formulation from aerosol can wherein the contents thereof enter aerosol can, wherein first component is present in aerosol can and second component that is reactive to first component is present separately in crosslinker sleeve and wherein aerosol can includes prepolymer composed of 25-35% by weight MDI and 40-55% by weight of polyol mixture having free isocyanate groups, and 10-21% by weight of propellant gas mixture and crosslinker sleeve includes 4-10% by weight of crosslinker mixture, wherein weight data are based on weight of formulation. Polyol mixture includes at least one trifunctional polyether and bifunctional polyester polyols, together with flame retardant, foam stabilizer, cell opener, amine catalyst, and crosslinker mixture including ethylene glycol in deficiency relative to free isocyanate groups and amine catalyst.
Processing blood samples to detect target nucleic acids
Provided herein are porous polymer monolith materials and processes that enable integration of blood fractionation, specific nucleic acid amplification and/or detection of nucleic acids from whole blood.
EXPANDABLE COPOLYMER RESIN USED FOR MANUFACTURING LOST FOAM CASTING MODEL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The invention discloses an expandable copolymer resin used for manufacturing a lost foam casting model and a preparation method thereof, wherein the molecular weight of the expandable copolymer resin is 150000-300000, and the expandable copolymer resin comprises mixed monomers, deionized water, a cellulose ether dispersant, sodium salt, an initiator, a foaming agent and a molecular weight regulator; the mixed monomers comprise MMA and ST, wherein MMA accounts for 70-95% wt of the mixed monomers, and ST accounts for 5-30% wt of the mixed monomers. The model formed by the expandable copolymer resin has the advantage of reducing or eliminating carbon defects of castings when casting cast iron and cast steel.
GEOPOLYMERIC FOAM COMPRISING TRIPLE-LAYERED STRUCTURE FOR PROTECTING A SUBSTRATE
A structure for protecting a substrate. The structure comprises an inner tie coat layer which can bond to the substrate, a geopolymer foam layer, and an outer protective layer. The geopolymer foam layer is the reaction product of a mixture comprising an aluminosilicate source, an alkali activator, reinforcing fibres, and a plurality of microparticles.
