To provide resin composition, a pellet and a powder for use in new powder additive manufacturing, as well as a shaped article using the same, and a method for manufacturing such shaped article. The resin composition comprises a polybutylene terephthalate that contains a terephthalic acid-derived structural unit and a 1,4-butanediol-derived structural unit, for use in powder additive manufacturing, the resin composition having a value (α), defined by mathematical formula [1] below, of 40 or smaller:
