Alcohol composition and derivatives thereof
The invention provides a composition comprising a mixture of pentadecanols wherein at least about 60 wt % of the mixture is linear pentadecanol and at least about 10 wt % of the mixture is branched pentadecanols wherein the branched pentadecanols have branching on the second carbon atom. The mixture of pentadecanols may be converted to one or more derivatives, and these derivatives may be used in laundry detergents, cleaning products or as an agricultural adjuvant, an emulsifying agent, a lubricant additive, a pour point depressant, or a personal care ingredient.

SOLVENT-BASED DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR HYDROPHOBIC SOIL REMOVAL
Detergent and cleaning compositions for removal hydrophobic soils including cosmetic soils are described herein. The detergent and cleaning compositions include an insoluble solvent and surfactants to formulate the insoluble solvents in compositions at low concentrations overcoming various challenges in formulating with insoluble solvents. Methods of using the various compositions are also described to provide beneficial improvements in the ability to clean and remove challenging hydrophobic soils.

CLEANING PRODUCT
A cleaning product including a spray dispenser and a cleaning composition suitable for spraying and foaming, the composition is housed in the spray dispenser and includes: i) from about 5 to about 15% by weight of the composition of a surfactant system; and ii) from about 0.1 to about 10% by weight of the composition of an alcohol selected from the group consisting of C4-C6 primary alcohols, branched C4-C10 alcohols having one or more C1-C4 branching groups, alkyl mono-glycerols, and mixtures thereof.
SUBSTRATE DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The invention provides a substrate detergent composition used for cleaning a surface of a substrate, comprising: (A) A quaternary ammonium salt: 0.1 to 2.0% by mass; (B) Water: 0.1 to 4.0% by mass; and (C) An organic solvent: 94.0 to 99.8% by mass. There can be provided a substrate detergent composition used for cleaning a surface of a substrate contaminated with a silicone component whose water contact angle is 100 or more.
APE-FREE LAUNDRY EMULSIFIER
A detergent emulsifier for laundry and other hard surface cleaning using an APE-free surfactant blend is disclosed. The emulsifier system is efficacious for removal of oily soils and greasy food removal. The compositions according to the invention include linear and branched fatty alcohol ethoxylates and ethoxylate propoxylate block copolymers. Methods of using the same are disclosed.
Skin and Surface Disinfectant Compositions Containing Botanicals
The present invention relates to a skin or surface disinfectant composition with broad spectrum antimicrobial activity comprising one or more essential oil (and/or one or more component thereof) and one or more fruit acid. The compositions of the invention may be used as non-toxic alternatives to conventional disinfectants or may be added to other antimicrobial agents to enhance their activity. The invention provides effective alternatives to harsher products which may be particularly useful in personal care and household products and where children and/or pet exposure may be a concern.
