A method for preventing a redeposition during washing of dyed fabric or garments made from natural and synthetic fibers is provided. The method may include admixing 0.1% to 1% of at least one anti-redeposition agent to an aqueous bath depending on the total weight of the dyed fabric to be washed. The anti-redeposition agent may include a water-soluble polyester made from bio-renewable raw materials. The water-soluble polyester may include a reaction product of a polyglycerol mixture, a sugar alcohol, a sebacic acid, and one of an unsaturated fatty acid, a saturated fatty acid, a fat or an oil, a polylactic acid, or polyhydroxyalkanoate.

Leuco polymers as bluing agents in laundry care compositions

A method of obtaining a laundry care composition, the method comprising the steps of (a) reacting a compound with a polymer to form a leuco polymer and (b) mixing the leuco polymer with at least one laundry care ingredient. The compound includes at least one leuco moiety and at least one electrophilic group. The polymer is comprised of co-monomers of an aryl dicarboxylate, an oxyalkyleneoxy and an oxypolyalkyleneoxy and the polymer comprises at least one moiety selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, sulfhydryl, primary amine and secondary amine.

Methods of using a soil release polymer in a prewash composition

The invention provides methods of cleaning including the use of a soil release polymer. In some embodiments, the soil release polymer can be included in a neutral to low alkalinity prewash or main wash that is substantially free of hydroxide-based alkalinity. In some embodiments, the soil release polymer can be included in a neutral to low alkalinity prewash that is substantially free of hydroxide-based alkalinity, followed by an alkaline main wash with any alkalinity source.
