THREE-DIMENSIONAL STABILIZATION THREAD FORM FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS

An implant for insertion within a maxillofacial bone of a patient including a tapered body and one or more threads formed along the body. The one or more threads on one or more lead threads include multiple thread forms including both three-dimensional stabilization thread and standard thread (e.g. v-thread, buttress thread, etc.) forms. The one or more threads including the multiple thread forms provides for maximizing the restriction of lateral movement of the implant within a full or partial osteotomy.

A process for the preparation of a topography for improved fibrin network formation and cell mineralization on at least a portion of a dental implant made of a binary titanium-zirconium alloy, the portion being destined to be embedded in a patient's jawbone and to be in contact with the jawbone via a bone-contacting surface, the process includes the subsequent steps of a) subjecting the bone-contacting surface of the dental implant to a sandblasting treatment, b) etching the sandblasted bone-contacting surface, and c) treating the sandblasted and etched bone-contacting surface with water or an aqueous solution for a duration of more than two days, during which nanostructures continuously grow on the bone-contacting surface, the nanostructures extending in at least two dimensions to 200 nm at most. The process is characterized in that the treatment of b) is carried out at a temperature from 40° C. to 60° C.

The present invention relates to a part (2) intended to be used in association with an implant (4) which is itself intended to be secured in a jaw, this part comprising, in series from its distal end (20) towards its proximal end (21), a distal portion (22) for securing in the implant, an intermediate portion (23) for attachment to the epithelial and/or connective tissue, and a proximal portion (24), this part also comprising at least two zones whose surfaces have a different structure, the structure of the surface of at least one of these two zones, located in said intermediate portion (23), said first zone being ordered and repetitive, adapted to the growth of the epithelial tissue and/or the connective tissue and having engravings forming corrugations with a depth of less than 0.5 microns.

ASYMMETRIC ZYGOMATIC DENTAL IMPLANT WITH PARTIAL MICRO THREAD/GROOVE

A zygomatic dental implant includes a generally cylindrical body, an interior threaded bore, and an asymmetrical external feature. The generally cylindrical body has a coronal portion and an apical portion. The generally cylindrical body has a main-central axis. The interior threaded bore is formed in the coronal portion of the generally cylindrical body for receiving a screw configured to removably hold an abutment in engagement with the zygomatic dental implant. The interior threaded bore has a bore-central axis. The asymmetrical external feature is on at least a portion of a first side of the generally cylindrical body such that the asymmetrical external feature is configured to directly engage alveolar bone of the patient. The asymmetrical external feature includes a plurality of circumferentially extending grooves.

Methods and dental implants provide dental possibility to reconstruct the atrophic and/or dystrophic jaw bones without jaw bone surgical replacements. Dental implant installation to the vertically and/or horizontally deformed jaw bones is provided by the screws, and the bent dental implants are used for the high degree horizontally deformed jaw bones.

Fabrication And Installation Of A Dental Implant

A dental implant for supporting periodontal tissue and the supporting bone is provided. The dental implant includes an implant member with inner canal for insertion into a periodontal bone socket, and an anchoring assembly. The anchoring assembly includes a first fastening element and radially equidistant cylindrical members. The first fastening element engages the implant member within the hollow axial cavity. The root section includes through-holes for radially and forcibly sliding the cylindrical members through them. When the first fastening element apically advances within the hollow axial cavity, the cylindrical members generate an anchoring force to anchor the dental implant.
