DENTAL RETENTION SYSTEMS
20180092718 · 2018-04-05 · ·

Dental retention systems which facilitate the adjustment or removal of an oral appliance, e.g., a crown or bridge, from a reconfigurable abutment assembly are described. The adjustable abutment assembly may be secured to an anchoring implant within the mouth of a patient. The abutment assembly has a projecting abutment portion with one or more shape memory elements extending along the projecting abutment portion. Energy may be applied to the elements such that the arcuate portion self-flattens to allow for the oral appliance to be placed thereupon while removal of the energy allows the elements to reconfigure into its curved configuration thereby locking the oral appliance to the abutment. Removal of the oral appliance may be effected by reapplication of energy to the elements.

System and Dental Implant for Reducing Losses of Dental Implants or Dental Prostheses

The present invention relates to a system which comprises a dental implant (10) and a replacement ring (28). The dental implant (10) has an insertion portion for anchoring in a jaw bone. The replacement ring (28) serves for replacing a subtractively removable annular material region in a coronal region of the insertion portion, the shape of the replacement ring (28) being inscribable into the shape of the dental implant (10) in the coronal region at least to some extent such that an inner lateral surface (32) of the replacement ring (28) lies within the shape of the dental implant (10).

DUAL HUED DENTAL IMPLANT AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
20180092720 · 2018-04-05 ·

A dental implant for implantation into an oral environment of a patient includes a body having a coronal end, an apical end, an inner surface adjacent to coronal end, and an outer surface extending from the coronal end to the apical end. A first area of the dental implant is a first color and a second area of the dental implant is a second area. A method of making a dental implant includes providing a dental implant having a body with a coronal end, an apical end, an inner surface adjacent the coronal end, and an outer surface extending from the coronal end to the apical end; coloring a first area of the dental implant a first color; and coloring a second area of the dental implant a second color.

INTEGRATED SUPPORT DEVICE FOR PROVIDING TEMPORARY PRIMARY STABILITY TO DENTAL IMPLANTS AND PROSTHESIS, AND RELATED METHODS
20180055608 · 2018-03-01 ·

Integrated support devices for providing temporary primary stability to a dental prosthesis implant, each individually designed and manufactured for a specific pre-identify patient are also provided. An integrated support device can include a prosthesis interface member configured to connect to an abutment or reduced sized portion of a dental prosthesis/implant. The integrated support device also includes one or more bonding wings for connecting to the adjacent healthy teeth.

Prosthetic retention system for edentulous patients consisting of a prefabricated bar and two implants

A prosthetic retention system for edentulous patients comprising a prefabricated bar and two implants; where the said bar consists of a tubular central piece that has a round or ovoid cross section and two hollow capsules at its ends; and where the implants are formed by one single piece, with an upper zone that connects to the bar and a lower zone that is introduced into the patient's bone tissue.

DENTAL IMPLANT

An implant, particularly a dental implant is provided, having an anchoring region (12) for anchoring in a bone, which preferably includes a thread (14) for screwing in the bone, and a fastening region (22) for attaching a supra-construction, wherein an abutment region (16) adjoins the anchoring region (12), the abutment region (16) having a guide structure with a plurality of outwardly projecting ridges (18) provided thereon, and preferably, grooves (20) being formed between the ridges (20). The guide structure of the anchoring region (12) allows a better osseointegration and counteracts periimplant bone loss.

Conversion abutment for dental implants

A conversion abutment that cements onto one-piece dental implants that convert the one-piece implant use to a retrievable screw retained implant use in retaining complete dentures, hybrids, partial dentures, or fixed screw retained crowns or bridges, allowing the flexibility to retain and remove these restorative prostheses. These conversion abutments can be fabricated as angled conversion abutments to be used with single or multiple implants placed at various angulations. The conversion abutment system consists of three parts: a cementable conversion abutment (straight or angled), a coping (short or extended), and an occlusal screw. The bottom part (or apical portion) of the implant conversion abutment will cement over the one-piece implant in use, while the top (or coronal portion) will allow a screw to fit through a coping into the implant conversion abutment, screwing the prostheses into place.

Dental implant

A dental implant including an implant body having a top surface, and at least one non-annular cutaway portion longitudinally extending downwardly from the top surface along one side of the body and outwardly to the periphery, and a method for making the implant. The implant body preferably includes a body portion and a head portion integrally formed with the body portion, the body portion has a periphery and the head portion has a non-circular periphery, and the periphery of the head portion is smaller than the periphery of the body portion.

Dental Implant, Superstructure, And Dental Prothesis

Dental implant and superstructure each with an interface that allows direct attachment of the superstructure to the dental implant without the use of an abutment. The dental implant comprises an anti-rotation element that is arranged in the opening and is configured to prevent the superstructure from rotating about a longitudinal axis relative to the dental implant. The superstructure comprises an interface corresponding to the anti-rotation element, having a recess with two mutually opposite side flanks which are at a first distance from each other in a first region and, in a second region which is at a greater distance from the longitudinal axis than the first region, are at a second distance from each other, the second distance being smaller than the first distance.

Dental retention systems which facilitate the adjustment or removal of an oral appliance, e.g., a crown or bridge, from a reconfigurable abutment assembly are described. The adjustable abutment assembly may be secured to an anchoring implant bored into the bones within the mouth. The abutment assembly has a projecting abutment portion with one or more shape memory alloy compression plates or elements extending along the projecting abutment portion. Each of the plates has a length with one or more straightened portions and with at least one curved or arcuate portion.
