FLAME RESISTANT COMPOSITIONS FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING AND ASSOCIATED PRINTED 3D ARTICLES COMPRISING OXYGEN-DEPRIVATION ADDITIVES
Compositions for additive manufacturing applications are described herein which, in some embodiments, impart flame resistant and/or flame retardant properties to articles printed or formed from the compositions. The compositions may also impart desirable mechanical properties to the articles. In some embodiments, a composition comprises a sinterable powder or a thermoplastic polymer in an amount of 10-99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the composition, and an oxygen-deprivation additive in an amount of up to 25 wt. %, up to 15 wt. %, or up to 10 wt. % based on the total weight of the composition. The oxygen-deprivation additive comprises at least one of (a) an organophosphorus component, (b) a heptazine or melamine-derived component, and (c) a polymeric organobromine component.

In some instances, the expandable graphite component is in its free form or encapsulated in material.

This invention provides a water-based elastomeric composition free from aromatics or similar solvents comprising: an elastomer, a thickener, titanium dioxide, an antioxidant, a fungicide, water and optionally a coloring agent. The composition further comprises a corrosion inhibitor and may be impregnated to a textile material, preferably a fiber glass textile.

A charging roll for an electrophotographic apparatus includes a shaft body, an elastic layer that is formed on the outer circumference of the shaft body, and a surface layer that is formed on the outer circumference of the elastic layer, wherein the surface layer contains the following components (A)-(D), i.e., at least one resin (A) selected from among fluororesins and fluorine-modified acrylic resins, a carbon black (B), an ester-based polymer dispersant (C) and a sulfonic acid-based dispersant (D).
