Adhesive Composition

The present disclosure provides a composition. The composition contains (A) an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer containing (i) ethylene and (ii) from 20 wt % to 35 wt % C.sub.6-C.sub.8 α-olefin comonomer, the ethylene/α-olefin copolymer having a density from 0.880 g/cc to 0.895 g/cc, a melt viscosity, at 177° C., from 4,000 mPa.Math.s to 20,000 mPa.Math.s, and a glass transition temperature from −55° C. to −20° C.; (B) a tackifier, and (C) a wax.

PROPYLENE-ETHYLENE-alpha-OLEFIN COPOLYMER, POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITION, AND USE THEREFOR

A propylene-ethylene-α-olefin copolymer satisfying: (I) a content of a propylene-derived constituent unit (i) is 50 to 92 mol %, a content of an ethylene-derived constituent unit (ii) is 5 to 20 mol %, and a content of a C4-20 α-olefin-derived constituent unit (iii) is 3 to 30 mol %, provided that (i) to (iii) total 100 mol %; (II) an mm fraction calculated by .sup.13C-NMR is 85% or more; (III) 0.9≤M.sub.OE/(2M.sub.O×M.sub.E)≤1.5 wherein M.sub.OE represents a mole fraction of chains of propylene and ethylene and chains of the C.sub.4-20 α-olefin and ethylene in total to the total dyad, M.sub.O represents mole fractions of propylene and the C.sub.4-20 α-olefin in total, and M.sub.E represents a mole fraction of ethylene; (IV) an MFR is 1 to 3 g/10 minutes; and (V) a melting point measured by DSC is less than 100° C., or no melting peak is observed.

PROPYLENE-ETHYLENE-alpha-OLEFIN COPOLYMER, POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITION, AND USE THEREFOR

A propylene-ethylene-α-olefin copolymer satisfying: (I) a content of a propylene-derived constituent unit (i) is 50 to 92 mol %, a content of an ethylene-derived constituent unit (ii) is 5 to 20 mol %, and a content of a C4-20 α-olefin-derived constituent unit (iii) is 3 to 30 mol %, provided that (i) to (iii) total 100 mol %; (II) an mm fraction calculated by .sup.13C-NMR is 85% or more; (III) 0.9≤M.sub.OE/(2M.sub.O×M.sub.E)≤1.5 wherein M.sub.OE represents a mole fraction of chains of propylene and ethylene and chains of the C.sub.4-20 α-olefin and ethylene in total to the total dyad, M.sub.O represents mole fractions of propylene and the C.sub.4-20 α-olefin in total, and M.sub.E represents a mole fraction of ethylene; (IV) an MFR is 1 to 3 g/10 minutes; and (V) a melting point measured by DSC is less than 100° C., or no melting peak is observed.

Disclosed herein are D3 water-resistant adhesive compositions comprising aqueous copolymer dispersions and uses of such compositions. The compositions are useful as binders for porous and semi-porous substrates such as wood, paper, and/or board. Importantly, the adhesive compositions have very low formaldehyde content and little or no plasticizer content.

An adhesive resin composition of the invention includes an ethylene polymer (A) including an ethylene polymer graft-modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, and satisfies the following requirements (1) to (4). (1) The melt flow rate (MFR) measured at a temperature of 190° C. and a load of 2160 g in accordance with ASTM D 1238 is 0.1 to 3 g/10 min. (2) The density is 910 to 930 kg/m.sup.3. (3) The proportion of fractions that elute at 50° C. and below in crystallization elution fractionation chromatography measurement is not less than 20 mass %. (4) The proportion of fractions that elute at 90° C. and above in crystallization elution fractionation chromatography measurement is not less than 25 mass %.

Adhesive resin composition and laminate

An adhesive resin composition of the invention includes an ethylene polymer (A) including an ethylene polymer graft-modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, and satisfies the following requirements (1) to (4). (1) The melt flow rate (MFR) measured at a temperature of 190° C. and a load of 2160 g in accordance with ASTM D 1238 is 0.1 to 3 g/10 min. (2) The density is 910 to 930 kg/m.sup.3. (3) The proportion of fractions that elute at 50° C. and below in crystallization elution fractionation chromatography measurement is not less than 20 mass %. (4) The proportion of fractions that elute at 90° C. and above in crystallization elution fractionation chromatography measurement is not less than 25 mass %.

Butene-1 polymer composition having high melt flow rate

A butene-1 polymer composition having a MFR value of from 100 to 300 g/10 min., measured according to ISO 1133 at 190° C. with a load of 2.16 kg, made from or containing: A) a butene-1 homopolymer or a copolymer of butene-1 with one or more comonomers selected from the group consisting of ethylene and higher alpha-olefins, having a copolymerized comonomer content of up to 5% by mole; B) a copolymer of butene-1 with one or more comonomers selected from the group consisting of ethylene and higher alpha-olefins, having a copolymerized comonomer content of from 6% to 20% by mole;
wherein the composition having a total copolymerized comonomer content from 4% to 15% by mole, referred to the sum of A) and B), and a content of fraction soluble in xylene at 0° C. of 75% by weight or less, determined on the total weight of A) and B).
