Aviation fuel additive scavenger
Aviation fuel formulations receive many benefits when a manganese-containing additive is incorporated in that composition. However, to the extent that the use of a manganese-containing compound may result in the formation of engine deposits during combustion, it is beneficial to further provide a scavenger compound to the fuel composition. This scavenger compound may include a phosphorus-containing compound, an organobromide compounds, and/or a tricarbonyl compound.
POLYOL CARRIER FLUIDS AND FUEL COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING POLYOL CARRIER FLUIDS
A carrier fluid or fluidizer for use in fuel performance additives or fuels including such additives is described herein. The novel carrier fluids include a unique blend of alkoxylated alcohols or polyols providing unexpected performance improvements to fuel performance additives and fuels incorporating the additives. The carrier fluids, when combined with at least a detergent, provide desired valve stick performance and unexpectedly improve the intake valve deposit performance at the same time.
Catalysis of the reaction between hydrogen sulfide scavengers and hydrogen sulfide using tertiary amines
While some triazines have low reactivity, a method and composition is described for improving their reactivity. The H.sub.2S scavenging composition and method utilizes a tertiary amine to catalyze the scavengers with slower kinetics to achieve improved results over traditional systems with the scavenger alone. A hydrogen sulfide scavenging composition comprises: a tertiary amine as a catalyst in at least one of (i) a triazine scavenger selected from the group consisting of: methyl amine, C2-C5 alkyl amine, dimethylaminopropylamine, isopropanolamine, aniline, cyclohexylamine, isobutanolamine and methoxypropylamine triazines/bisoxazolidines; or (ii) an aldehyde-based scavenger such as glyoxal.

ANTIFOULING COMPOSITIONS FOR PETROLEUM PROCESS STREAMS
Disclosed herein are antifouling compositions including a combination of one or more dispersant polymers and one or more inhibitors, the one or more dispersant polymers including the polymerized residues of one or more -olefins and maleic anhydride, further wherein the maleic anhydride residues are reacted with a primary amine; and the one or more inhibitors including a functionalized p-phenylene diamine. Concentrates of the antifouling compositions in solvents are stable and pourable at temperatures of 0 C. to 40 C. The antifouling compositions are added to a petroleum product to form a treated petroleum product, wherein fouling by the treated petroleum product is reduced and a stable dispersion is formed over a wide range of processing conditions.
