Cleaning liquid for aqueous ink
The present invention relates to a cleaning liquid for a water-based ink that contains a pigment and a water-insoluble polymer, said cleaning liquid containing (A) a surfactant, (B) a water-soluble organic solvent containing (b-1) diethylene glycol monoisopropyl ether, and water, in which the surfactant (A) contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (a-1) an acetylene glycol or an ethyleneoxide adduct of the acetylene glycol, and (a-2) a polyethylene glycol alkyl ether containing an alkyl group having not less than 8 carbon atoms or a polyethylene glycol aryl ether containing an aryl group having not less than 6 carbon atoms, and a content of the water-soluble organic solvent (B) in the cleaning liquid is from 5 to 30% by mass; and a method of cleaning a water-based ink using the cleaning liquid.
HIGH FLASHPOINT ALCOHOL BASED CLEANING, SANITIZING AND DISINFECTING COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF USE ON FOOD CONTACT SURFACES
The invention is directed to a high flashpoint alcohol based cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting composition and its method of use on food contact surfaces. More particularly, the present invention relates to a quick drying and ready to use cleaning and sanitizing formula with an isopropyl alcohol level low enough to permit a reduced flammability rating while maintaining microbiological sanitizing and disinfecting properties.
Use of an alcohol hybrid to modify the rheology of polyethoxylated alcohol sulfates
In one embodiment, a polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition is provided which includes a polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate, such as sodium laureth ether sulfate (SLES), water, a mono-alcohol, and a polyol. The two alcohols form a synergistic blend, enabling a significant reduction of the viscosity of the polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition. Also provided is an embodiment of a method for modifying the rheology of polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate by use of a mono-alcohol and a polyol simultaneously. Finally provided is an embodiment of a detergent composition which is prepared by use of the polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition described herein, in addition to other commonly known ingredients.
Cleaning solvent compositions and their use
A cleaning solvent composition comprises from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, and from about 85 to 99.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents. Other cleaning solvent compositions further comprise one or more alcohols. For example, such alcohol-containing compositions may comprise from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, from about 2 to about 25 weight percent of one or more alcohols, and from about 25 to about 97.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HAZARDOUS DRUG SURFACE CLEANING
The present invention relates to a method, a system, and a kit of parts for cleaning a surface contaminated with a hazardous drug or a hazardous drug related product, which involves cleaning in succession with a quaternary ammonium solution followed by an isopropyl alcohol solution.
AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING COMPOSITION WITH DISPERSANT POLYMER
An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a builder selected from the group consisting of carbonate, bicarbonate, citrate, silicate and mixtures thereof; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer comprising: (a) 5 to 75 wt % of structural units of itaconic acid; (b) 10 to 85 wt % of structural units having formula I
##STR00001##
wherein each R.sup.3 is independently selected from a hydrogen and a C(O)CH.sub.3 group; and (c) 10 to 65 wt % of structural units of (meth)acrylic acid; wherein the dispersant polymer has a lactone end group and wherein the dispersant polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 1,500 to 6,000.
Rinsing Solution for Metal Blades
A blade rinse composition comprising about 0.0001 to 0.01 wt. % disodium tetraborate decahydrate, about 0.0001 to 0.01 wt. % cationic surfactant, up to 5 wt. % anhydrous alcohol, and deionized water is disclosed, together with methods of making and using the same. The composition may prevent oxidation and/or contamination of metal blades and premature dullness of the blades.
SURFACTANT SYSTEM
The invention relates to a surfactant composition comprising a primary surfactant of sulfonated methyl ester (SME) of a fatty acid having a chain length of 16 to 18 carbon atoms (C16-C18); a secondary surfactant having a carbon chain length shorter than that of the primary surfactant; a non-ionic co-surfactant; a hydrotrope; and a solvent. The secondary surfactant can be a SME of a fatty acid having a chain length of 12 to 14 carbon atoms (C12-C14) or sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES). The invention also relates to use of said surfactant composition as a surfactant system in a detergent.
CRACKLING CLEANING COMPOSITION
A cleaning composition comprising: (a) from 20 to 49 wt % propellant; (b) from 25 to 55 wt % water; (c) from 3 to 12 wt % glycol alkyl ether; (d) from 2 to 12 wt % of an alcohol selected from the group consisting of ethanol and isopropanol; (d) from 1.5 to 5 wt % of a nonionic surfactant; and (e) from 0.3 to 1.5 wt % of a thickener.
Product for cleaning surfaces
A product for cleaning a surface includes a combination of a first composition with a second composition. The first composition includes hydrogen peroxide and makes up 94-99.5% of the combination by weight. The second composition includes at least one of a silicate, a carbonate, a bicarbonate and a percarbonate and makes up 0.5-6% of the combination by weight. The first composition and the second composition are stored in separate vessels until combined to form the combination. The combination is applied to the surface after mixing.
