Slouch correction device and method
A slouch correction device and method for use on a seating surface of a chair or bed. The device comprises a flexible fabric sheet and a drawing mechanism associated with the fabric sheet. When actuated the drawing mechanism draws the fabric toward the back support, drawing the user's buttocks toward the back support.
Dynamic seating components for wheelchairs
A wheelchair includes a pivotable mechanism. The pivotable mechanism allows for a pivoting movement about an axis defined by an interface between adjacent components. These components may be (a) a seat member and a back member, (b) a seat member and a footrest, (c) a foot rest and a footplate support, (d) a baseplate and a footplate, or (e) a back member and a headrest.
Spacing bar of a wheelchair frame
A spacing bar of a wheelchair frame comprising an elongated structural body having a pair of opposite ends, each of the opposite ends having a C-shaped clamp configured for being clamped to respective lateral frame members of the wheelchair frame, wherein the elongated structural body and the C-shaped clamps are integrally made of a monocoque composite construction, and a tightening assembly for each of the C-shaped clamps, the tightening assemblies being arranged in the spacing bar to loosen and tighten the C-shaped clamps to the respective lateral frame members. A wheelchair frame comprising: a pair of lateral frame members configured to support at least a seat, and front and rear wheel units, the lateral frame members each having an elongated frame portion in a seating zone of the wheelchair frame, and a spacing bar having an elongated structural body and a pair of opposite ends, each of the opposite ends having a connector configured for being clamped to a respective one of the lateral frame member of the wheelchair frame, wherein each of the connectors forms a joint with the respective one of the elongated frame portions constraining the spacing bar to movement of the spacing bar axially along the pair of the elongated frame portion, a tightening assembly for each of the connectors, the tightening assemblies being arranged in the spacing bar to loosen and tighten the connectors to block or allow movement of the spacing bar along the pair of the lateral frame members.
Mobility Device Seat
A seat for a mobility device accommodating flexibility, personalized comfort, and transportability. The seat can include a button push means to enable movement of a height-adjustable armrest. The seat back can fold upon the seat for transportability. The seat cushion and armrest cushion can be removably mounted and separately replaceable. The seat can be mounted upon various types of devices, including, but not limited to, wheelchairs.
Wheelchair device for actively moving a seat unit of a wheelchair
A wheelchair device for actively moving a seat unit, in particular a seat part and/or a backrest part of the seat unit, of a wheelchair, has at least one movement conversion unit which is arrangeable at least in part on at least one drive wheel of the wheelchair and which is provided for the purpose of converting a movement of the at least one drive wheel into a movement of the seat unit.
WHEELCHAIR
The wheelchair includes a pair of body frames and, wheels, cross bars, and a seating portion. The wheels are supported rotatably with respect to the pair of body frames by the pair of body frames. The cross bars are provided so as to extend in the Y-direction across the pair of body frames. The seating portion is attached to the pair of body frames and is the portion on which the wheelchair user sits. In the wheelchair, the body frame and the body frame are movable in the longitudinal direction of the cross bars, respectively. The distance between the body frame and the body frame can be changed by moving the body frames in the longitudinal direction of the cross bars.
Elevation-type armrest
An elevation-type armrest includes a driving assembly and a cushioning assembly. The driving assembly includes a worm, a crank, an axle, a shaft, a worm gear, two toothed wheels and two pinions. The crank is connected to the worm. The axle extends perpendicular to the worm. The worm gear is connected to the axle and engaged with the worm. The first toothed wheel is connected to the axle. The shaft extends parallel to the axle. The second toothed wheel is connected to the shaft and engaged with the first toothed wheel. The pinions are connected to two ends of the shaft. The cushioning assembly includes a supporting tube connected to two racks. Each of the racks includes a toothed portion movably located in a corresponding one of the cylinders and engaged with a corresponding one of the pinions.
Wheelchair backrest and rear wheel assembly
A system of bracket assemblies for a wheelchair comprises a pair of bracket assemblies adapted to be connected to respective sides of a seat frame of the wheelchair. Each of the bracket assemblies has a base adapted to be secured to a seat frame member of the seat frame, an arm adapted to be secured to a backrest frame member of a backrest frame, and a pivot pivotally connecting the base to the arm for rotational movement of the arm relative to the base. One or more blocking mechanism blocks the rotational movement of the arm relative to the base in a use orientation of the backrest frame. A rod having opposed ends connected to the base of the pair of the bracket assemblies for spacing the bracket assemblies away from one another. A rear wheel unit is also provided.
Wheelchair frame
A tube assembly for a wheelchair frame comprises a tubular member having at least a first portion and a second portion angled relative to the first portion, the first portion configured to be in a seating zone of the wheelchair frame. The second portion is configured to be in a bottom front zone of the wheelchair frame, the tubular member defining a surface concavity in its peripheral surface delimited by a peripheral step, the surface concavity located at a junction between the first portion and the second portion of the tubular member. An interface member has a peripheral contour shaped and sized for the interface member to be received in the surface concavity and contoured at least partially by the peripheral step.
Wheelchair
A wheelchair comprising a support frame (200), a seat frame (210), which is connected movingly in its front part to the support frame (200), and is connected in its rear part to the support frame (200) via a spring shock absorbing mechanism in the form of a torsion beam (105) connected to the rear axle (101) of the wheelchair, via at least one connecting element (104) allowing for immobilization of the connection between the torsion beam (105) and the rear axle (101), wherein at least one end of the torsion beam (105) is fixedly connected to the lever (110) which is pivotally connected to the connector (120) connected to the rear part of the seat frame (210), furthermore, the ends of the torsion beam are pivotally supported by the slide sleeves (103) located in the brackets (102) mounted on the rear axle (101).
