THREAD FEEDER OF ROTARY DRUM TYPE WITH DETECTION OF THE DENSITY OF THREAD PRESENT THEREON
Accumulation-type thread feeder including: a body, which bears a rotary drum on which turns of thread from a spool are wound; a tension sensor for detecting value of tension of exiting thread and a detector for detecting thread quantity accumulated on the drum; a light-reflecting element on the drum or functionally associated therewith, such light generated by light a generator borne by a support arranged alongside the drum, the support associated with a detector to detect light reflected by the reflecting element, the reflected light varying as a function of the quantity of thread wound on the rotary drum, the detection allowing detection of such thread quantity. The detector is a light-sensitive member directly receiving the light reflected by the reflecting element along the entire surface of the drum, the member allowing determination of thread density on the drum.
WEFT YARN MEASURING AND STORING DEVICE OF A LOOM
A weft yarn measuring and storing device of a loom includes a drive roller, a support shaft, a support lever is turnably mounted to the support shaft, a feed roller that is rotatably mounted to the support lever and pressed to be contacted against the drive roller by a spring force so that the feed roller is rotated by rotation of the drive roller to pinch a weft yarn therebetween for feeding, and a storing drum that takes up and stores the fed weft yarn. The weft yarn measuring and storing device further includes a friction resistance imparting portion that imparts the support lever a friction resistance against turning of the support lever.

Method and device for storing yarn in order to feed thread without creating twisting thereof
A method for supplying a thread to a textile machine without creating torsions thereof includes picking up the thread from a reel, winding it on a rotary drum driven by an electric motor thereof and supplying such thread to the textile machine, preferably at constant tension and/or quantity. The method provides for measuring the amount of thread leaving the rotary drum and the amount of thread wound thereon and intervening on the rotation of such drum so the amount of thread leaving the drum is equivalent to the amount loaded thereon to avoid the creation of torsion on the thread. A device for implementing such method is also disclosed.
Device for feeding yarn to a textile machine
A device for feeding yarn to a textile machine, including a main body defining an entry portion and an exit portion for yarn; a rotatable drum for winding the yarn originating from the entry portion and a motor connected to the drum for rotating the drum; a control member active at least on the motor to regulate its torque and velocity; exit portion being selectively switchable between a first configuration in which it defines a free exit section for the yarn, through which the exiting yarn defines a closed path about a rotation axis of the drum, and a second configuration in which it defines a limited exit section, through which the exiting yarn defines an open path.
WEFT FEEDER FOR WEAVING LOOMS WITH SPACED THREAD COILS AND ADJUSTABLE- DIAMETER DRUM
A weft feeder for weaving looms with spaced thread coils and adjustable-diameter drum formed of several fixed sectors, each provided with respective support shanks housed in respective seats formed in a static support disk, coaxial to a drive shaft of the weft feeder, and wherein the spacing of said spaced coils on the drum is caused by the oscillatory and tilting movement of several moving sectors, each provided with respective support shanks housed in respective seats formed in a tilting support disk, eccentric and skew with respect to said drive shaft of the weft feeder, and wherein elastic elements are provided, which exert a compressive force on said shanks to keep said fixed sectors and said moving sectors in a position of stable engagement within their respective seats. The fixed sectors and the moving sectors are each provided with a single support shank in the general shape of a trapezoidal right prism, housed in a respective seat consisting of a cavity having a congruent trapezoidal shape, and said elastic elements exert a compressive force on the major base of said support shank having the shape of a trapezoidal right prism.
