CHEMISTRY DISPENSING SYSTEM FOR A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE HAVING REMOVABLE CHEMISTRY CARTRIDGES
A cartridge for a laundry appliance includes an outer housing having an interior chamber therein. The outer housing includes a primary axis and a secondary axis that is perpendicular to the primary axis. A pump is contained within the outer housing that selectively delivers a laundry chemistry from the interior chamber to a dispensing outlet of the outer housing. The dispensing outlet is defined within a contoured edge of the outer housing and orients the dispensing outlet at an oblique angle with respect to the primary and secondary axes. A rotational drive is operated by an external actuator. The rotational drive is positioned within the outer housing and in operable communication with the pump. The rotational drive aligns with a drive aperture defined within a wall of the outer housing for receiving the external actuator.
Dispensing system for a laundry treating appliance
A laundry treating appliance with a treating chamber for receiving laundry for treating and a liquid supply system fluidly coupled to the treating chamber. The liquid supply system includes a water supply system and a dispensing system. The dispensing system includes a faucet, a support structure, one or more drawers, and one or more dispenser outlets for providing treating liquid and treating chemistries. Components of the dispensing system can be activated, e.g. for pretreating laundry items, for use as a utility sink, or during an automatic cycle of operation.
Washing machine and control method of same
The present disclosure relates to a washing machine and a control method of the same. The washing machine includes: a detergent supply device which supplies a liquid additive to the tub; and a controller which controls the operation of the detergent supply device. The detergent supply device includes: a plurality of cartridges which contain the additive respectively; an electrode sensor which detects conductivity of the additive contained in the plurality of cartridges; and a pump which extracts the additive contained in the cartridge. The controller determines a type of additive contained in the cartridge based on a detection value of the electrode sensor.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATING LAUNDRY APPLIANCES WITH DISINFECTING SPRAY
Methods and systems for treating laundry appliances with disinfecting spray are provided. The laundry appliance includes a cabinet defining an opening and a laundry vessel mounted within the cabinet. The laundry vessel defines a treatment chamber. The laundry appliance also includes a spray nozzle positioned and operable to direct a spray of sanitizing agent into the treatment chamber. The laundry appliance may be treated by closing a water valve upstream of the treatment chamber, and, while the water valve is closed, activating a pump to pump the sanitizing agent from a tank to the spray nozzle. Thus, the spray of sanitizing agent is directed into the treatment chamber by and from the spray nozzle.
Dispenser cup
A washing machine includes a cabinet defining a housing with internal components of a conventional automated clothes washer, a door mounted to the cabinet to selectively open/close the opening to the cabinet, and a dispenser in the form of a fill cup assembly in which single or bulk doses of treating chemistry can be received. The fill cup assembly includes a base cup with at least first and second fluid conduits supplying corresponding destinations, and a selector cup defining a pour zone. The selector cup includes an outlet and rotatable relative to the base cup to selectively fluid couple the outlet to the at least first and second fluid conduits.
Method and apparatus for treating cloths
Method and apparatus for treating cloths by spraying with a chemical dispersion including a liquid, the method including: inserting the cloths in a drum that is rotatable about its longitudinal axis, the drum including paddles, where for each of at least two of the paddles the paddle's longitudinal axis forms an angle α of between 5 degrees and 85 degrees with the geometrical orthogonal projection of the paddle's longitudinal axis on a geometrical plane which is normal to the drum's longitudinal axis; with a dispersion supply system providing the chemical dispersion to spraying elements; with rotation elements rotating the drum about its longitudinal axis and reversing the rotational direction at least once, and with spraying elements spraying the drum's interior with the dispersion, the spraying elements being attached a to movable door of a chamber enclosing the drum. The apparatus is adapted for executing the method.
Electronic device
An electronic device includes a camera to capture an image, and a processor to input an image acquired by photographing a detergent container into a trained model to acquire detergent information corresponding to the detergent container, and to guide an amount of detergent dispensed based on washing information corresponding to the detergent information. The trained model is a neural network trained using images of a plurality of detergent containers.
Washing machine and control method thereof
A method for controlling a washing machine includes: detecting a first sensor value by a first set of electrode sensors and a second sensor value by a second set of electrode sensors having at least one electrode sensor which is placed vertically higher than the first set of electrode sensors, the first and second set of electrode sensors comprising at least three electrode sensors which are located at least one of cartridges and configured to detect an amount of detergent contained in the at least one the cartridges; comparing the first sensor value and the second sensor value with a first predetermined value, respectively; passing a predetermined time; redetecting the first sensor value and the second sensor value and calculating a difference sensor value; and determining that the detergent is filling to a height between the first set of electrode sensors and the second set of electrode sensors.
Method and apparatus for washing machine
The present disclosure relates to a washing machine and a control method of the same. The washing machine includes a tub, a drum, and a detergent supply device configured to supply an additive to the tub. The detergent supply device includes a plurality of cartridges configured to contain the additive, a plurality of check valve assemblies that are respectively connected to the plurality of cartridges and configured to control extracting of the additive from the plurality of cartridges, a pump, a water supply valve configured to receive water from an external water source, and an outlet pipe having a plurality of check valve connection pipes that are respectively connected to the plurality of check valve assemblies, the outlet pipe passing therethrough the water supplied from the water supply valve and the additive extracted from the plurality of cartridges.
DISPENSER CUP
A method of supplying treating chemistry to at least a treating chamber or at least one bulk reservoir of a laundry treating appliance. The method including selectively moving a selector compartment defining a selector compartment cup between a first position, where the selector compartment cup is fluidly coupled with the treating chamber and a second position where the selector compartment cup is fluidly coupled with the at least one bulk reservoir.
