CONTAINER CLOSURE SYSTEM AND SEALING ASSEMBLIES FOR MAINTAINING SEAL INTEGRITY AT LOW STORAGE TEMPERATURES
A sealed pharmaceutical container comprises a shoulder, a neck extending from the shoulder, and a flange extending from the neck. The flange comprises an outer surface extending from the underside surface and a contact surface extending between the outer surface and an inner surface defining an opening in the sealed pharmaceutical container. The contact surface comprises an outer peripheral edge disposed proximate to the outer surface of the flange. The sealed pharmaceutical container comprises a sealing assembly comprising a stopper extending over the contact surface of the flange and covering the opening, and a cap securing the stopper to the flange. The stopper comprises a sealing surface that is secured in contact with the contact surface of the flange to form a seal between the flange and the stopper. An outer peripheral edge of the sealing surface is disposed at or radially inward of the outer peripheral edge.
Enteral bag system for nutritional composition
An enteral bag system constructed of two welded panels.
CAP ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICATION CONTAINER
The medication container includes a receptacle and a cap. The cap includes a gate that can be selectively opened to enable access to medications in the receptacle and closed to restrict access to medications in the receptacle. The gate has a locking mechanism that only unlocks to allow the gate to open from the closed position in response to an application of a downward force on a portion of the gate to resiliently deflect a portion of the gate. The cap further includes electronic components that are configured to monitor movement of medications through the cap and into and out of the receptacle, the electronic components including a memory that is configured to store data pertaining to such passages of medications.
ROTARY PILL DISPENSER AND METHOD OF USE
An automated medication dispenser system is disclosed. The system includes a dispenser device comprising a medication dispensing and storage module, a dispensing drive and control mechanism, and a communications interface. A third party communications host is in communication with the dispenser device, and has administration software with executable instructions for control of the dispensing drive and control mechanism to dispense medication from the medication dispensing and storage module. The communications interface is in communication with the third party communications host.
PARTICULATE SILICA SILYLATE KIT FOR TREATMENT OF SURFACES FOR HYDROPHOBICITY CHARACTERISTICS
The present invention provides a method and kit for the treatment of surfaces, such as the skin surface of a user, to impart hydrophobic characteristics upon the surface. The treatment of surfaces to impart hydrophobicity protects equipment, personnel, and animals from the effects of aqueous solutions such as water, toxic slurries, concrete, acids and bases.
DAMP-PROOF PILL BOX
A damp-proof pill box has a container, at least one lid, at least one lock tab, at least one seal ring, and at least one lock part. The container forms at least one storage compartment. The lid is connected to the container and is flippable relative to the container to cover or to open the storage compartment. The lock tab protrudes from an edge of the lid. The seal ring is mounted on an inner surface of the lid. The lock part is pivotally connected to the container. When the lid covers the storage compartment, the seal ring is clamped between the lid and the container, and abuts against a periphery of the opening of the storage compartment to seal the storage compartment. The lock part is capable of engaging with the lock tab to prevent the lid from flipping relative to the container.
Cover for drug product bottles
The cover for a drug product bottle with transfer tubes extending therefrom. The cover is made with two parts that close on each other over a screw cap on a drug product bottle. The parts each have a ledge that fits under the screw cap, an intermediately disposed flange that rests on the screw cap and a semi-circular lid spaced from the flange. The flanges and lids define an encapsulated space when the parts are in a closed position to encapsulate the transfer tubes extending from the bottle.
Medication verification method and system
A medication dispensing system includes an automated dispensing device that includes cells with electronically activated locks. The device is configured to detect when medication counts in the cells fall below predetermined thresholds. The system further includes a plurality of first electronic devices that are associated with some of the cells and that have imagers. In response to any of the medication counts in the cells being below the predetermined threshold, the automated dispensing device is configured to automatically send a replenishment needed notification to the first electronic device associated with the cell. That first electronic device is configured to transmit a picture of a medication to a second electronic device. In response to a positive verification by a user of the second electronic device that the medication in the picture is the correct medication, the second electronic device is configured to transmit an unlock signal to the automated dispensing device.
COVERING ASSEMBLY WITH COAGULANT COMPARTMENT AND USES THEREOF IN A BLOOD MONITORING/MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Disclosed is a covering/lid assembly having a separate first compartment, a second compartment, or both a first and a second compartment, and a button and/or dimple situated on the top side of each compartment. Each compartment will comprise a top side and a bottom side, the bottom side of at least one of the compartments comprising a frangible material. The first or second compartment may comprise a first or a second material. The first material may comprise a red blood cell or blood coagulant or a red blood cell flocculant. Where the first compartment comprises a red blood cell or blood coagulant material, the second compartment will comprise a red blood cell flocculant material. The material from each compartment may be selectively released upon compressing the dimple and/or button of the top side of the respective compartment. A collection and/or biological waste management and disposal system is presented, comprising a covering/lid assembly as described, and a collection container. The covering/lid may include a perimeter having a threaded and/or snap-on assembly suitable for securely attaching the covering/lid assembly to a collection canister. The collection and/or biological waste management and disposal system may include a container comprising a red blood cell flocculant and saline solution. This container may be detachably secured to the canister or provided as a separate accessory to the system.
CONTAINMENT AND DELIVERY SYSTEMS FOR CRYOGENIC STORAGE
Various systems for the containment or delivery of a product are provided. The systems allow for the storage of products at low temperatures and include a container closure inserted into a container (10). The container closure may have an elastomeric body (12) and include a material (14) having a negative coefficient of thermal expansion. In other systems, the material having a negative coefficient of thermal expansion may be inserted between the elastomeric container closure and a seal. Other systems may include an insert at least partially embedded within the elastomeric body of a container closure, an actuator having a distal end movably attached to the insert, and a resilient element between the distal end of the actuator and the insert, wherein the resilient material expands radially upon displacing the distal end of the actuator toward the insert.
