Carboxylated Vinyl Acetate/Ethylene Copolymer Dispersions and Uses Thereof

The present invention relates to preparation of heterogeneous mixtures of (carboxylated) vinyl ester/ethylene dispersions, such as vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) dispersions with polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin (PAE) wet strength resins having a reduced amount of halogenated organic compounds, such as less than 1500 ppm. The dispersion offers extremely low free and bound formaldehyde levels combined with wet tensile strength for use in non-woven textile and paper applications.

WOVEN TEXTILE AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
20210363671 · 2021-11-25 ·

There is provided a method of manufacturing a woven textile, in which a plurality of warp yarns is interlaced with a plurality of weft yarns. A selvedge is formed by interlacing a first subset of the warp yarns with a first subset of the weft yarns and interlacing a second subset of the warp yarns with a second subset of the weft yarns. The first subset of the warp yarns is not interlaced with the second subset of the weft yarns and the second subset of the warp yarns is not interlaced with the first subset of the weft yarns. The method may be used to manufacture a multilayer textile.

ANTIVIRAL FACE MASKS AND AIR FILTERS

Turf reinforcement mats

Disclosed are exemplary embodiments of turf reinforcement mats that include spun yarns and/or multifilament yarns in either or both of the warp and weft directions.

COMPOSITION FOR MAKING SPUN BOND NONWOVEN FABRIC

The invention relates to a composition comprising (A) a propylene-based polymer, (B) a C10-C30 aliphatic carboxylic acid amide and (C) a homopolymer or a copolymer of butene-1, wherein the amount of (B) is 1000 to 5000 ppm based on the total composition and the amount of (C) is 5000 to 50000 ppm based on the total composition.

A NON-WOVEN FABRIC HAVING ETHYLENE/ALPHA-OLEFIN POLYMER FIBERS

A nonwoven fabric comprises at least one fiber having a first component prepared from at least 75 wt. % of bimodalethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition, wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition is characterized by: a density in the range of 0.930 to 0.965 g/cm.sup.3, a melt index (I2) in the range of from 10 to 60 g/10 minutes, wherein the I2 is measured according to ASTM D1238, 190 C, 2.16 kg, a molecular weight distribution, expressed as the ratio of the weight average molecular weight to number average molecular weight (M.sub.w(GPC)/M.sub.n(GPC)) as determined by GPC of from 1.5 to 2.6, a tan delta at 1 radian/second of at least 45, a low temperature peak and a high temperature peak on an elution profile via improved comonomer composition distribution (ICCD) procedure, and a full width at half maximum of the high temperature peak is less than 6.0° C.

Protective textile with tungsten and manufacturing method thereof
11162195 · 2021-11-02 ·

In one aspect, a method of manufacturing a protective textile may include steps of (a) twisting a first yarn with a tungsten filament; and (b) using a second yarn to cover the yarn-tungsten product generated in step (a). The yarn generated in step (b) is further twisted with an elastic spandex. In one embodiment, the first yarn is selected from a group of Nylon, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), cotton yarn, bamboo fiber and Tencel. In another embodiment, a Polyethylene (PE) fiber is the second yarn, and the third yarn may include Nylon, PET or PE. The protective textile is advantageous because it is light, thin, soft and highly cut resistant. Also, it has great electrical conductivity and chemical stability, and it is not easy to deform after washing.
