GASKET FOR WIND TURBINE
The present invention relates to a gasket adapted for being placed between a transition piece and a monopile of a wind turbine. One embodiment relates to a gasket for formfitting the bottom part of a transition piece of a wind turbine, the gasket primarily manufactured in an elastomeric material and shaped as a hollow elongated body for surrounding at least a part of the monopile when mounted between the transition piece and the monopile, such that the gasket stabilizes the position of the transition piece relative to the monopile. The presently disclosed gasket can substitute the traditional grouting or bolting procedures when mounting a transition piece on a monopile.
OFFSHORE STRUCTURE COMPRISING A COATED SLIP JOINT AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME
Offshore structure comprising a pile of a foundation and at least one offshore element, mounted on the pile, forming a slip joint, wherein between an inner surface of the offshore element and an outer surface of the pile: a coating, especially an anti-fouling coating is provided, increasing friction between the said two surfaces and/or preventing corrosion of one or both of said surfaces and/orat least two spaced apart areas are provided with a substance, forming a seal between the said outer surface and the said inner surface, near an upper end of the pile and the off shore element and between a lower end of the off shore element and the pile.
Method of Manufacturing a Connection Between Two Tube Segments of a Tower-Like Structure
Method for manufacturing a connection between two tube segments of a tower-like structure, in particular a wind power plant, in which a first tube segment is pushed into a second tube segment at the end face and an annular space is formed between the tube segments, two at least partially circumferential joining elements spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the tube segments are arranged in the annular space, the joining elements being arranged on an outer wall and/or on an inner wall of one of the tube segments, the tube segments are coupled together via the joining elements, and a mechanical parameter of the mechanical coupling between the tube segments is detected via at least one sensor on at least one of the tube segments, the annular gap being filled with casting compound after initial installation of the structure based on the mechanical parameter.

Pile driving machine
A pile measuring system suitable for determining parameter(s) of a pile during an installation of the pile is disclosed. The pile measuring system comprises at least one positioning sensor and a parameter calculator. Each of the at least one positioning sensor is attached or attachable to a location on a sleeve and configured to measure position coordinates of the respective location on the sleeve. The parameter calculator is suitable for determining the parameter(s) of the pile from the position coordinates measured by the at least one positioning sensor.
Gravity foundation for the installation of offshore wind turbines
A gravity-based foundation for the installation of offshore wind turbines, manufactured in a floating dock for towing to the final destination thereof, where it is anchored and finally completely submerged below sea level, comprising a concrete floating caisson, in the shape of a prism, with a hexalobular base, divided into several cells by at least one partition with a significantly circular cross section, concentric with a central cell, determining inner vertical cells interconnected with each other and with the exterior, which is closed at the top by a cover or covers that are removed once the foundation is anchored before being filled with a ballast material.
Multi-environment self-elevating drilling platform
According to certain embodiments, a method is performed using a self-elevating vessel having at least one preload tank and a plurality of movable support legs each with a spudcan affixed at the base. The method comprises locating the self-elevating vessel at a first ocean environment, lowering the legs to a surface of a seafloor with a first bearing pressure requirement, and filling the at least one preload tank to a first volume that is sufficient to drive the footings into the seafloor. The first volume is different than a second volume that is a volume sufficient to drive the footings into a seafloor of a second ocean environment that has a different bearing pressure requirement than the seafloor of the first ocean environment. The preload tank is sized to have a volume capacity based on the greater bearing pressure requirement between the first and the second ocean environment.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SERVICING WIND TURBINE COMPONENTS THROUGH A LOWER PORTION OF A TOWER
A wind turbine tower is supported on a transition piece that connects the tower to a foundation and that defines a space beneath the lower end of the tower. Electronic components positioned within a removable module in the lower portion of a wind turbine tower may be removed through a lower end of the tower for service or replacement.
