Upending Elongate Structures Offshore
A crane (16) for upending an elongate structure such as a monopile (28) supports elongate rigging elements that are connected to the structure at respective connection axes spaced longitudinally along the structure. At least one of those elements, of fixed length (36), extends to a first connection axis and at least one other of those elements, of variable length (34), extends to a second connection axis. A frame (24) suspended from the crane (16) supports a winch (46) that pays out the variable-length element (34) of the rigging to lengthen that element. This lowers the second connection axis relative to the first connection axis, which serves as a pivot axis about which the structure is upended.

PILE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A PILE
A pile (100) includes a first elongated hollow body (101) having a first end and a second end, the first end being closed by an end member (103) provided with an opening (104). The pile (100) includes a second elongated hollow body (102) having a first end and a second end, the second elongated hollow body (102) being arranged inside the first elongated hollow body (101) so that the first end of the second elongated hollow body (102) extends through the opening (104) and is attached to the end member (103). A method is for installing a pile (100) into the ground.
METHOD FOR INSTALLING A TUBULAR METAL PILE IN ROCKY SOIL
A method for installing a tubular metal pile in a rocky ground, successively comprises the steps of drilling the rocky ground in order to form a cavity of predetermined diameter and depth, filling the cavity with a granular material, arranging the granular material present in the cavity by vibration, and installing the pile in the cavity.

Device and Method for Providing a Sizeable, Slender Object with a Longitudinal Direction Into an Underwater Bottom
Described is a device for providing a sizeable, slender object having a longitudinal direction into an underwater bottom from a deck of a vessel. The device includes a lifting means configured to take up the object at a lifting point thereof and position it on the underwater bottom; an upending tool connected to an edge of the vessel and configured to engage a first circumferential part of the object suspended from the lifting means and provide a pivot around which the object can be upended; and a gripping tool connected to an edge of the vessel and configured to engage a second circumferential part of the object suspended from the lifting means, whereby the first and second circumferential parts are optionally spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the object. The gripping tool includes an actuator system configured to act on at least one of the upending tool and the gripping tool and control movements of at least one of the first and the second circumferential parts, relative to the vessel. A method using the device is also described.
