A ceiling system including a carrier component and at least one removably mounted thereto. The carrier component may extend along a first longitudinal axis and may have a body portion and a plurality of support members extending from the body portion in a spaced apart manner along the first longitudinal axis. The at least one panel may be removably mounted to the carrier component by simultaneous engagement with a first support member of the plurality of support members and a second support member of the plurality of support members. At least a portion of the first and second support members may be located within a cavity of the at least one panel when the at least one panel is mounted to the carrier component.

Modular ceiling system

A structural grid support system adapted for transferring seismic loads to the vertical structural supports of a modular structure. The system includes larger and longer high load capacity main runners with mechanically fastened cross tees, which transfer seismic forces without failing. The structural grid can provide a diaphragm using mechanically fastened connections in a single horizontal plane without requiring additional overhead support from the roof deck, or requiring fewer such supports. The main runners may include additional connecting elements disposed within the usable space beneath the runner (e.g., ventral threaded receivers) for attaching deployment-specific equipment or hardware, such as network cable trays.

AN ASSEMBLY FOR BRACING SUSPENDED NON-STRUCTURAL BUILDING COMPONENTS

An assembly for bracing a non-structural building component mounted adjacent a surface of a building. The assembly has a rigid elongate member, and first and second mounts. In use, the assembly is to be installed between the surface and the non-structural component, with the first mount secured by a fastener to one of the building and the non-structural component, the second mount secured by a fastener to the other of the non-structural component and the building, and the elongate member extending between the first and second mounts and rigidly fixed thereto. The first mount includes an attachment portion, and a connecting portion that is rigidly joined to the attachment portion and that projects away from the attachment portion. The connecting portion defines a fixing element that has a second mounting face, and one or more through-holes that each extend through the respective fixing element in a direction that is generally transverse to the projecting direction of the connecting portion and opens onto the second mounting face. The elongate member is fixable to the first mount by locating the planar wall portion of the elongate member adjacent the second mounting face, and passing fasteners through the through-holes so as to engage the wall portion of the elongate member and thereby secure the elongate member to the first mount.

Ceiling systems

A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid comprised of a plurality of intersecting grid support members and a ceiling tile mountable to the grid. Retaining clips support the ceiling tile from the grid which may be concealed from view. The retaining clips each include a cavity that receives a grid support member and a pair of resilient mounting elements configured to lockingly engage a support member. The mounting elements are laterally movable in response to inserting the support member into the cavity of the retaining clip. In one embodiment, the movable elements include locking tabs which create a snap-fit interlock with the grid support member for securing the ceiling tile to the grid.

An absorber tile element includes compressed mineral fiber material and has a first major surface, an opposing second major surface and at least one side edge surface, and an anchor element associated with one of the first and second major surface or one of the at least one side edge surfaces. The anchor element includes a head portion and a threaded portion, the head portion defining an open cavity facing a top surface. An engagement member is arranged in the cavity, and arranged to engage with a hook element. The threaded portion is threaded into the absorber tile element such that the head portion becomes substantially recessed in the absorber tile element. A corresponding tile system can includes the absorber tile element.
