BLAST RESISTANT SHELTER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A method and apparatus according to which a blast resistant shelter is assembled. The blast resistant shelter includes first and second structural members, a third structural member coupled to the first and second structural members, a first airway adjacent the third structural member, and a first blast panel pivotably mounted to the third structural member and adapted to pivot thereabout in response to a blast wave. In a first configuration, the first blast panel is detachably connected to a first portion of the blast resistant shelter and prevented from pivoting about the third structural member so that the first blast panel obstructs air flow through the first airway. In a second configuration, in response to the blast wave, the first blast panel is detached from the first portion of the blast resistant shelter and permitted to pivot about the third structural member to permit air flow through the first airway.
Method and device for producing a registered embossed material
A method for the continuous in-register embossing of a stretchable film is provided where a repeating printed image or a laminate may be formed by way of the stretchable film in an embossing station. The embossing station may include a rotating embossing roll having an embossed image and an associated rotating counter-roll. The printed image length of the film may be stretched longitudinally before the embossing contact with the embossing roll to a length greater than or equal to or smaller than or equal to the embossed image length or the circumference of the embossing roll. The maintenance of register of the embossing may be achieved by way of a relative speed between the circumferential speed of the embossing roll and the web speed of the film in the embossing station.
Non-Combustible, Breathable Membrane
A coated textile contains a web based on glass fibres having a back face, a front face and at least one edge. The front face is covered with a coating layer based on silicone and back face is capable of being bonded to a support. The coating layer has a thickness between 5 μm and 250 μm and includes at least one inorganic flame retardant compound in a quantity which is sufficient for the coated textile to have a gross calorific value of less than or equal to 3 MJ/kg, the inorganic flame retardant compound having a D50 granule size of less than 50 μm.
CO-FOAMABLE PVC PLASTISOL COMPOSITION AND CO-FOAMED PVC LAYER FOR FLOOR COVERING
A co-foamable vinyl plastisol composition, a gelled or fused co-foamed vinyl layer, a co-foamed vinyl layer, methods of manufacture of the layer and use of the layer in floor coverings such as sheet vinyl, cushioned vinyl flooring, floor tiles, and laminated planks are described. The co-foaming is preferably a sequential foaming of a single layer such as a single coated layer, such as sequentially applied mechanical foaming or frothing followed by chemical foaming. A co-foamable vinyl plastisol composition is mechanically foamed/frothed before it is applied to a substrate. Once on the substrate, the co-foamable layer can be processed further and is chemically foamed in a later process step.
THERMOREGULATION ARTICLES FOR EXTERIORS OF BUILDINGS
A thermoregulation article includes a metal film, a polymer film disposed on the metal film, and a colorant film disposed on the metal film. The thermoregulation article has at least one side having an average reflectivity greater than 0.5 at a wavelength of 0.3-4 μm and an average emissivity less than 0.4 at a wavelength of 4-20 μm.
ANTIVIRAL VINYL-CHLORIDE RESIN COMPOSITION, ANTIVIRAL SHEET OF VINYL-CHLORIDE RESIN, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, INTERIOR DECORATIVE SHEET, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING INTERIOR DECORATIVE SHEET, INTERIOR DECORATIVE SHEET OF POLY(VINYL CHLORIDE) RESIN, ANTIVIRAL WALLPAPER, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ANTIVIRAL WALLPAPER
There is provided an antiviral vinyl-chloride-based resin composition including: 100 parts by weight of a poly(vinyl chloride)-based resin obtained by mixing 10-90 parts by weight of a vinyl-chloride-based resin for paste with 90-10 parts by weight of a suspension vinyl-chloride-based resin; and 0.5-10.0 parts by weight of a sulfonic-acid-based surfactant.
METHOD OF ATTACHING A LINING TO THE INTERIOR SURFACE OF A ROOM
Method of attaching a lining 1 to an interior surface 10 of a room comprising the steps of: providing a first sheet of lining 1 to be applied to the interior surface 10; applying a plurality of glue dots 2 to the interior surface 10 or to the first sheet of lining 1; and attaching the first sheet of the lining 1 to the interior surface 10 such that the first sheet of lining 1 is fixed to the interior surface 10 via the glue dots.
MOBILE INSULATION SYSTEM
Rigid wall shelters are used throughout the world for shipping, living quarters, and housing for electronic systems and are energy inefficient. While investigating energy-efficient technologies for rigid wall shelters the discovery was made to insulate the outside of the shelter rather than the inside. Space is often limited inside of the shelter. The invention of an external, re-deployable insulation system was developed. The present invention is an insulating system composed of three main components. The first component is multiple, flexible envelopes filled with insulating materials (which creates a panel). The second component is multiple insulating strips that cover the joint between the panels. The final component is a weatherproof outer covering that protects the entire system from the elements.
Polygon tile for tessellating and method of making the same
A polygon tile for tessellating includes a body, a cross-member attached to the body, and a sheet extending tautly over the body and the cross-member. The body includes an upper surface, a lower surface, and a perimeter wall defining a first corner, a second corner, and a third corner. The cross-member extends from the first corner to the third corner and includes a first end, a second end, a middle portion, a bottom end attached to the upper surface, and a top end tapering to an apex. The cross-member tapers in height from the middle portion to the first and second ends forming a bowed curvilinear shape. The first and second ends are substantially coextensive with the body. The sheet extends tautly over the perimeter wall and is attached to the lower surface of the body. The sheet slopes from the middle portion to the perimeter wall in all directions.
