Multipoint lock

A multipoint lock is described. The multipoint lock includes a main latch. The main latch has a latched position where the main latch is configured to extend a first distance from an unhinged edge of a door panel. The main latch is configured to be retractable toward the unhinged edge of the door panel by rotation of a latch drive hub in each of a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction relative to a first side of the door panel. The multipoint lock also includes at least one auxiliary latch and a deadbolt drive hub. Rotation of the deadbolt drive hub substantially simultaneously actuates the main latch and the at least one auxiliary latch.

Symmetrical and Reversible-Clutch Mortise Lock
20200392761 · 2020-12-17 ·

The present invention relates to a symmetrical and reversible-clutch mortise lock comprising a central follower, a pair of symmetrical lateral followers, each one located on one side of the central follower to be activated by square bars of handles, a spacer which makes the movement of the two lateral followers independent and a motor, which connects to an actuation lever and which is activated when an access code is validated. The lock further comprises a clutch housed and guided in an accumulator arm able to move linearly to be housed in both lateral followers such that the corresponding lateral follower, when activated by the motion of the door handle, pushes the clutch until it makes contact with the central follower and activates the latch of the lock.

MULTIPOINT LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A SWINGING DOOR PANEL
20200347644 · 2020-11-05 · ·

A multipoint lock assembly for a swinging door panel includes a mortise housing that is installed in a mortise along the non-hinged edge of the door panel. A latch operating mechanism and a lock operating mechanism are disposed in the mortise housing. Each of these mechanisms is designed to be operated with a standard rotary operator such as a handle or knob for the latch operating mechanism and a key and/or thumb turn for the lock operating mechanism. The latch operating mechanism is transitionable between left- and right-hand orientations and includes a deadlatch feature that prevents forced back-drive. Turning the key and or thumb turn of the lock operating mechanism extends a deadbolt and extends upper and lower shoot bolts from edges of the door. When extended, the shoot bolts also are secured against forced back-drive by unique mechanism configurations.

DOOR LOCK

The door lock according to the invention comprises a lock body, a bolt, a follower, a driver on both sides of the follower, and a latch solution to connect at least one of the drivers in force transmission connection and out of force transmission connection with the follower. The door lock further comprises a baffle plate between the follower and the driver at least on one side of the follower. The baffle plate comprises at least one support surface, which is set against the lock body or against a part which is connected to the lock body in a fixed manner. The baffle plate can thus not be rotated in relation to the lock body. A baffle plate which cannot be rotated prevents turning force from being transmitted from the driver to the follower.

VERTICAL ROD ADJUSTMENT DEVICE

A vertical rod coupler includes a bracket, bolt, and cam lock. The bolt is disposed through the bracket and the cam lock, and includes a head and a transverse pin. When the bolt is rotated relative to the cam lock, a pin camming surface cams the transverse pin to adjust the tension in the bolt and/or a distance between the head and the bracket.

INDICATOR LEVER
20200181944 · 2020-06-11 ·

An indicator assembly for a lock assembly in which rotation of an indicator barrel having different indicator symbols is facilitated via magnetic forces. Upon locking of the lock assembly, such as via a push button assembly, an actuator is linearly displaced in a first direction, thereby causing an activation pin that is connected to the actuator to push an activation carrier in the first direction. The activation carrier can also be rotated so that a first pole of a first magnet that is coupled to the activation carrier is linearly and rotatably brought into closer proximity to a similar first pole of a second magnet that is coupled to the indicator barrel. Such displacement of the first magnet can cause a repelling force to be provided between the first and second magnets that facilitates the rotation of the indicator barrel about the lever from a first position to a second position.

A spring assembly for a handle set assembly includes a housing and a gear rotatably positioned within the housing. The gear has a default position and at least one actuated rotated position. The spring assembly includes at least one rack positioned within the housing. The at least one rack is movable in a rack displacement direction that is normal to the axis of rotation of the gear in response to rotation of the gear between a neutral position and a displaced position. The spring assembly includes a slider positioned at a first end of the at least one rack, the slider being slidable along the rack displacement direction. The spring assembly includes at least one spring captured between the housing and slider. The at least one spring is positioned to apply a spring force to the at least one rack toward the neutral position when the at least one rack is in the displaced position.

DOOR HANDLE FOR PROVIDING A BUFFERING EFFECT
20190345734 · 2019-11-14 ·

A door handle for providing a buffering effect has a base, a rotator, an elastic component, a linker, a handle lever, and a damper. The rotator is engaged through the base. The elastic component hooks a limiting rod of the base and the rotator. The linker is disposed around the rotator and has a restricting rib and a pivot rod. The handle lever is inserted into the rotator. A mini buffer of the damper has a cylinder body mounted to the base, and a piston rod. A pivot arm of the damper is disposed around a shaft of the base and rotatably mounted to the piston rod. An extending arm is rotatably mounted to the pivot arm and the pivot rod, respectively. Since damping impact of the buffer effectively retards the restoring process, the strike of the backwardly swinging handle lever is buffered.
