Adjustable door lock and associated method
An adjustable door lock includes a catch plate having a body and a plurality of flanges positioned on an exterior face of the body such that a corresponding gap is formed between the body and each of the flanges, respectively. Advantageously, a catch having a channel is adjustably connected to the catch plate wherein the catch is selectively interfitted through at least of one of the gaps. A door plate is disposed adjacent to the catch plate and adapted to be secured to the door. A locking bolt is in communication with the door plate and linearly reciprocated along a first linear path passing along the door plate and the channel. Notably, the catch is automatically adjusted along a second linear path orthogonally registered relative to the first linear path such that the linear channel automatically becomes axially aligned with the locking bolt as the locking bolt ingresses and egresses the catch.
Latch for an animal house
A latch for an animal house includes a first arm, a second arm, and a body. The first arm and the second arm are connected to each other at one end by the body, and the first arm and the second arm are each flexibly supported at the body. Each arm is independently able to flex with respect to the body. The latch has a flat spring which is adapted to restore the latch to a rest condition in which the arms are aligned with each other.
SYSTEM FOR OPERATING AN AIRCRAFT DOOR
Systems and methods for operating an aircraft door including an airstair are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system comprises a hinge configured to pivotally couple a lower portion of the door to a fuselage of an aircraft, a lift mechanism and an interlock. The lift mechanism causes a movement of the door relative to the hinge between a lowered position and a lifted position. The interlock is configurable between: a locked configuration where the movement of the door relative to the hinge is prevented; and an unlocked configuration where the movement of the door relative to the hinge is permitted.
anti-theft window convenient for middle and high-level emergency escape
The invention discloses an anti-theft window which is convenient for emergency escape of middle and high-rises, and includes a wall. The wall is provided with a housing space. There is a lower window sill, the rear end surface of the lower window sill is fixed on the wall body, the upper end surface of the window is fixed with a left-right symmetrical retaining wall, and an anti-theft window is provided between the retaining walls. The device and the locking device can detachably and stably install the window frame on the front side of the window, which can ensure the safety of the personnel inside the room. Secondly, in the event of an emergency, the window frame is detachable to facilitate outdoor personnel to enter the room for rescue, and the window frame It can be used as a flat board, and people in the room can ride on the window frame and land on the ground through fire protection ropes to escape.
Assembly for Relocating Activation Point for Opening Latch
A system for opening a latch on a barrier comprises an activator configured for receiving user-input, which is arranged at a different height on the barrier than the latch, and a striker configured for selectively engaging the latch responsive to the activator, so as to open the latch. The activator and striker are distinct, linearly displaceable members which are distinct from the latch and interact by camming engagement.
Latch assembly for a mine door and a mine door having such an assembly
A latch assembly for a door having a door body mounted on a door frame includes a retainer movable between a latching position and a non-latching position and configured, in the latching position, to retain the door body in a closed position, and to permit the door body to move with respect to the door frame in the non-latching position to an open position. An actuator is selectively moveable to change the retainer from the latching position to a non-latching position. A linkage is configured to move the retainer in a latching direction toward the latching position and in an unlatching direction toward the non-latching position responsive to actuation of the actuator. A crank is operatively connected to the actuator and linkage and configured to move the retainer toward the latching position as the retainer approaches the latching position.
RECEPTACLE FOR RECEIVING AND SECURING PACKAGES AND OTHER ITEMS
A parcel receptacle includes a bottom member, an exterior wall that extends upward from the bottom member and that defines an interior space, and a top member that is coupled with the exterior wall and configured to cover an opening of the receptacle to enclose the parcel within the interior space. The parcel receptacle also includes a lock mechanism that is operably coupled with the top member and the exterior wall. The lock mechanism is lockable to prevent user access to the interior space and is unlockable to enable the top member to be opened to allow user access to the interior space. A vertical lip of the top member overlaps at least a portion of the exterior wall so that a seam between the top member and the exterior wall is covered by the vertical lip.
DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USING A DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY
A door latch assembly, includes: a catch support assembly, the catch support assembly including a strike body having a pin receiving aperture therein; a catch arm assembly rotatably mounted to the catch support assembly; a latch pin positioned in the pin receiving aperture and movable between a retracted position and an extended position, the latch pin protruding above the strike body in the extended position to impede rotational movement of the catch arm assembly; and a first roller mounted to the catch arm assembly and configured to engage a first side of the latch pin in the extended position; and a second roller mounted to the catch support assembly and configured to engage a second side of the latch pin in the extended position. The latch pin includes a material having a hardness of 60 Rockwell C or more, the first roller includes a material having a hardness of 33 Rockwell C or less, and the second roller includes a material having a hardness of 60 Rockwell C or more.
CABINET SECURITY SYSTEM
A process and apparatus for providing a cabinet security system is disclosed. The system includes a magnetic lock to be mounted on a movable cabinet panel and a catch that is mounted on a cabinet frame and configured to engage the magnetic lock to hold the cabinet panel in a closed position relative to the cabinet frame.
Wrap-around gate latch
Disclosed herein is a wrap-around gate latch assembly comprising a base frame formed by connecting together a front frame, a central frame, and a back frame. The base frame can be wrapped around a gate post for installation without drilling through the gate post. A moving plate is provided to communicate between a front part and a back part that are mounted on the base frame. A movable hook is provided in the front part, that engages or disengages with a striker bar in a latched or an unlatched position respectively. A first push button provided on the front part, is operated to disengage the hook from the striker bar for opening the latched gate. A second push button provided on the back part, is operated to push a single moving plate towards the front part thereby triggering the movable hook to release the striker bar.
