METHOD FOR MOUNTING AN UNDERSEA INSTALLATION COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE SECTION OF PIPE, AND ASSOCIATED INSTALLATION
A method has the following steps: a) providing an undersea foundation arranged on the bed of a body of water; b) laying a section of pipe and of an in-line structure on the foundation and allowing the section of pipe to freely self-orient on the foundation; c) placing at least one guide on the foundation on both sides of the section of pipe; d) blocking the guide on the foundation to laterally clamp the section of pipe with respect to the foundation, while authorizing a longitudinal movement of the section of pipe with respect to the guide.
Downhole swivel apparatus and method
What is provided is a method and apparatus which can be detachably connected to an annular blowout preventer thereby separating the drilling fluid or mud into upper and lower sections and allowing the fluid to be displaced in two stages, such as while the drill string is being rotated and/or reciprocated. In one embodiment the sleeve can be rotatably and sealably connected to a mandrel. The swivel can be incorporated into a drill or well string and enabling string sections both above and below the sleeve to be rotated in relation to the sleeve. In one embodiment the drill or well string does not move in a longitudinal direction relative to the swivel. In one embodiment, the drill or well string does move longitudinally relative to the sleeve of the swivel.
NOISE MITIGATION OF SUBSEA OIL AND GAS EQUIPMENT USING SUBSEA ACOUSTIC INSULATION
Subsea acoustic insulation is used to mitigate noise associated with any one or a combination of a deep-water production tree, a deep-water manifold or structure, subsea pumping equipment, or subsea compression equipment. A subsea oil and gas facility includes subsea equipment having one or more devices that generate noise during operation, and subsea acoustic insulation surrounds at least a portion of the subsea equipment and is configured to attenuate the generated noise.

Testing a solenoid of a directional control valve
A method of testing a solenoid of a directional control valve in a subsea hydrocarbon production system, the solenoid having a coil and an armature for operating the valve and the coil being energized by a drive voltage across it, the method comprises removing or reducing the drive voltage and sensing current through the coil to produce an indication of movement of the armature.
Method for Evacuating Hydrocarbon from a Subsea Process Module
Method for evacuating hydrocarbon from a subsea process module (210), the subsea process module having an upper fluid connection point (222) and a lower fluid connection point (232), the method comprising: connecting (110) a receiving container line (220) to the upper fluid connection point (222) of the subsea process module (210); connecting (120) a liquid adding line (230) to the lower fluid connection point (232) of the subsea process module (210); displacing (130) hydrocarbon by a liquid displacement medium added through the liquid adding line (230); removing (140) the liquid adding line from the lower fluid connection point (232); connecting (150) a gas adding line (260) to either the upper fluid connection point (222) or a lower fluid connection point (232); connecting (160) a receiving container line (220) to the lower fluid connection point (232) and or another lower fluid connection point; diluting (170) the remaining hydrocarbon by a gas medium added through the gas adding line (260).
SUBSEA FLOWMETER CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A subsea connector assembly with flowmeter incorporated therein. The assembly is particularly configured for securing a flexible flowline at subsea production managing hardware such as at a manifold at a seabed or Christmas tree at a well head. Incorporating a flowmeter into the connector as opposed to such comparatively larger scale hardware ultimately saves substantial material, transport, installation, footspace and other costs.
Subsea autonomous chemical injection system
A subsea chemical injection system and method for injecting chemicals into a hydrocarbon production assembly adjacent the seabed wherein a seawater volume flowmeter is utilized to measure seawater pumped through the system and a chemical subsea mass flowmeter is used to measure a chemical injected into the seawater, where the chemical subsea mass flowmeter measures the chemical at a pressure less than the seawater pumped through the system. Based on the chemical subsea mass flowmeter measurement, the flowrate of a chemical injected into the seawater can be adjusted to a predetermined setpoint corresponding to the flowrate of seawater pumped through the system. The chemical subsea mass flowmeter includes a Coriolis tube and chemical injection process pump housed within a pressure vessel. The subsea chemical injection system may be carried on a skid.
Injection molded noise abatement assembly and deployment system
Acoustic resonators are formed by injection molding or other process that allows the shape, size, orientation, and arrangement of each resonator to be customized. Customizing the features of the resonators allows their resonance frequency to be adjusted based on their intended deployment. A non-periodic or non-uniform arrangement of the resonators can increase the level of noise reduction compared to a periodic or uniform arrangement of the resonators. A chain guard includes a recess to receive a chain that supports a plurality of resonator rows or frames. In the stowed configuration, the chain guard pivots towards the row/frame to more compactly stow a panel of resonators.
