GASKET FOR WIND TURBINE
The present invention relates to a gasket adapted for being placed between a transition piece and a monopile of a wind turbine. One embodiment relates to a gasket for formfitting the bottom part of a transition piece of a wind turbine, the gasket primarily manufactured in an elastomeric material and shaped as a hollow elongated body for surrounding at least a part of the monopile when mounted between the transition piece and the monopile, such that the gasket stabilizes the position of the transition piece relative to the monopile. The presently disclosed gasket can substitute the traditional grouting or bolting procedures when mounting a transition piece on a monopile.
Method for Lifting an Object From a Vessel Deck
Described is a method for lifting an object from a vessel deck. A hoisting means present on the vessel deck is provided with a hoisting cable to which an attaching means for the object is coupled. The object is connected to the attaching means and then taken up and displaced relative to the vessel deck using the attaching means. The swinging movements of the attaching means and of the object connected thereto, occurring under the influence of wave and wind forces, are damped during displacement by a gyroscope which is connected to the hoisting cable, attaching means and/or object and which includes a rotation-symmetrical body rotating around a primary rotation axis.
Pile and method of installing
A method for installing a pile, in particular a monopile for a wind turbine, in a soil, comprising the method steps: —driving the pile into the soil using a vibration device; and—compacting soil material surrounding a lateral surface of the pile.
SINGLE-UPRIGHT-COLUMN MOORING TYPE WELLHEAD PRODCUTION OPERATION PLATFORM
Disclosed is a single-upright-column mooring type wellhead production operation platform, comprising an upright column body, a positioning and mounting assembly, a rotating table, an oil extraction operation platform and at least one inner well slot, wherein the upright column is of a hollow structure; the positioning and mounting assembly is arranged at a bottom of the upright column body; the rotating table is arranged outside the upright column body, is rotatable around an axis of the upright column body and comprises a mooring connection apparatus; the oil extraction operation platform is arranged on the top of the upright column body and is located above the rotating table, and the oil extraction operation platform is provided with an oil extraction operation assembly; and the inner well slot is arranged in the upright column body and can be connected to the oil extraction operation platform. The platform can adapt to an economic index of extraction of a marginal field. Disclosed are a single-upright-column wellhead production operation platform and a rotary mooring conveying system for oil-producing operation at the same time.
Pull-in head assembly
A pull-in head assembly (8) for releasably connecting a pulling arrangement (112) to an elongate flexible structure (4, 6). The pull-in head assembly (8) comprises a body (30) which defines a pulling axis X of the pull-in head assembly (8) and a retaining member (32) arranged around the pulling axis X. The retaining member (32) is configured to secure the pull-in head assembly (8) to an elongate flexible structure (4, 6) such that, in use, a pulling force exerted on the pull-in head assembly (8) along the pulling axis X is transferred to the elongate flexible structure (4, 6). The retaining member (32) is configured to release the pull-in head assembly (8) from the elongate flexible structure (4, 6) when the pulling force exceeds a predetermined threshold such that the pull-in head assembly (8) can be separated from the elongate flexible structure (4, 6).
Method for Forming a Connection Between Two Pipe Segments of Different Widths and a Correspondingly Produced Connection
The invention relates to a method for forming a connection between two pipe segments of different widths, preferably of a tower-like structure, in particular of a wind turbine. In order to be able to connect pipe segments of different widths more easily, reliably and cost-effectively to one another, it is provided that the wider pipe segment is pushed with one end partially over an end of the narrower pipe segment , that the pipe segments are positioned apart from one another by forming an annular gap between the pipe segments, that in the annular gap between the two pipe segments a separating layer extending in the longitudinal direction of the pipe segments and/or in the radial direction is provided, that the annular gap adjacent to the separating layer and at least one side of the separating layer is at least partially cast with a casting compound, that during the hardening of the casting compound the casting compound forms a firm connection on one side of the separating layer with only one of the pipe segments and/or the casting compound forms a firm connection on the other side of the casting compound , only with the other pipe segment and that the pipe segments after the hardening of the casting compound are separated again along the separating layer with the assigned separate connecting elements in particular formed by the hardened casting compound.
Pile holding system
A pile holding system configured to support the pile in an upright position at a pile installation location next to the vessel. The pile holding system includes a pile holder and a pile holder support system. The pile holder support system is configured to be mounted on the deck of the vessel, to moveably support the pile holder, and to move the pile holder in a first direction between an inboard position and an outboard position. The pile holder, when in the outboard position, is located outside the contour of the vessel, for holding the pile in the upright position at the installation location. The pile holder, when in the inboard position with the first and second jaw in the open position, is located within the contour of the vessel.
Habitable structure for marine environments
Marine habitation units are disclosed for use in the open sea. Each unit includes a habitable chamber; a column including a first end, and a second end, opposite the first end, the second end for mounting in a sea bed; and, and, a segment in communication with the habitable chamber, and the first end of the column. The segment is moveable both substantially vertically, and, rotatably, allowing the wherein the habitable chamber and the column to move substantially vertically, and, rotatably, with respect to each other.
Vessel and Device for Upending an Elongate Element from a Deck of the Vessel Using a Lifting Means
Described is a vessel and device for upending an elongate element from a deck of the vessel using a lifting means. A number of support structures, mutually coupled and running parallel to each other, for supporting an elongate element in lying position can be displaced collectively, parallel to the deck, relative to the position of the lifting means by displacing means provided for this purpose. A support structure of the device includes an upending tool which is connected for pivoting around an axis running parallel to an edge of the vessel to the relevant support structure and is configured to support an elongate element received in the support structure when this element is upended with the lifting means, wherein the upending tool is rotated around the axis. With the device elongate elements can be moved within reach of a lifting means.
Motion arresting and dampening device
In embodiments, motion may be arrested and/or dampened using a motion arresting and dampening device comprising a lifting spreader bar, one or more bar mounted winches, deployment wire, a restorative inflation device, restraining wires and winches, hoses and controller, mechanical connection release system circuitry. Multiple restraints from winches mounted strategically on a vessel crane's boom may be applied to the spreader bar to restrain the bar during the lifting operation. The forces induced into the lifted object by the movement of the crane as it deploys the object into installation position are attenuated by the physical restrain of the adjustable wires. These adjustable wires may also be used to provide rotation of the object during final alignment of the object during installation.
