High solids edge coatings for building panels
Described herein is a coating composition suitable for application to a building panel. The coating composition includes inorganic pigment, liquid carrier, and a humectant including a first ester-containing compound. The liquid carrier may be present in an amount ranging from about 10 wt, % to about 30 wt. % based on the total weight of the coating composition. Described herein are also building panels coated with the coating composition and methods of their production.
HOUSINGS AND ASSOCIATED DESIGN FEATURES FOR CEILING ARRAY MICROPHONES
Housings and associated mechanical and ornamental design features directed to ceiling-mounted electro-acoustical components, such as array microphones, for example, for use in a suspended ceiling, are provided. In an embodiment, a housing for a ceiling array microphone is configured for mounting the microphone within a grid system of a suspended ceiling. The housing comprises a mounting element for mounting the housing within the grid system. The mounting element includes a lipped portion positioned approximate a periphery of the housing and configured to engage the grid when the housing is mounted with the grid system.
Ceiling tiles
A ceiling structure includes a suspended framework having a plurality of main runners and a plurality of cross runners interconnected to define an array of tile receiving openings, each of the plurality of main runners and the plurality of cross runners including a tile mating surface facing downward to define a mounting frame at each respective tile receiving opening, and a plurality of ceiling tiles positioned within the array of tile receiving openings, each of the plurality of ceiling tiles having a main body. The main body of the ceiling tile includes a base having a periphery, a plurality of magnets positioned at the periphery and sized and shaped to magnetically couple the ceiling tile within a respective one of the tile receiving openings, and a plurality of baffles coupled to the base, each baffle being spaced apart from the other. Related methods, systems, and ceiling tiles are also provided.
AN ACOUSTIC PANEL, A SUSPENDED ACOUSTIC SYSTEM USING SUCH ACOUSTIC PANEL, AND A BASEBOARD
An acoustic panel made of a compressed mineral fibre material including two major surfaces and at least one side edge connecting the two major surfaces is provided. The panel has a perimeter region associated with the at least one side edge and delimiting a central region. The acoustic panel includes a first reinforcing structure having a strip-shaped extension across the inner boundary portion from a first position in the perimeter region to a second position in the perimeter region. Further a baseboard is provided.
Cladding system including a flexible grid and panels
The present disclosure relates generally to cladding that forms an architectural surface, for example, suitable for forming a ceiling. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a cladding system including a plurality of flexible grid members arranged so as to form a grid that extends in at least two dimensions and includes grid cells that are delimited by the flexible grid members and a plurality of panels supported by the grid. At least a first portion of the panels are arranged so as to form an architectural surface.
CEILING FAÇADE SYSTEM
A ceiling faade system includes: a ceiling tile including an interior panel defining a first edge extending along a first side of the ceiling tile and a second edge extending along a second side of the ceiling tile opposite the first edge, a heating element, and an insulator layer arranged over the heating element opposite the interior panel; a first receiver extending along and configured to support the first side of the ceiling tile on a linear lighting track arranged on a ceiling structure and configured to locate the first edge of the interior panel adjacent and partially concealing the linear lighting track; and a second receiver extending along and configured to support the second side of the ceiling tile on a linear seam track arranged on the ceiling structure, the linear seam track laterally offset from the linear lighting track.
Acoustic and illuminating ceiling panel
An acoustic and illuminating ceiling panel includes a layer of acoustic absorbent material, the layer including a main inner face intended to be pointed toward the inside of the room, and light sources on the main inner face that is optionally covered by a voile fabric and/or coated, with a paint, wherein the light sources include organic light-emitting diode (OLED) modules with a luminous efficacy greater than or equal to 60 lm/W, and wherein a number and size of the OLED modules are adapted so that the ceiling panel provides an acoustic absorption coefficient w greater than or equal to 0.7.
CEILING SYSTEM
A ceiling system, a ceiling panel, and a method of covering a ceiling support with a plurality of ceiling panels. In one aspect, the invention may be a ceiling system comprising: a plurality of ceiling panels, each of the ceiling panels comprising: an upper face; a lower face opposite the upper face; a first edge, a second edge, a third edge opposite the first edge, and a fourth edge opposite the second edge; each of the first and second edges comprising a tongue; and each of the third and fourth edges comprising a groove; and a plurality of alignment clips, each of the alignment clips comprising a cruciform rib element.
MONOLITHIC CEILING SYSTEM
Described herein is a method for forming a monolithic surface in a ceiling system, the method comprising overlapping a first facing sheet and a second facing sheet to create an overlap region, each of the first and second facing sheets having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, wherein the lower surface of the first facing sheet contacts the upper surface of the second facing sheet within the overlap region, and running a blade of a cutting tool along the overlap region such that the blade extends through the first and second facing sheets at a cutting angle that is oblique to the first major surface of the first facing sheet within the overlap region.
Vented suspension ceiling beam and suspension ceiling system
The present disclosure relates generally to suspension ceiling grids, for example, suitable for holding a suspension ceiling composed of ceiling tiles. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a vented suspension ceiling support beam including an elongate body extending in a longitudinal direction. The body includes a vertical web, and opposing first and second flanges protruding laterally from the vertical web. A vent is formed through the first flange.
