METHOD OF MONITORING A FLUID LEVEL WITHIN A FLUID VOLUME
A method of monitoring a low water volume of a water circulation system is disclosed that includes detecting an auxiliary measurement associated with an ancillary device fluidly coupled with a reservoir of water in a water circulation system and then determining whether the ancillary device is performing under a low water volume operation. The low water volume operation is based upon a comparison between at least the detected auxiliary measurement of the ancillary device and a condition associated with a performance of the ancillary device under the low water volume operation.
CONCEPTS AND METHODS FOR POOL SYSTEM COMMUNICATION BETWEEN CONNECTABLE DEVICES
A chlorinator system includes a swimming pool chlorinator, at least one transceiver that provides short-range communication between the swimming pool chlorinator and at least one pool and spa system component, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium containing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations include receiving a short-range wireless communication request originating from the at least one pool and spa system component. Additionally, the operations include establishing a short-range wireless communication link with the at least one pool and spa system component. Further, the operations include receiving a control request from a remote computing device with instructions to control the at least one pool and spa system component and controlling the at least one transceiver to wirelessly transmit control signals to the at least one pool and spa system component.
Safety vacuum release system
Some embodiments of the invention provide a pumping system for at least one aquatic application. The pumping system includes a pump, a motor coupled to the pump, a user interface associated with the pump designed to receive input instructions from a user, and a controller in communication with the motor. The controller determines a power parameter associated with the motor and compares the power parameter to a predetermined threshold value. The controller triggers a safety vacuum release system based on the comparison of the power parameter and the threshold value.
WATER CIRCULATION SYSTEM FOR A POOL AND A POOL
A water circulation system for a pool comprises a water outlet assembly mounted to an inner wall of a pool, and in fluid communication with an external pump through a water outlet pipe. The water circulation system also includes an air inlet assembly mounted to the pool a preset distance from the water outlet assembly, and an air outlet assembly attached to the water outlet assembly and in fluid communication with the water outlet assembly. An air inlet passage connects the air inlet assembly to the air outlet assembly, so external air can enter the air inlet assembly and be introduced to the water outlet assembly through the air outlet assembly. Air is introduced to the water outlet by the air outlet when the water outlet assembly is blocked, reducing negative pressure at the water outlet and reducing risk that a portion of a user's body is drawn against or into the water outlet.
3-DIMENSIONAL POROUS MONO-POLAR ELECTRODE BODY, ELECTRIC STERILIZATION FILTER INCLUDING 3-DIMENSIONAL POROUS MONO-POLAR ELECTRODE BODY, AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD USING 3-DIMENSIONAL POROUS MONO-POLAR ELECTRODE BODY
Disclosed is a 3-dimensional porous mono-polar electrode body that includes a 3-dimensional porous parent substance, which has a 3-dimensional structure including a side and a remaining side that communicate with each other via a plurality of pores arranged in multiple layers and which is made of a metal material to have dimensional stability, and an electrode catalyst layer applied on the 3-dimensional porous parent substance. The 3-dimensional porous mono-polar electrode body is used to remove microorganisms contained in treatment water to thus minimize the consumption of power, which is required to remove the microorganisms, prevent secondary pollution, and ensure the durability of an electrode.
Swimming pool cleaning device including a removable filter device
The invention is a swimming pool cleaning apparatus comprising a cleaning unit intended to be immersed in the swimming pool, at least one liquid filter circuit between at least one liquid net and at least one liquid outlet via a filter chamber removable from the body of the cleaning unit. The filter chamber comprises a cover and a filter basket. The cover including releasable means for fastening the filter basket and means for locking the filter chamber to the body of the cleaning unit, these locking means being releasable and, when released, causing an extraction handle to be deployed from the filter chamber and urged towards a predetermined position.
Water bonding device and methods of use
Embodiments include a water bonding device for electrically grounding a swimming pool. One embodiment includes a bonding electrode installed in a pool skimmer or pump strainer. The bonding electrode typically resides in a skimmer or strainer cavity, and a ground conductor coupled directly to the electrode extends out of the skimmer or strainer through a port. A plug assembly forms a water tight seal against the port and the ground conductor, providing a water tight access point for the ground conductor to enter the pool skimmer or pump strainer. The ground conductor is typically electrically connected to both the bonding electrode and a ground pole residing at ground potential.
IMPROVED COOLING APPARATUS
The invention relates to an improved cooling apparatus for swimming pools including an inlet for water and an outlet for returning the water with a body between the inlet and outlet, with a reservoir for water contained within. A cooling arrangement associated with the body is included, the cooling arrangement able to act upon and cool the water introduced through the inlet. Further a water control apparatus, associated with the cooling arrangement is included, the water control apparatus including a high level valve and a low level valve, whereby the cooled water in the reservoir is returned through the outlet when the water level in the reservoir is above the lower level valve, and water enters the inlet only when the water level in the reservoir is below the high level valve. The invention also relates to variants thereon and methods of use.
Intelligent Solar Aware Load Controller
A hybrid solar load controller. The controller determines values to carry out what is referred to herein as “best effort” pumping during sun hours, understand its progress, and then “finish the job” with AC power after sun hours have concluded, while taking fullest advantage of pump affinity when on paid-power pump. In embodiments, the pump can be a water pump for a pool, and a goal can be set as a total volumetric goal. The goal can also be a fill level for a container.
Systems and methods for maintaining pool systems
One aspect of the invention provides a system including: a liquid filter configured for fluidic communication with a fluid repository; a flow sensor in fluidic communication with the liquid filter; a variable-speed pump in fluidic communication with the liquid filter and the flow sensor; and a processor in electronic communication with the flow sensor and the variable-speed pump. The processor is configured to: determine a total volume threshold for a filtration procedure of the fluid repository; identify a set of fluid flow activities performed by the variable-speed pump; determine a remaining volume for completing the filtration procedure by reducing the total volume threshold by a volume of fluid moved by the variable-speed pump during the set of fluid flow activities; and determine, from a set of energy-expenditure factors and the remaining volume, an activation schedule and an activation power output of the variable-speed pump for completing the filtration procedure.
