A telescopic mast is disclosed including coaxial segments that can be controlled from a stowed position to a deployed position, a set of guide systems disposed between the adjacent segments, a set of systems for synchronising the segments during deployment and a system for driving the segments from the stowed position to the deployed position. Each segment includes the same determined number of angle sections secured together and extending over the entire length of the segment, the number of angle sections being at least three, each segment having a cross-section forming a polygon whose angle sections occupy the vertices, each angle having a flat central portion bordered by two side wings, the angle sections of two adjacent segments facing one another. Each guide system is disposed between two adjacent segments being fastened on one of the angle sections of one of the two adjacent segments and comprising rollers rolling on the central portion of the opposite angle section belonging to the other one amongst said two adjacent segments.

A mobile lighting device is disclosed with extendable boom sections. The boom sections are stored in a horizontal position and then pivot to a vertical position before being extended upward. A light section is positioned at the uppermost end of the last extendable boom section. A variety of safety features are also disclosed.

Safety brake for multi-segment telescopic mast of the type used in masts of lighting, surveillance or communication towers, having at least one retractable reel fixed jointly on the top of an external segment of the telescopic mast of the lighting, surveillance or communication tower, in which a tape, or rope is wound, terminated by its free end in a fixing piece, fixed jointly on the inner lower part of an internal segment of the telescopic mast, passing the tape, or rope in the gap between both segments, providing the retractable reel for winding and unwinding the belt, or rope, having to detect an acceleration greater than a preset in the removal of the tape, or rope, and having to block the tape, or rope in case of acceleration greater than a preset in the removal of the tape, or rope.

A telescopic edge protection post arrangeable between a floor and a ceiling, wherein the telescopic edge protection post comprises an outer tube having a floor end and a top end, and an inner tube having a bottom end and a ceiling end. The inner tube extends into the outer tube and is movable with respect thereto between an extended position and a collapsed position. The post further has a locking mechanism arranged to lock the inner tube with respect to the outer tube, and a tensioning device. The locking mechanism comprises a fixed element, which is attached to the outer tube at its top end, and a movable element, which is movable with respect to the fixed element between a locking position in which the movable element engages with the inner tube and the fixed element to prevent the inner tube from being retracted into the outer tube.

An inverted telescoping mast configured to be mounted to a ceiling or other structure within a building for supporting a payload at a range of heights within the building. The mast can include cable management for routing of cables external the mast for supplying/exchanging power, control signals, data etc. to the payload. An internal spring retains the mast in the retracted position. A tension control system restricts extension and/or retraction of the mast when actuating cable tension is above or below respective tension thresholds.

A telescopic mast includes: a tubular main body in which a power supply signal wire is embedded; one or more tubular sections coupled to be withdrawn from or insertable into the tubular main body; one or more coupling members which are provided at the top ends of the tubular main body and the tubular sections to fix or release the coupling between the tubular main body and the tubular sections during a withdrawn or insertion operation of the tubular sections; and a power supply coupling member which is connected to the power supply signal wire embedded in the tubular main body to supply power thereto.

A telescopic edge protection post arrangeable between a floor and a ceiling, wherein the telescopic edge protection post comprises an outer tube having a floor end and a top end, and an inner tube having a bottom end and a ceiling end. The inner tube extends into the outer tube and is movable with respect thereto between an extended position and a collapsed position. The post further has a locking mechanism arranged to lock the inner tube with respect to the outer tube, and a tensioning device. The locking mechanism comprises a fixed element, which is attached to the outer tube at its top end, and a movable element, which is movable with respect to the fixed element between a locking position in which the movable element engages with the inner tube and the fixed element to prevent the inner tube from being retracted into the outer tube.

There is disclosed a telescopic mast including one or more telescopic members with parallel walls. One of two adjacent telescoping sections is narrower than the other of the two adjacent telescoping sections such that a telescoping section can be moved into and out of, respectively, of a surrounding telescoping section in a telescopic member. This surrounding telescoping section can be moved into and out of a further telescoping section in a further telescopic member. In the one telescoping section in a telescopic member there is provided a guide rail running in axial direction of the telescoping section. Between each of two adjacent telescoping sections in a telescopic member there is provided at least one spacer means arranged for keeping the telescoping sections apart and controlling their mutual movement. This means includes a mounting fitting fastened to the second telescoping section in a telescopic member and a flexible sleeve mounted in the mounting fitting. In the flexible sleeve is fitted a slide shoe that includes a pin for engaging the flexible sleeve, and a groove arranged for engaging the guide rail.
