PLASMA GENERATING BRONCHOSCOPE AND METHOD OF KILLING PATHOGENS AND HEALING LUNG TISSUE
A bronchoscope capable of employing atmospheric plasma, using biocompatible gases, temperatures, and pressures to disinfect and promote healing of human internal soft tissue, including, for example: mouth, sinuses, throat, stomach, colon, intestine, and lung tissues.
Atmospheric plasma device
The present disclosure relates to a plasma device for alleviation of various skin troubles or for skin care, and provides a remote type plasma device wherein a plasma spray device is separated from the body thereof and is connected to a controller in the body. Plasma is produced under atmospheric pressure at room temperature. The plasma device of the present disclosure includes a dielectric barrier and thus can maintain stable glow discharge. Atmospheric plasma is unexceptionally sprayed through a ground electrode, and thus does not electrically irritate the skin at all.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MEDICAL PLASMA TREATMENT AND GENERATION OF PLASMA ACTIVATED MEDIA
A membrane plate assembly is disclosed for use with a cold atmospheric plasma applicator to expose a medium to plasma beams from the plasma applicator. The membrane plate assembly includes a membrane plate stack configured to receive the plasma beams from the plasma applicator. The membrane plate stack includes a plurality of membrane-covered structures facing each other in a generally parallel arrangement and being spaced apart to define a channel therebetween through which the plasma beams are directed. Each membrane-covered structure includes a structure and a membrane covering outer surfaces of the structure with a gap therebetween through which the medium is flowed.
COLD PLASMA GENERATING ARRAY
A cold plasma device generates cold plasma to treat an area of a biological surface. The device includes an array of cold plasma generators associated with a substrate. Each of the cold plasma generators has an electrode and a dielectric barrier. The dielectric barrier has a first side that faces the electrode and a second side that faces away from the electrode. A controller is operably coupled to the array of cold plasma generators and is programmed to control each of the cold plasma generators to generate a plasma dose.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR STERILIZING PLANT MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS
A variety of plant products that are intended for consumption can become contaminated with microbial growth. The levels of contamination must be reduced or eliminated in order for the product to pass microbial growth testing standards. The contaminated plant product can be sterilized using high pressure processing to treat the product with a pressurized gas at a temperature for a desired period of time to reduce the level of the microbial contaminants present in the plant product to a predetermined acceptable level. After treatment, the sterilized plant product can then pass microbial testing standards and be fit for consumption.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR KILLING SKIN OR TISSUE SURFACE BACTERIA
A device for killing bacteria on a surface includes an application anode plate having a silver surface adapted for contact with a first epithelial surface, a cathode plate having an electrically conductive cathodic surface layer adapted for contact of the surface layer with a second epithelial surface; and a source of direct electrical current.
Harmonic cold plasma device and associated methods
A method for generating atmospheric pressure cold plasma inside a hand-held unit discharges cold plasma with simultaneously different rf wavelengths and their harmonics. The unit includes an rf tuning network that is powered by a low-voltage power supply connected to a series of high-voltage coils and capacitors. The rf energy signal is transferred to a primary containment chamber and dispersed through an electrode plate network of various sizes and thicknesses to create multiple frequencies. Helium gas is introduced into the first primary containment chamber, where electron separation is initiated. The energized gas flows into a secondary magnetic compression chamber, where a balanced frequency network grid with capacitance creates the final electron separation, which is inverted magnetically and exits through an orifice with a nozzle. The cold plasma thus generated has been shown to be capable of accelerating a healing process in flesh wounds on animal laboratory specimens.
METHODS OF AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING ANTIMICROBIAL WIPES
Exemplary methods of and system for generating an antimicrobial wipe to clean and disinfect a surface contaminated with bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi, or combinations thereof. In some embodiments, the method includes applying non-thermal plasma to a moistened wipe to activate a liquid in the wipe. In some embodiments, the method includes applying non-thermal plasma to a liquid and then applying the activated liquid to a wipe. In one embodiment of a system for generating an antimicrobial wipe the system includes a housing having an opening; a supply of wipes disposed within the housing; a non-thermal plasma generator disposed within the housing; a power supply electrically coupled to the non-thermal plasma generator; and a feed system disposed within the housing, wherein the feed system moves one or more wipes from the supply of wipes past the plasma generator and out of the opening. As the feed system moves the wipes past the plasma generator, the plasma generator applies non-thermal plasma to the wipes.
Portable apparatus for decontamination of a breast
A portable device for the decontamination of a breast. The aim of the device is to reduce the risk of mastitis, even when the patient has a medicament incompatibility. For this purpose, the invention includes a decontamination unit which decontaminates the breast at least by means of a physical method.
FLEXIBLE ACTIVE SPECIES GENERATOR AND USE THEREOF
The disclosure relates to a flexible active species generator comprising: a first electrode of a conductive metal thin film; a second electrode of a ground electrode; a flexible dielectric layer of an insulator formed between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a plasma resistant functional layer formed between the dielectric layer and the second electrode, wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected to an external power supply to generate an atmospheric pressure plasma to generate active species. The flexible active species generator has a plasma resistant function to prevent deformation and decomposition of an insulator caused by the plasma as well as an active species generating function from atmospheric pressure plasma, and has durability and safety, which is thus applicable to articles, foods, garments and human body in various forms.
