A safety device (200) is provided for a movable barrier system ((100). The safety device comprises a position sensor (210) mountable, in use, to or adjacent a barrier (110). A target (220) is mountable to the other of the barrier, such that movement of the barrier causes relative movement between the position sensor and the target. A controller (240) can communicate with the position sensor. The position sensor can detect movement of the target relative to the position sensor and output a signal to the controller. The controller can receive the output signal from the position sensor, determine one or more signal characteristics from the output signal, and compare the one or more determined signal characteristics with one or more predetermined signal characteristics to determine if the relative movement between the target and the position sensor is within a predefined range. A movement detection method is also provided.

DOOR DRIVE DEVICE

A door drive device for adjusting and/or locking a vehicle door relative to a vehicle body including an adjustment member, a drive element operatively coupled to the adjustment member such that the adjustment member is movable with respect to the drive element for moving the vehicle door, a sensor device for measuring a measuring quantity indicative of a movement of the vehicle door to provide a sensor signal, a brake device operatively connected to the drive element for braking a movement of the vehicle door, and a control device for controlling operation of the door drive device. The control device is configured to compute, from the sensor signal obtained from the sensor device, an acceleration value indicative of an acceleration of the vehicle door and evaluate the acceleration value to distinguish movement of the vehicle door caused by a gravity force from movement caused by a user action.

AUTOMATIC DOOR DEVICE AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE

An automatic door device includes a driving motor and a transmission system. An input end of the transmission system is coupled to an output shaft of the driving motor, an output end of the transmission system is coupled to a door shaft, and the transmission system has a transmission link to transmit an output torque of the driving motor to the door shaft. A clutch mechanism is disposed on the transmission link of the transmission system. Accordingly, when the door is subjected to an external force, the transmission link between the door and the driving motor can be automatically disconnected, so that while an automatic door function implemented, it is ensured that a user may not be affected by the resistance brought by the automatic door device when the user opens/closes the door manually, thereby optimizing user experience.

ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
20220149761 · 2022-05-12 ·

A method and an assembly for pivoting a movable component having a drive device with an electric drive motor in order to influence a pivoting of the component between a first setting and a second setting. A position sensor detects a position measure for a setting of the component and a speed parameter for a displacement speed of the component. During a displacement of the component with the speed parameter, an electrical setpoint current intensity for the electric drive motor is ascertained, and an associated setpoint voltage is set. The setpoint voltage is increased if a current intensity flowing through the drive motor is lower than the electrical setpoint current intensity, and the setpoint voltage is reduced if the current intensity flowing through the drive motor is higher than the electrical setpoint current intensity.
