LADDER STABILIZATION DEVICE
An embodiment provides a method including: attaching a ladder connector portion of a ladder stabilization device to a beam of a ladder, comprising wrapping a ladder tether portion of the ladder connector portion around the beam of the ladder to create at least one loop around the beam and connecting a ladder quick disconnect mechanism to a ladder holding mechanism located within the ladder connector portion; attaching an object connector portion of the ladder stabilization device to a portion of the object, comprising securing an object tether portion of the object connector portion to the portion of the object using an object quick disconnect mechanism; and adjusting a length of the ladder stabilization device to a length to remove slack of the ladder stabilization device between the beam and the portion of the object using an adjustment mechanism.
CARRIER, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A carrier comprises a frame coupleable with a ladder in a first position and a second position, and a harness that one can wear to hold the frame to himself/herself. In the first position, the frame supports the ladder when one carries the frame. In the second position, the frame and ladder, together, support one when one sits on the frame. The carrier's frame includes a first member that holds the ladder when the frame is in the first position, and a second member that supports a person sitting on the frame when the frame is in the second position. With the ability to position the carrier's frame in a first position and a second position, one can use the carrier to carry a ladder to and from where one will be working without having to use one or both of one's hands. This allows one to use both hands and/or arms to carry one's tools and supplies to where one will be working. Then, later in the day, one can use the same carrier to sit on while taking a break.
Cable trap system and method
A safety apparatus for coupling with a ladder and methods for manufacturing and using same. The safety apparatus includes an engagement member defining an engagement member recess for receiving a selected structure and a retention member rotatable relative to the engagement member such that the retention member extends distally from the engagement member in an open position and extends proximally to the engagement member in a closed position. The retention member transitions from the open position to the closed position for enclosing the selected structure within the engagement member recess when weight is applied to the ladder and transitions from the closed position to the open position for releasing the selected structure when the weight is removed from the ladder. The ladder advantageously can inhibit unexpectedly detachment from the selected structure during use and does not require manual disengagement of the selected structure after use is complete.
CABLE TRAP SYSTEM AND METHOD
A safety apparatus for coupling with a ladder and methods for manufacturing and using same. The safety apparatus includes a first engagement member for coupling with a first rail of a ladder and defining a first engagement member recess and a second engagement member for coupling with a second rail of the ladder and defining a second engagement member recess. A third engagement member can couple with the first and second rails and be rotatable between a first position for engaging a first support structure and a second position for at least partially enclosing a second support structure within the first and second engagement member recesses. The safety apparatus advantageously can alternatively engage horizontal support structures or vertical support structures to prevent falls.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR WALL SURFACE SUCTION-TYPE TRAVEL DEVICE
A safety device for a wall surface suction-type travel device that is configured to travel on a wall surface while being suctioned on the wall surface includes an extending member, a support base, and a safety rope. The extending member is configured to be disposed on the wall surface and bendable by self weight. The support base supports the extending member so as to allow the extending member to move in a direction along which the extending member extends. The safety rope connects the extending member with the wall surface suction-type travel device.
ROOF EDGE LADDER GUARD
A ladder safety device configured to be secured to the edge of roof to prevent a ladder leaned against it from sliding sideways or falling away from the roof edge . The ladder safety device comprises a generally flat, planar inner body portion comprising a first inner horizontal rail and vertical rails spaced from one another to define a plurality of large hand-grip openings between them. The ladder safety device further includes an outer body portion comprising a second horizontal rail spaced vertically from the first horizontal rail and connected thereto by outer portions of the vertical rails. Fastener holes formed along inner ends of the vertical rails can be used to secure the device to a roof, and projecting outer fingers define a ladder recess on an outer edge of the outer body portion. The ladder safety device is installed with the outer horizontal rail and portions of the vertical rails and the hand-grip openings spaced outwardly from the roof edge to provide a hand grip.
LADDER STAND AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
A ladder stand includes a ladder, a platform, an optional seat, a tree engagement bracket, straps and strap diverter guides. The straps can be crisscrossed around the rear of the tree and extend forwardly to respective strap diverter guides. These guides can redirect the straps from a generally acute angle relative to the ladder to an orientation substantially parallel to the ladder, with the lower portions of the straps extending downwardly along the ladder. One or more tensioners can provide tension in the straps, thereby pulling the bracket into the tree under significant force to provide safe and stable securement of the ladder stand to the tree. The strap tensioning can be accomplished by a user on the ground, without ever having to climb the ladder or secure any additional straps to the tree. A related method of use is provided.
Ladder securing device
A ladder securing device provides a means to safely secure a ladder to an edge of a building structure while performing such activities as painting, construction, roofing projects, and the like. The device includes a ladder hooking portion, a turnbuckle, and a clamping assembly. The portions of the device are affixed to each other to form a length-adjustable assembly. It is envisioned that a pair of the devices would typically be utilized to hook onto opposing side rails of the ladder and to adjacent edge features of the building, and then tightened down using the turnbuckles.
STANDING SEAM MOUNTING BRACKETS
A standing seam mounting bracket and a method of using two or three to provide attachment points along a standing seam roof is provided. The standing seam mounting brackets enable complementary use of commonly-owned equipment for enabling roof maintenance and construction. The standing seam mounting brackets may be used in concert with roof jacks, roof ladders, scaffolding members and the like that are commonly owned by most contractors so as to facilitate safe and easy horizontal and vertical movement along the sloped roof.
Ladder safety device
A ladder safety device (2) for removably securing a ladder (40) to a parapet wall (36) of a rooftop (38), including: a pair of support clamps (4) securable to the parapet wall (36), each said support clamp (4) including a first support member (10), a second support member (12), and an extended arm (14) joining said first support member (10) to said second support member (12), wherein a distance between said support members (10, 12) defines a width adjustable to the width of the parapet wall (36); an elongate plate (6) connecting said pair of support clamps (4) to each other; and at least one ladder hook (8) extending from said elongate plate (6) for securely receiving a rung of the ladder (40).
