Climbing stick system

A climbing stick system includes the first climbing stick and a second climbing stick. The first climbing stick includes a first step support having a cavity and a mouth leading to the cavity and first steps coupled to the first step support. The second climbing stick includes a second step support, second steps coupled to the second step support and a locking member having a head. One of the mouth and the locking member is rotatable between a locked position in which the head is locked within the cavity to retain the first climbing stick with respect to the second climbing stick and an unlocked position to facilitate separation of the first climbing stick and the second climbing stick.

ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED IN A DEVICE HAVING A HOOK FOR ANCHORING A LADDER TO CABLES
20190136622 · 2019-05-09 ·

The present patent application belongs to the field of workplace safety equipment and proposes an improvement to a device provided with a hook for anchoring a ladder to cables. The ladder is formed by a main structure (1) having in the center thereof an articulated hook (2). The main structure (1) comprises an extensible shaft in the upper portion thereof, allowing it to be coupled between two steps of a service ladder. In order to overcome drawbacks, a rope holder (8) has been developed, which is arranged in the lower portion of the main structure and locks the rope tying the hook (2), preventing the hook (2) from turning upside down or from opening. The rope holder also has two lateral toroidal locks (18) coupled to the step (20) of the ladder, each on one side of the main structure (1), preventing the main structure from shifting

Slip-resistant support base and method of making

A slip-resistant support base and method of making and using such a support base. A slip-resistant support base may include a resilient pad having an exposed lower expanse opposite an upper pad surface, the lower expanse being characterized by a two-dimensional distribution of downwardly open concave recesses having rims forming a lower extremity of the support base. The lower expanse may be made by shearing off a layer of a first major face of a pad of resilient closed cell foam to expose an expanse of cut cells. In some examples, the support base includes a body and the resilient pad as a resilient substrate. The body is preferably configured to support an external object positioned on a body upper surface. The resilient substrate is preferably attached to and extends along at least a portion of a body lower surface. The resilient substrate lower expanse is opposite the body lower surface.

Ladder modules are provided in manageable length sections. The first section is secured at the top with a multi-hole horizontal mounting bar that is secured by a ratchet strap with hooks. The bottom of the first section rests firmly on the ground with a cleat at the bottom to secure the ladder section and prevent shifting. The second section contains a ball on the bottom of the structure that is mounted onto the first section by placing the ball into the receiving end of the first section, which allows the second section to pivot 360 degrees and lean and tilt fore and aft. This section is also secured to the tree with a ratchet strap and hooks, and is safe to climb to the next section after tightening the ratchet strap. Additional sections can be added in the same manner as the second section to pivot and level as needed.

CABLE TRAP SYSTEM AND METHOD

A safety apparatus for coupling with a ladder and methods for manufacturing and using same. The safety apparatus includes an engagement member defining an engagement member recess for receiving a selected structure and a retention member rotatable relative to the engagement member such that the retention member extends distally from the engagement member in an open position and extends proximally to the engagement member in a closed position. The retention member transitions from the open position to the closed position for enclosing the selected structure within the engagement member recess when weight is applied to the ladder and transitions from the closed position to the open position for releasing the selected structure when the weight is removed from the ladder. The ladder advantageously can inhibit unexpectedly detachment from the selected structure during use and does not require manual disengagement of the selected structure after use is complete.
