STATIC ANNULAR SEALING SYSTEMS AND INTEGRATED MANAGED PRESSURE DRILLING RISER JOINTS FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
A harsh environment integrated MPD riser joint includes a dynamic annular sealing system, a static annular sealing system disposed directly below the dynamic annular sealing system, and a flow spool, or equivalent thereof, disposed directly below the static annular sealing system. The dynamic annular sealing system may be a conventional ACD-type, RCD-type, or other conventional annular sealing system. The static annular sealing system may include one or more annular packer systems and one or more connection sealing elements that engage drill pipe during connection or non-rotation operations only. The dynamic annular sealing system may maintain annular pressure during drilling operations while the static annular sealing system is disengaged. The static annular sealing system may maintain annular pressure during connection operations while the dynamic annular sealing system is disengaged. Advantageously, the static annular sealing system is capable of withstanding jarring heaving action encountered in harsh environments.
Method and apparatus for measuring wear on sucker rod guides
A method and apparatus is shown for measuring diameter of sucker rods during reworking of an oil well. Diameters are compared to known data tables to determine if a sucker rod should be replaced. If undue wear has occurred to the guides, the sucker rod will be replaced. If wear is excessive, additions guides will be added to the replacement sucker rod.

Smart cementing wiper plug
A method and system for completing cementing operations in a subterranean well with a wiper plug assembly includes delivering the wiper plug assembly into a casing, the wiper plug assembly having a wiper plug body with a circular cross section and a resilient wiper element that engages an inner diameter of the casing string. An inclination of the wiper plug assembly is measured in three dimensions with an accelerometer assembly and an azimuth of the wiper plug assembly is measured in three dimensions with a magnetometer. The inclination and the azimuth of the wiper plug assembly are delivered to a control unit in real time. An inclination of the wiper plug assembly is determined in real time. The inclination of the wiper plug assembly is delivered to an earth's surface in real time with a transmitter of the electronics package.
SEAL ELEMENTS FOR ANNULAR CONTROL DEVICES
A seal element for an annular control device includes an elastomer seal sleeve having an annular opening therein and arranged to be radially compressed to contact an exterior of a pipe disposed within the elastomer seal element. The elastomer seal sleeve comprises at least one of a wear resistant material disposed on an interior surface of the annular opening and a lubricant channel on the interior surface.

MUD BUCKET WITH INTEGRAL FLUID STORAGE
A system including a mud bucket with a clam shell enclosure and a storage tank. The clam shell enclosure can have a first portion and a second portion, with the second portion being rotationally coupled to the first portion, where the first portion and the second portion are configured to form a sealed chamber around a joint of a tubular string when the second portion is rotated into engagement with the first portion, where the sealed chamber is configured to receive expelled fluid from the tubular string when the joint is unthreaded, and the storage tank is configured to receive and store the expelled fluid from the sealed chamber while the mud bucket is located at the well center.

MPD-capable flow spools
This disclosure includes flow spool riser segment assemblies that are suitable for managed pressure drilling (MPD) and that can be lowered (e.g., when connected to other riser segment assemblies) through a rotary of a drilling rig. Some embodiments are configured to have portions of the flow spool connected (e.g., without welding) below the rotary.
Wireline sealing assembly
A wireline sealing assembly adapted to seal a line such as wireline or slickline deployed in an oil or gas well has a body to receive a line and a seal adapted to be actuated into sealing engagement with the line to contain wellbore pressure within the well below the actuated seal. The seal comprises first and second seal members, each seal member comprising at least one sealing element, wherein the first and second seal members are formed of different materials. The second seal member may have a greater hardness rating or lower degree of resilience that the first seal member. The first and second seal members may radially deform against the line when the seal is actuated, and the first seal member may radially deform more than the second seal member. The seal may also comprise a third seal member comprising at least one sealing element, wherein the third seal member is formed of a different material to the first and second seal members.
