Rotating control device for jackup rigs
A rotating control device includes a bowl housing with an inner aperture to receive a seal and bearing assembly. A plurality of hydraulically-actuated fail-last-position latching assemblies are disposed about an outer surface of the bowl housing to controllably extend a plurality of piston-driven dogs radially into a groove of the seal and bearing assembly. The seal and bearing assembly includes a housing, a mandrel disposed within an inner aperture of the housing, a first interference-fit sealing element attached to a bottom distal end of the mandrel, a plurality of tapered-thrust bearings indirectly mounted to the housing, a preload spacer disposed between top and bottom tapered-thrust bearings, a plurality of jam nuts to adjust a preload of the tapered-thrust bearings, and a lower seal carrier attached to the seal and bearing housing comprising a plurality of dynamic sealing elements that contact the mandrel.
Fluid discharge suppressor
A fluid discharge suppressor can include a body having one or more internal spaces, a first cap adapted to be coupled to the body, a second cap adapted to be coupled to the first cap, and one or more ports for allowing fluid flow out of the body. A suppressor can be adapted for allowing a wireline to pass therethrough and one or more caps can be adapted to hold a packing element. A suppressor can include one or more fluid deflectors for biasing fluid flow toward one or more ports. A suppressor can be adapted to couple with a pack-off or other well equipment for suppressing fluid discharge therefrom.
ROTATING DIVERTER HEAD WITH REMOTE CONTROLLED CLAMPING SYSTEM
A rotating control device is disclosed for the use of oil, gas or geothermal wells. While providing for sealing with or without rotation of the drill pipe, the device consists of a housing with guide rails attached beneath the two part dual actuated clamp that can be locked in place by remote controlled retention pins. The design has a novel adapter design enabling a common RCD bearing assembly to be installed in a variety of different housing sizes.
Permeable and decomposable plug forming rapidly dehydrating fluid (RDF)
A rapidly dehydrating fluid (RDF) composition that forms a permeable and decomposable plug and methods of lost circulation control and manufacture of the RDF composition. The RDF composition may include a carrier fluid such as water, a cellulosic microfiber viscosifier, date tree seed particles, and fibers formed from date tree waste such as date tree trunks. The RDF composition may mitigate or prevent lost circulation by forming a decomposable plug in a fracture of the lost circulation zone and may also enable the production of hydrocarbons from the zone without removal of the plug.
Milling system for abandoning a wellbore
A mill for use in a wellbore includes a tubular housing having a bore therethrough and a plurality of eccentrically arranged pockets formed in a wall thereof and an arm disposed in each pocket. Each arm has a body portion and a blade portion extending from an outer surface of the body portion and is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The mill further includes cutters disposed along each blade portion and a block disposed in each pocket and connected to the housing. Each block has a guide engaged with a mating guide of the respective body portion and an inner passage for providing fluid communication between the housing bore and the respective pocket. The mill further includes an actuator for extending the arms.

Mechanical rotating control device latch assembly
A remotely and mechanically actuated RCD control tool adjusts at least one component of an RCD latch assembly between at least two settings. The mechanical RCD control tool comprises a rotational cylinder and a guide cylinder, the rotational cylinder configured to rotate in a rotational direction to adjust the RCD latch assembly from a first setting to a second setting and from the second setting to the first setting based on movement of the drive cylinder in a selected direction. Additional apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed.
Locking Clamp for a Rotating Control Device
A clamp assembly device for connecting a rotating control device bearing assembly to a main body of a rotating control device. The device includes clamp members configured to retain the bearing assembly in place on the main body, a clamp actuator for driving clamping and unclamping of the clamp members and a lock pin controlled by a lock pin actuator. The lock pin actuator is configured to lock and unlock the clamp assembly device by moving the pin between locked and unlocked positions along an axis substantially parallel with the axis of rotation of the bearing assembly.
Smart rotating control device apparatus and system
A rotating control device (RCD) includes a housing configured to make a connection above a wellbore and an assembly that mates to the housing. The assembly also includes a sealing element to make a seal to a drill string and to rotate with the drill string. One or more sensors are configured to monitor conditions during operation of the RCD. The one or more sensors include one or more erosion sensors to detect erosion of the sealing element. The one or more erosion sensors are also configured to identify amounts of erosion of the sealing element.
