Bridge Support System
20210363710 · 2021-11-25 ·

A multicomponent bridge support system includes: a base portion configured to make contact with bearing soil/strata/bedrock; a support portion configured to engage a bridge deck; and one or more precast intermediate portions configured to space the support portion with respect to the base portion.

MODULE FOR A STRUCTURE
20220002954 · 2022-01-06 ·

A construction module for a structure, comprising: a formwork member that includes a base, a pair of parallel side walls that extend upwardly from the base, and a pair of parallel end walls. The base, the side walls and the end walls define a cavity for reinforcement and concrete. A reinforcement member includes an upper portion and a lower portion. When the reinforcement member is located in the cavity and concrete fills the cavity, the lower portion of the reinforcement member and the concrete define an elongate beam.

Prefabricated concrete pier top form
11795709 · 2023-10-24 ·

A single-use or multi-use prefabricated pier top form for topping a concrete pier comprises a hollow mold with an upper portion in the desired shape of the finished pier top, a stepped-down tapered mid portion, and a lower mating portion for mating with the pier form so that concrete can be continuously poured to fill both the pier form and the pier top form at one time. Use of the prefabricated pier top form results in substantial time and material savings because the top of the pier residing above ground can be formed at the same time as the footer and pier are formed replacing the need to form a separate pier top after the pier and footer have been filled with concrete.

REINFORCEMENT AND BEARING CAPACITY CALCULATION METHOD FOR SELF-STRESSED BRIDGE DECK LINK SLAB

A reinforcement and bearing capacity calculation method for a self-stressed bridge deck link slab includes: calculating a cross-section moment of inertia of the link slab and a negative moment borne by the link slab; introducing a design self-stress according to stress distribution of the self-stressed bridge deck link slab, whether reinforced or un-reinforced; calculating a cracking moment of the plain self-stressed bridge deck link slab, comparing the cracking moment and the negative moment, proceeding to the next step, or configuring a structural reinforcement as needed; determining a design strength of reinforcement, selecting a reinforcement ratio, and calculating a resisting moment of the link slab; comparing the resisting moment and the negative moment of the link slab, design conditions are satisfied, or configuring the reinforcement ratio and carrying out iterative calculation to obtain a resisting moment; and analyzing stress on the reinforcement and concrete.

Formwork system and method

A formwork system, including a plurality of side formwork elements configured to confront a concrete structure, a horizontal formwork panel configured to support the concrete structure, and at least one working platform, wherein the system is configured to be split in a longitudinal direction and stricken or cycled from the concrete structure in two discrete parts.

Modular orthotropic steel bridge deck
11401667 · 2022-08-02 ·

A new modular orthotropic steel bridge deck, and its manufacturing method, which introduces the design standardization of the orthotropic steel bridge deck designs, thereby, leading to cost-effective solutions by avoiding the complexities and costly details that are unnecessary for orthotropic steel bridge deck and short span bridge applications.

Precast column base joint and construction method therefor

The joint has a prefabricated-reinforced-concrete column, a reinforced-concrete foundation, a column anchoring longitudinal bar, a grouting sleeve and a foundation anchoring steel bar. The foundation anchoring steel bar and the column anchoring longitudinal bar are connected by a seam filling material filling the grouting sleeve. A splicing seam between the reinforced-concrete foundation and the prefabricated-reinforced-concrete column is filled with the seam filling material. The foundation anchoring steel bar includes a vertical portion and a horizontal portion. The vertical portion includes an upper-portion anchoring section protruding out of an upper surface of the reinforced-concrete foundation, a middle-portion non-adhesive section buried within the foundation and a lower-portion anchoring section. An exterior of the middle-portion non-adhesive section is provided with an isolating sheath for isolating the middle-portion non-adhesive section and the concrete adhesion.

Interconnecting slab bolster uppers
11286668 · 2022-03-29 · ·

A plurality of identical slab bolster uppers each include a body with a rebar contact surface separated a height distance from a ground contact surface along a vertical axis. The rebar contact surface extends from a first end to a second end along a horizontal axis. The first end terminates in a planar abutment surface that is one side of a thickness profile, and the second end has a different shape that includes a planar abutment surface, and a snap-fit connector shaped to receive the thickness profile of the first end. Two slab bolster uppers may be moved from a disconnected configuration to a connected configuration exclusively responsive to sliding the planar surfaces along one another while in contact along a vertical axis until the thickness profile of the one slab bolster upper is received in the snap-fit connector on the other slab bolster upper.
