Modular railing baluster system
11434643 · 2022-09-06 ·

A modular railing baluster system includes a mounting device having an upper connector that may connect to an upper railing or other upper support surface and a lower connector that may connect to a lower railing or other lower support surface. The mounting device may include various shapes and may secure various objects within the railing system, such as a picture frame or similar display article, as one example. The system further includes one or more offset balusters that may be arranged in a symmetrical mirrored orientation on opposing sides of the mounting device. The offset middle portion of the offset baluster may maintain even spacing between the offset baluster and the mounting device. The system may further include additional vertical balusters for integration into an existing railing system and customized spacing of multiple mounting devices along the length of the railing system.

Glass panel railing securement
11447956 · 2022-09-20 · ·

A selectively inserted panel securement secures a panel into a balustrade, and a fastener affixes the panel securement into a top rail of the balustrade. The panel securement comprises a base inserted into a recess within the bottom of the top rail, a riser affixed on one end to the base and having a contact surface adjacent to a panel side edge that restricts panel movement in a first axial direction; and a panel retaining member extending perpendicularly from the riser on a second end distal to the base. The panel retaining member is inserted into a top railing channel and restricts panel movement in a second axial direction. A notch in the base secures the panel in a third axial direction, thereby preventing movement of the panel in three orthogonal axes. The fastener fastens the selectively inserted panel securement to the top rail within the channel.

Baluster connector apparatus and method

A removably locking baluster system in a balustrade in which a pair of connector bases mount to facing balustrade surfaces. Each base has a wall extending therefrom defining an inner wall surface and an inwardly tapered outer wall surface. An end of the baluster closely and removably fits within the base wall without necessitating removal of the bases from the balustrade. A pair of covers are provided that are slidable along the baluster, each having a tubular member with an opening configured to fit around the baluster and another opening configured to closely fit around the base. An internal wall of each cover is configured to closely abut the outer base wall surface and has a complementary taper to the outer base wall surface to urge the base wall against the baluster end to provide frictional engagement between the inner base wall surface and the baluster.

Vertical cable railing assembly

A railing system is provided that illustratively includes a first rail and a second rail where the first rail is spaced-apart from the second rail. At least one cable that extends between the spaced-apart first and second rails. The at least one cable includes a stop sleeve disposed about the cable and positioned adjacent an end of the at least one cable. A cable tensioner having a body, a bore disposed through the body, and a stop surface is located adjacent an opening in the cable tensioner. An adapter that includes a body and a bore that extends into the body. The body of the adapter forms a surface located in contact with an underside surface of the top panel of the second rail between the first and second sidewalls of the second rail.

WOOD POST BRACKET

A wood post bracket used for securing a wood post to a rim joist and a reinforcing block directly linking to a substructure of a deck's wood framing system includes a planar base having a first end and a second end, a first flange extending from the first end of the planar base in a perpendicular orientation relative to the planar base, a second flange extending from the second end of the planar base in a perpendicular orientation relative to the planar base, and a hollow sleeve extending from the planar base in a perpendicular orientation relative to the planar base, wherein the hollow sleeve is positioned between the first end of the planar base and the second end of the planar base. The bracket comprises a direct link tying the top of the post to the deck sub structure, allowing for quick, easy, and secure, code-compliant post installation.

CABLE RAILING WITH TENSIONING DEVICE

A railing system is provided. The railing system can include a panel coupled to a post or wall with a tensioning device. The panel can include one continuous strand of cable threaded through, back and forth, two loom members. The loom members can be designed or configured to organize the cable so that the distance between each strand does not exceed spacing requirements in the building codes for railing balusters.

Snap fit posts for fence panels balustrades and the like

A post for a fit together panel comprising at least one said post and at least one slat, the post comprising a base member and a cover member, the cover member comprising a pair of sidewalls and an interconnecting end wall, the interconnecting end wall containing a plurality of openings through which the end of a slat can pass, the sidewalls adapted for extension over the channel member, the base member comprising a base wall and opposed sidewalls, at least one sidewall comprising a clamping leg adapted for clamping engagement against the end of a said slat passing through a said opening in the cover member, and snap fitting means on the channel member and/or the cover member to enable the channel member and the cover member to be snap fitted together.

Railing system

A railing system comprising positioning systems is provided. The railing system includes one or more rails and one or more posts. When the rails and the posts are connected, the positioning systems limit the movement of the posts relative to the rails. The positioning system may include a projection on the rail and a recess on the post, and the projection and the recess cooperate such that the movement of the post relative to the rail is limited.

Railing assembly

The present disclosure provides for a railing assembly further comprised of a top and bottom rail separated by balusters. The balusters are connected to one another by means of spacers, which are in turn connected to both the top and bottom rails by means of a snap-fit connection. A method of assembly of the rail assembly is also disclosed, comprised of snap-fitting the spacers to the top and bottom rails and installing the balusters in between pairs of adjacent spacers, and repeating this process for a given length of the top and bottom rails.
