20170335585 · 2017-11-23 · ·

The present invention is a modular pool skimmer faceplate cover with a pre-wired integrated underwater light. The faceplate cover of the present invention clips onto a faceplate of any pool skimmer inside a swimming pool. The faceplate cover is provided with a cavity below the faceplate cover's mouth that accommodates a light source element, and this light source element connects to a low-voltage power supply. The light source element can be a LED, and be located below or around the faceplate cover's mouth.

Water conservation device for a swimming pool skimmer
09822540 · 2017-11-21 ·

A water conservation device is disclosed. The water conservation device includes a membrane and an uninterrupted flange comprising a cross sectional cylindrical shape that is attached to an entire outer edge of the membrane. The membrane is configured to completely cover a top of a swimming pool skimmer access opening and further configured to accept an access lid of the swimming pool skimmer opening over the membrane wherein the access lid holds the water conservation device in place when the access lid is attached to the access opening by which the membrane acts to prevent water from expelling from the access lid.

Modified Pool Skimmer
20220049515 · 2022-02-17 ·

An improved skimmer system is disclosed, as well as method of use and manufacture. The skimmer system comprises a base-basket and a moving section, where the moving section has two or more louvres defined therein. During use, the base-basket will likely remain stationary, but the moving section will float-travel along a vertical axis defined by the louvres. The skimmer system enables effective skimming regardless of potential changes in level of the pool water. The louvres within the moving section correspond with a plurality of slots within the base-basket. During installation of the system, a user would first position the base-basket within the bottom of any (existing) circular opening which normally houses a pool skimmer. Then, the user takes the movable section and loads it in on top of the base-basket.

A flow diverting weir device includes a mounting member engageable with surface(s) of a skimmer opening of a swimming pool skimmer and an elongated arm having one end thereof connected to the mounting member and extendable outwardly from the skimmer opening. The mounting member may be integrated into the surface(s) of the skimmer opening. The mounting member may include suction cup(s).

Water bonding device and methods of use
09761990 · 2017-09-12 ·

Embodiments include a water bonding device for electrically grounding a swimming pool. One embodiment includes a bonding electrode installed in a pool skimmer or pump strainer. The bonding electrode typically resides in a skimmer or strainer cavity, and a ground conductor coupled directly to the electrode extends out of the skimmer or strainer through a port. A plug assembly forms a water tight seal against the port and the ground conductor, providing a water tight access point for the ground conductor to enter the pool skimmer or pump strainer. The ground conductor is typically electrically connected to both the bonding electrode and a ground pole residing at ground potential.

Method for filtering water in a basin, filtration unit for implementing said method and centrifugal hydraulic pump associated with said filtration unit
11199015 · 2021-12-14 · ·

The present invention relates to a filtration unit for filtering the water in a pool or basin, in particular a swimming pool, said unit being mounted behind a wall of said pool, and communicating with said pool via a suction intake (3, 6) and via a delivery orifice to generate a forced flow of water from and back into the pool through a filtration tank and through a suction column by means of centrifugal hydraulic pump. The centrifugal hydraulic pump has an electric motor coupled to a centrifugal turbine housed in a pump body. The electric motor is a sealed, brushless, autonomously controlled motor that is powered at very low voltage and that may advantageously be immersed inside the filtration unit below the level of the water contained in said pool, thereby enabling said motor to be cooled and sound-proofed naturally by the forced flow of the water from the pool, thereby forming a filtration unit and a pool that have low energy consumption.

Threaded attachment system for wall-mounted pool skimmer

The present disclosure is directed towards skimmer systems for above-ground pools. In particular, the present disclosure relates to skimmer systems that are easily installed to the side wall of an above-ground pool. In addition, aspects of the present disclosure relate to a skimmer system for an above-ground pool that provides for an improved watertight seal between the skimmer system and the side wall of the pool. Further, aspects of the present disclosure relate to a weir that is easily installed into and removed from a skimmer system according to a user's needs.
