A fence rail device includes a rail elongated between a first end and a second end. The rail has an outer wall having a top section, a pair of side sections, and a bottom section defining a hollow interior. A slot extends through the bottom section to define a pair of lateral bottom edges. A top cross wall is spaced from the top section of the outer wall to define an upper interior space and a bottom cross wall is positioned between the top cross wall and the bottom section to define a middle interior space and a lower interior space. Each of a pair of lower walls extends between the bottom section and the bottom cross wall proximate to a respective one of the side sections. Each of a pair of medial walls extends between the bottom cross wall and the top cross wall.

A fence rail device includes a rail elongated between a first end and a second end. The rail has an outer wall having a top section, a pair of side sections, and a bottom section defining a hollow interior. The slot extends through the bottom section. A plurality of cross walls includes a top cross wall, a middle cross wall, and a bottom cross wall defining a top interior space, a bottom interior space, an upper middle interior space, and a lower middle interior space within the rail. Each of a pair of lower interior walls extends between the bottom section and the bottom cross wall proximate to a respective one of the side sections. Each of a pair of medial interior walls extends between the bottom cross wall and the lower middle cross wall.

A fence rail end support system includes a mounting plate having a plurality of mounting apertures wherein the mounting plate is configured for being attached to a fence post by fasteners extending through the mounting apertures. Each of a pair of support panels extends perpendicularly from the mounting plate wherein an end of a fence rail is positionable between the pair of support panels. Each of a plurality of connection slots extends through the pair of support panels to receive a connector to secure an associated one of the pair of support panels to the fence rail.

A panel for a fence includes elongated rail members and a post formed from first and second post members each of which has slots at spaced locations along the respective post member. The post members are interconnected in a post-forming condition in which the slots of one post member are aligned with those of the other so as to cooperate to form enclosed receptacles for carrying the rail members. The slots are generally semi-cordate shaped, and the slots of each post member have opposite orientation to the other, so as to enhance clamping of the rail member between the post members. There is also disclosed a method for forming such a panel for a fence.

The invention includes a fence post brace member adapted to connect to one or more sides of a fence post and a fence rail brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a fence rail. The fence post brace member may form a vertical picket fastener slot for use in affixing a picket to the fence post. The fence post brace system may be adapted for use with alternative fence post arrangements such as those having a fence rail positioned above and supported by the fence post and those defining a single channel for receiving a fence rail.

The present invention comprises a brace adapted to secure one or more fence rails to a fence post. The present invention brace may optionally be installed onto an existing fence or on a new fence. The invention includes a first fence rail brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a first fence rail, a second fence rail brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a second fence rail, and a fence post member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a fence post. The fence post brace member may form a picket fastener slot for use in affixing a picket to the fence post. The fence post brace system may be adapted for use with cylindrical fence posts or rectangular fence posts.

A railing assembly may include a first railing portion including a first channel and a second channel. The railing assembly may include a first retaining element disposed at least partially in the first channel. A second retaining element may be disposed at least partially in the second channel. A baluster may be disposed at least partially in the first railing portion. The first retaining element and the second retaining element may be configured to retain the baluster relative to the first railing portion. The railing assembly may include a second railing portion, and the baluster may be disposed at least partially in the second railing portion.

A modular privacy fence, which includes a stringer having two rails, wherein at least the first rail comprises a plurality of fence picket dividers that protrude in a perpendicular direction from the first rail. The modular privacy fence also includes a fastener attached to the end of the stringer, wherein the fastener is arranged to secure the stringer to a fence post, and a bottom rail with a trough. In some embodiments, the second rail may also include a separate plurality of fence picket dividers that protrude from the second rail in a direction perpendicular to the second rail and parallel to the first plurality of fence picket dividers. In such arrangements, the first plurality of fence picket dividers is offset from the second plurality of fence picket dividers in a direction parallel to the first rail.
