An opening/closing body opening/closing device includes: an opening/closing body; a closing mechanism; an opening/driving body driving section; a control section; and a position detection section. The closing mechanism includes an engaging portion, an engaged portion, a closing mechanism-side driving section, and an interaction detection section. The control section causes the closing mechanism-side driving section to perform closing driving and, after the closing driving, sets the engaging part to an open state so as to allow the closing mechanism to lock the opening/closing body through engagement between the engaging portion and the engaged portion when a positional difference between a current position and an engageable position of the opening/closing body is outside a predetermined range. Use of the opening/closing body opening/closing device makes a zero position of the opening/closing body settable in an originally supposed position even when the closing mechanism operates while the opening/closing body is in an improper position.

Structure for Operating Striker Capable of Being Fastened to Door Latch Part

An embodiment structure includes a housing configured to be mounted on a door of a vehicle, a casing configured to be movable in the housing, a striker mounted at one side of the casing and configured to be fixed by being caught by a latch part or released, a casing guide unit connected to the casing and configured to guide a forward movement of the casing, an elastic force providing unit configured to apply elastic force in a rearward direction of the casing, and an operating unit configured to move the casing guide unit forward or rearward.

An illustrative embodiment includes a latch rotatably mounted on a support bracket and including first and second flanges that define therebetween a notch configured to receive a striker bar. The latch is rotatable into a closed position with the striker bar received in the notch responsive to the first flange being moved against the striker bar. A pawl having an inner edge and a cam edge is rotatably mounted on the support bracket. An outer side of the first flange is configured to engage the inner edge to hold the pawl in an unlocked position responsive to the latch being in an open position. The pawl is configured to rotate and the cam edge is configured to move against the first side of the first flange to hold the latch in the closed position responsive to the latch rotating past the inner edge of the pawl.

MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK

A motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, which is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting of a rotary latch and at least one pawl. An actuating lever mounted in a lock case for rotation about an axis is also provided. The pawl is mounted on the actuating lever for rotation about an axis. According to the invention, the rotary latch applies a closing moment on the pawl when the locking mechanism is in the closed state, which moment transitions into an opening moment on the pawl when the locking mechanism is opened as a result of the associated movement of the actuating lever and the shifting of the axis for the pawl.

DOUBLE PULL LATCHING SYSTEM FOR FRONT TRUNK OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
20220162887 · 2022-05-26 ·

A latch system includes a double pull latch, where a fully open state is achieved following two release actuations. A coupling assembly is disposed on an actuation cable between a release mechanism and the latch. The coupling assembly is in the form of a switch that blocks or allows a pull on the actuation cable to pass to the latch depending on a predetermined condition of the vehicle. The switch may include a connecting lever that is moveable into and out of coupling engagement between first and second portions of the actuation cable. The connecting lever may de-couple the cable portions only after a first actuation is complete, thereby allowing a partial opening of the trunk but preventing a fully opening if the predetermined condition is satisfied, such as exceeded a threshold vehicle speed.
