Seat and Cover system with Medical Units
Aspects of the present invention provide a method for using an apparatus to deliver medicine and to wash, clean, and dry a region of a human body. The apparatus include a toilet seat assembly and a medicine delivery assembly. In addition, the apparatus may include a drying nozzle assembly and/or a spraying nozzle assembly. The medicine delivery assembly may include one or more medicine storage cartridges and/or one or more medicine base units, each medicine base unit includes at least a cartridge unit and at least a cartridges slot, wherein the cartridge slot is adapted to match with a medicine storage cartridge. The medicine delivery assembly may include a medicine delivery nozzle, which can be coupled to a spraying nozzle assembly, or may be operated by itself with a medicine delivery nozzle. Finally, the medicine delivery assembly can be controlled by one or more control units.
Medicine Delivery, Wash, Clean and Air Dry System
Aspects of the present invention provide a method and a remote-controlled system for delivering and applying water, medicines, cleaning solutions to a region of the body that may not otherwise be easily accessible (e.g., to the perianal region). The system is designed to enable the users to relax and enjoy on a bidet seat system that can apply water, medicines, cleaning solutions at a desirable angle that they can control, while the user is in a relatively comfortable and efficacious position for the treatment. The apparatus include a toilet seat assembly, a drying nozzle assembly, a spraying nozzle assembly, and a medicine delivery assembly. A method and apparatus is provided for using and delivering medicine, washing, cleaning, and drying a region of a human body.
An Anal Irrigation System
An anal irrigation system including a control unit (2) is provided. The control unit (2) is connected to an external tube (4) by an extension cord (9), so that pivoting of the control unit (2) with respect to the external tube (4) is possible.
SPOOL VALVE FOR BODY CAVITY IRRIGATION DEVICES
A spool valve for use in a hydraulic control circuit of a trans-anal irrigation device, with the spool valve including a valve body having an elongated bore and a plurality of ports spaced apart along and in fluid communication with the bore, and a spool that is movable within the bore. An actuator moves the spool relative to the bore to provide a hydraulic control circuit that directs fluid in a tubing set to provide at least fluid communication alternatively between a reservoir and a retention balloon, between and the reservoir and a main passage through a catheter, and between the retention balloon and the reservoir.
WOUND THERAPY SYSTEM WITH WOUND VOLUME ESTIMATION
A wound therapy system includes a negative pressure circuit configured to apply negative pressure to a wound, a pump fluidly coupled to the negative pressure circuit and operable to control the negative pressure within the negative pressure circuit, a pressure sensor configured to measure the negative pressure within the negative pressure circuit or at the wound and a controller communicably coupled to the pump and the pressure sensor. The controller is configured to execute a pressure testing procedure including applying a pressure stimulus to the negative pressure circuit, observe a dynamic pressure response of the negative pressure circuit to the pressure stimulus using pressure measurements recorded by the pressure sensor, and estimate a wound volume of the wound based on the dynamic pressure response.
System, Apparatus and Method for Maintaining Anterior Chamber Intraoperative Intraocular Pressure
A system for detecting intraocular pressure events during phacoemulsification surgery having a surgical console, a handpiece having a proximal end being communicatively connected to an irrigation line and an aspiration line; a first sensor in communication with the aspiration line or the irrigation line for providing a first measurement value; and a second sensor in communication with the aspiration line for providing a second measurement value; and wherein at least one characteristic of the irrigation fluid or aspiration fluid in their respective lines is changed in accordance with the difference between the first measurement value and the second measurement value. A system for calibrating patient eye level and wound leakage; detecting occlusion or post occlusion surge; determining BSS usage or remaining in a container; and detecting a fluid line abnormality using a first sensor and a second sensor in different configurations and differences in first and second measurement values.
DEVICE FOR TREATING BLEEDING
A system for treating internal bleeding via application of a heated irrigant, such that the heated irrigant is delivered at a flow rate of between 2 cc/s and 12 cc/s and at a temperature of between 46 degrees Celsius and 52 degrees Celsius.
System and method for providing pressurized infusion
The present invention relates generally to providing pressurized infusion of liquids and, more particularly, is directed to providing a stable and pressurized flow of irrigation fluid to the eye during surgery.
REDUCING IRRIGATION/ASPIRATION VALVE RESPONSE TIME IN A PHACOEMULSIFICATION SYSTEM
A phacoemulsification apparatus includes a phacoemulsification probe, an electromechanical valve, and an electromechanical mechanism. The probe having a fluid channel for exchanging fluid with a patient's eye. The electromechanical valve is coupled with the fluid channel and is configured to regulate a fluid flow through the fluid channel. The valve including a cylinder, a piston inside the cylinder, wherein the piston divides the cylinder into a first cavity that is in fluid communication with the fluid channel, and a second cavity, and one or more fluid communication links, which are formed between the first and second cavities. The piston is configured to move inside the cylinder to regulate the flow of the fluid, and the one or more fluid communication links are configured to allow the fluid to flow between the first and second cavities during motion of the piston. The electromechanical mechanism is configured to move the piston.
PROXIMAL BYPASS CHANNEL
In one embodiment, a phacoemulsification system includes a phacoemulsification probe including a distal end including a needle, an irrigation channel to convey irrigation fluid to the distal end, an aspiration channel to convey eye fluid and waste matter away from the distal end, wherein the aspiration channel includes a first and second section, a valve including an inlet and outlet port, the first section of the aspiration channel being coupled with the inlet port and the distal end, the second section of the aspiration channel being coupled with the outlet port, the valve being configured to selectively control fluid connectivity in the aspiration channel between the inlet port and the outlet port, and a bypass channel coupled with the irrigation channel and the second section of the aspiration channel to allow a portion of the irrigation fluid in the irrigation channel to enter the second section of the aspiration channel.
