A hydrotherapy device for treating a wound on a surface of a body comprising a body including a wall having an outer surface, an inner surface, and a chamber within the inner surface. The wall further includes an internal void, a first port extending fully through the wall and in communication with the void, a second port extending from the outer surface partially through the wall and in communication with the void, and a plurality of channels, each extending from the void to the inner surface. A central axis of each channel forms an acute angle at the inner surface.

Vacuum assisted irrigation pump

Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of pressurized fluid delivery devices for use in medical procedures. In particular, a fluid delivery pump comprises at least one compressive member configured to apply a force to a fluid reservoir. The at least one compressive member is associated with a flexible envelope, such that the flexible envelope may move the compressive member. The flexible envelope may be substantially air-tight so that it may be pressurized. When a negative pressure is created inside the flexible envelope, the flexible envelope may change volume, applying a force to the at least one compressive member. The at least one compressive member may then apply a force to the fluid reservoir and the fluid is forced out of the reservoir.

Irrigation assembly

An assembly structured for concurrent irrigation and aspiration of a nasal cavity including a housing having a supply container disposed therein for the removable retention of irrigating fluid. A nasal applicator comprises first and second passages respectfully structured to deliver irrigating fluid to the nasal cavity and concurrently remove waste fluid therefrom. An activating assembly includes a plunger biased into a continuous pressure applying, dispensing relation to the irrigating fluid and a valve assembly is selectively disposable into an open position facilitating fluid communication between the supply container and the applicator for the delivery of the irrigating fluid therethrough into the nasal cavity. The activating assembly is further structured to create a negative pressure within the chamber which communicates with the second passage of the applicator to facilitate delivery of the waste fluid therefrom along a path of travel to an interior of the chamber.

Medical irrigation system

Medical wound irrigation systems are described that may be used in environments such as hospitals and first aid stations, and for military applications, e.g., for medics and along transport routes for the wounded. The irrigation systems can provide continuous variable pressure for irrigating a wound. For example, in some embodiments, a medical irrigation system can be used to provide a steady pressure level while irrigating about one liter of solution in less than about one minute, e.g., to assist during wound irrigation and debridement. The medical irrigation system may include an air-powered irrigation device, which pressurizes an irrigation solution, such as a cleansing fluid, to create an ejection force. In some embodiments, the medical irrigation system can include a replaceable bottle cap with an inlet for connecting to a source of pressurized fluid (e.g., pressurized gas, such as pressurized air) and an outlet for the irrigation solution/cleansing fluid.

System and method for patient skin treatment and irrigation

A system for irrigating a patient's skin. The system includes a fluid container that includes a first compartment and a second compartment, the first compartment being adapted to retain a first fluid on a first side of a divider and the second compartment being adapted to retain a second fluid on a second side of the divider. The system also includes an irrigation sleeve adapted cover a portion of the patient's skin. The system also includes a fluid charging portion adapted to receive a portion of the first fluid and a portion of the second fluid, wherein the portion of the first fluid reacts with the portion of the second fluid to form a charged compound in the fluid charging portion. The system also includes a compound delivery portion that extends at a first end of the compound delivery portion from the fluid charging portion, the compound delivery portion being adapted to deliver the charged compound from the fluid charging portion to the irrigation sleeve.

Nasal irrigation diagnostic assembly

A nasal irrigation diagnostic assembly comprising an irrigation device including a fluid collection portion structured to retain a biological sample, in the form of waste solution from the nasal cavity resulting from irrigation. A detection member disposed on said irrigation device is exposed to the biological sample and is structured to determine the existence of at least one analyte within the biological sample of the waste solution. The detection member comprises a plurality of detection zones individually structured to analyze the biological sample upon engagement therewith, wherein said plurality of zones include at least a reaction zone and a detection zone, which respectively include reagents cooperatively and collectively formulated to detect the existence of the at least one analyte within biological sample of the waste solution. A control zone may also be included to indicate the intended operability of at least the detection member.

Percutaneous Joint Lavage Devices and Kits

Percutaneous musculoskeletal lavage devices, and procedures for simultaneous therapeutic and diagnostic purposes, performed with a needle or catheter and various combinations of a syringe, reciprocating syringe, stop-cock, check valves, depth indicator, compressive sleeve or brace, and specialty catheters, provided individually or in a kit. The lavage fluid can be analyzed for factors of medical interest and used to determine personalized treatment, and has intrinsic medical benefit by virtue of clearing the tissues of noxious substances in an enhanced fashion.

PRESSURE REGULATION SYSTEM
