CONTINUOUS AND CONTROLLED IRRIGATION SYSTEM
An irrigation system for providing a continuous and controlled flow of a fluid, wherein said irrigation system may include a reservoir system comprising a plurality of containers of fluid; and a fluid transfer system in fluid connection with said reservoir system, said fluid transfer system comprising at least one fluid transfer head.
SURGICAL FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A surgical fluid management system delivers fluid for distending a uterine cavity to allow cutting and extraction of uterine fibroid tissue, polyps and other abnormal uterine tissue. The system comprises a fluid source, fluid deliver lines, one or more pumps, and a filter for re-circulating the distension fluid between the source and the uterine cavity. A controller can monitor fluid retention by the patient.
PORTABLE SYSTEM FOR HEATING, WASHING AND SUCKING LIQUIDS FOR LAPARASCOPIC AND LAPAROTOMIC SURGERY, GYNECOLOGY AND UROLOGY
A portable system (1) is described, for heating, washing and sucking liquids for laparoscopic and laparotomic surgery, gynecology and urology, comprising: a trolley (3) for supporting and handling; a case (5) placed on the trolley (3) and composed of a first part made as a tank (7) for liquids equipped with an inclined bottom (9) to enable discharging liquids and cleaning the tank (7); and a second part containing at least one peristaltic pump (11) for sending a variable jet of liquid inside abdominal cavities, and at least one valve (13) for sucking liquids to wash the surgery field; a container (15) of liquids placed on the trolley (3) and equipped with a double pump (16) for taking and removing liquids into and from the tank (7); and a device (18) for keeping the temperature of liquids at an established maximum value.
Surgical fluid management system
A fluid management system includes a disposable cassette carrying inflow and outflow tubing sections that are configured for releasably mating with a console including a control unit and a pair of roller pump heads. The console may automatically identify the disposable cassette and weigh the fluid in an inflow source. During operation, the system can monitor pressure in the working space, and provide for inflow and outflow control to maintain any desired operating parameters.

Device for adjusting the irrigation pressure in eye operations
The invention relates to a device (1) for use in eye surgery, comprising a container (9) with fluid (5) which is connected via an irrigation line (12) to a surgical handpiece for delivering the fluid (5) for rinsing an eye (3) on which surgery has been performed, wherein a pillar (8), which in particular is electrically adjustable in its height, is provided for supporting the container (9) and for adjusting the height (H) between the container (9) and the surgical handpiece, and wherein a control for adjusting the height of the pillar (8) is provided in order to deliver the fluid (5) from the surgical handpiece into the eye (3) at an irrigation pressure predetermined by the surgeon, wherein pressurizing means (10) are provided which are designed for charging the fluid (5) to be delivered from the container (9) to the irrigation line (12) with an atmospheric overpressure (P.sub.AT) and wherein the control for adjusting the desired irrigation pressure is designed both for adjusting the height (H) of the pillar (8) and for adjusting the atmospheric overpressure (P.sub.AT) to be charged.
MULTI-UTILITY SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A multi-utility surgical instrument may include a nosecone, a handle, a housing sleeve, an actuation facilitating sleeve, a piston tube, a hypodermic tube, and an end plug. The hypodermic tube may be disposed within the piston tube; the piston tube may be disposed within the actuation facilitating sleeve; the actuation facilitating sleeve may be disposed within the housing sleeve; the end plug may be disposed within a portion of the housing sleeve; the housing sleeve and the end plug may be disposed within the handle; the nose cone may be fixed to a distal end of the handle; and the hypodermic tube may be fixed to the nosecone.
MEDICAL WEIGHING SYSTEMS
A weighing system for medical applications may include a basin that has a base and a sloped sidewall that collectively form a bounded cavity with open top surface that receives and holds the material to be weighed. The basin may be free floating above the weighing device within a restricted range of travel. In some examples, the weighing system includes a thermal treatment device to adjust the temperature of the material in the basin. The rate at which heat is delivered to the basin may vary depending on the weight of the contents in the basin.
