Building Block Made of a Polymer-Based Material and a Set of Modular Building Elements Comprising This Building Block
A building block and a set of modular building elements is intended for construction of foundational and wall structures. The building block comprises a plurality of outer walls, a cavity, at least one inner wall, and at least two connecting elements. The outer walls are arranged in an n-gon shape surrounding the cavity and the cavity is open on both lower and upper sides. The cavity is divided by the inner wall into at least two parts. At least one part is adapted for the insertion of an insulating insert. Each connecting element is adapted for insertion into the cavity. The first connecting element is intended for insertion into the cavity of a different one of two neighbouring building blocks of a different row than the second connecting element. Each connecting element is attached to a wall of the building block and offset from that wall in a direction towards the inside of the cavity. Each connecting element comprises a wall of the connecting element protruding from a respective wall of the building block. The wall of the connecting element comprises a free end and side edges. The side edges approach each other from a place of attachment to the wall towards the free end. An insulating layer at least partially surrounds a part of the cavity adapted for the insertion of the insulating insert. The set of modular building elements comprises foundation building blocks comprising the cavity enclosed by the solid bottom and hollow building blocks.
Wall with pre-bent tubing
A thermal wall system may include a plurality of blocks configured to interconnect with each other forming a monolithic wall. The plurality of blocks form a series of vertical interior cavities that each extend from a top of the plurality of blocks to a bottom of the plurality of blocks, and tubing vertically extends through the series of vertical interior cavities.
Concrete block insulation
An insulation system for a concrete block having an open end and a closed end, the insulation system including a single sheet of a foam material configured to have opposite end portions with a middle portion intermediate the end portions and a hinge defined between each of the end portions and the middle portion to enable the sheet to be folded so that the middle portion is disposed perpendicular to the end portions to render the sheet in a u-shaped orientation so as to be insertable into the open end of the concrete block; and a panel of foam material configured as a rectangle to conform to the closed end of the concrete block. The sheet of foam material is sized to provide a snug interference fit with the open end of the concrete block when folded into the u-shaped orientation and the panel is sized to provide a snug interference fit with the closed end of the concrete block. The sheet of foam material and the panel of foam material are each made of a closed cell flexible foam.
Masonry block system
A masonry block having chambers and cavities that form recesses in the block such that, when the blocks are laid on bond, re-bar may be inserted in horizontal and vertical directions for rectangular grid reinforcement, and the wall may be constructed without the use of mortar. The masonry block includes a stretcher block, end block, and a half-block and each block block has recesses for receiving insulation, re-bar, and/or a line pin.
LOAD-BEARING WALL WITH HEADER HAVING A WEB FRAME
A load-bearing wall can be provided with a header comprising engineered wood web manufactured truss can be provided over the opening of the load-bearing wall. Insulation can be applied to the open areas of the truss to increase the thermal resistance of the header. The portion of the load-bearing wall can be constructed as a manufactured wall panel and incorporated with traditional stick framing. The manufactured wall panel can include straps to facilitate lifting, transporting and installation of the panels.
Insulated dry-stacked block wall system
An insulated dry-stacked block wall system includes an exterior structure coat, an interior structure coat, insulation inserts, and blocks, the insulation inserts and blocks being interposed between the exterior structure coat and the interior structure coat. The blocks may mate with the insulation inserts. The blocks may include a right-corner block, a left-corner block, a stretcher block, and a half-stretcher block. The blocks may include notches that are configured to interact with the insulation inserts and increase the strength of the system. The blocks may further include apertures that are fully surrounded by side walls in some embodiments.
