Device for splicing reinforcement cages
A device (150) for splicing together a first reinforcement cage (10) and a second reinforcement cage (20), the first reinforcement cage (10) comprising a suspension band (18) adjacent one of its ends and the second reinforcement cage (20) carrying the said device (150) adjacent one of its ends, wherein the device (150) comprises: an anchoring portion (160) carried on a portion of the second reinforcement cage (20) adjacent its one end, e.g. via a bridging portion (170), and configured or configurable such that at least a portion thereof is radially spaced from the second reinforcement cage (20) so as to define a radial suspension gap (G) between the said portion and the second reinforcement cage (20), the suspension gap (G) being configured for receiving therein the suspension band (18) on the first reinforcement cage (10) as the first and second reinforcement cages (10, 20) are spliced together; and gate means (180) constructed and arranged so as to be selectively configurable in either an open configuration, in which the suspension band (18) on the first reinforcement cage (10) can be inserted into or received in the suspension gap (G) via the gate means (180), or a closed configuration in which the suspension band (18) on the first reinforcement cage (10), once located in the suspension gap (G), is prevented from being removed therefrom via the gate means (180), wherein the gate means (180) is moveable between its open and closed configurations by virtue of at least a portion thereof being moveable by pivoting.
Adjustable rebar positioning device
A rebar positioning device with opposite ends for positioning adjacent to a form face of at least one form panel may include a support rod having opposite ends and an outer surface, with at least a portion of the outer surface being threaded. At least one bar clip may be movably mounted on the support rod. An orientation of the at least one bar clip on the support rod is adjustable, and a position of the at least one bar clip on the support rod is adjustable.
Structural support system for rockwork with mechanical fastening of adjacent chip assemblies
Rebar-based support assemblies that can be fabricated without the need for on-site welding. The assemblies include a number of differing sized and shaped crimps used in place of welds to provide rebar assembly-to-rebar assembly connections. Each crimp mechanically couples two or three pieces of rebar together, such as a border bar of one rebar assembly to a border bar of an adjacent rebar assembly. Each crimp includes a body with two or more arcuate recessed surfaces each for receiving a piece of rebar. In a first configuration of the crimp, a pair of spaced-apart arms (or extending members) extend from the body and define an opening through which the rebar is passed and set into the recessed surfaces. A deformation force is applied upon the two arms to deform the body into a second configuration with the arms in abutting contact or nearly so at an outer tip or end.
Apparatus to install vertical rebar in footings
An apparatus or assembly for use in a construction environment comprises an angled stabilization bracket and at least one clip removably mounted to the stabilization bracket. The angled stabilization bracket comprises a top portion having a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge opposing the first longitudinal edge, and a first side portion angularly extending from the first longitudinal edge; and a clip-receiving slot defined in the first side portion of the angled stabilization bracket. The at least one clip is slidably and removably disposed in the clip-receiving slot. The at least one clip further comprising at least one rebar-receivable and rebar-guiding passageway. The at least one clip is configured to receive and retain at least one rebar. The angled stabilization bracket is configured for attachment to a structure. The assembly is configured for use to ensure accurate placement or registration of vertical rebar in a construction environment.
Rebar biter
A device may include an anchor point operationally connected to a rebar, an E-clamp coupled to the anchor point, and a forcing handle configured to tighten the E-clamp to the rebar.
Spacer for a reinforcement layer, reinforcement system for a concrete component, and method for the production of a reinforcement system
The invention relates to a spacer (1) for a reinforcement layer (16), a reinforcement system (29) for a concrete component (21), and a method for the production of a reinforcement system (29). The spacers (1) described allow especially mesh-type reinforcement layers (16) to be kept at a distance from other bodies (24, 28) in a particularly simple manner. The spacers (1) are fitted by inserting them into a mesh (8) of the reinforcement layer (16) and connecting them thereto by twisting.
Adjustable concrete form brace and reinforcement bar hanger
An adjustable concrete form brace includes a horizontal adaptable extension member. A first lower brace element and a second lower brace element opposing the first lower brace element each have a horizontal insertion channel adapted to receive the horizontal extension member. A first upper brace element and second upper brace element are attached to the first lower brace element and the second lower brace element respectively. Each of the lower brace members include a saddle, and each saddle is adapted to retain one or more reinforcement bars. The first upper brace element and second upper brace element each include a form retaining element.
Wall Structure
The present invention relates to a wall structure and, more specifically, to a wall structure for forming a wall support, wherein a plurality of steel wires are formed to extend vertically and horizontally to form a lattice-shaped steel wire mesh part, identical steel wire mesh parts are formed at corresponding locations to make truss-type steel wire trusses be positioned perpendicularly to each other, which are assembled by fixing wires without a bonding means to form the wall structure, and a steel wire mesh part connection pin is used to couple a wall structure to additional wall structure located at a lateral side or upper side thereof.
Multi-axial rebar connector for foldable FRP reinforcement system
Connector for connecting rebar intersections of a foldable FRP rebar cage includes two channels for receiving the intersecting FRP rebar. One channel has a spherical member and the other has arms shaped to hold the spherical member, to allow the connected rebar to rotate in the X, Y and Z axes.
