ASYMMETRICAL VACUUM-INSULATED GLAZING UNIT
A vacuum insulating glazing unit includes a first infrared reflecting coating and a second infrared reflecting coating. A first glass pane has a thickness, Z1, and an energetical absorptance EA1, and bears the first infrared reflecting coating on its outer pane face. A second glass pane has a thickness, Z2, and an energetical absorptance, EA2. A set of discrete spacers is positioned between the glass panes and forms an array having a pitch, λ. An internal volume, V, is defined by the first and second glass panes and the set of discrete spacers, and has a vacuum of absolute pressure of less than 0.1 mbar. The second infrared reflecting coating is borne on a glass pane face that faces the internal volume, V. The first glass pane is thicker than the second glass pane (Z1>Z2), and in that ΔEA≤0.0029 ΔZ.sup.2/mm.sup.2−0.041 ΔZ/mm+0.6375.
FIRE PROTECTION GLAZING INCLUDING A SECONDARY SEAL HAVING COOLING FIRE PROTECTION PROPERTY
Fire protection glazing made of two or more glass panes spaced apart from each other by a spacer. A fire protection material and the spacer are arranged in an intermediate space between the two glass panes. A secondary seal encloses the fire protection material and the spacer in the intermediate space. The secondary seal has a cooling fire protection property and is free of any intumescent fire protection property. Exclusively the fire protection material, the spacer, optionally having an optional spacer attachment for attaching the spacer to the glass pane, and the secondary seal can be arranged in the intermediate space between the two glass panes.
ENCAPSULATED OVEN WINDOW PACK
The present disclosure provides a glass assembly having a plastic frame and two glass panes in spaced parallel arrangement, wherein at least one of the glass panes is encapsulated within the plastic frame. The glass assembly is part of a door that is connected to an oven to allow selective access to the interior oven cavity. The encapsulated glass pane can face the interior oven cavity, or face away from the interior oven cavity, toward the environment outside the oven. Each glass pane can also be encapsulated within a frame half, and the two frame halves can be connected to one another. The disclosure also provides a method of making the glass assembly.
Efficient assembly of triple pane windows
This invention describes an apparatus for assembling triple pane insulating glass units from a plurality of insulating spacer frames having sealant or adhesive applied to opposite sides of said spacer frames.
TRANSPARENT DOOR
A door assembly including a first glass pane, a second glass pane, and a spacer positioned between the first glass pane and the second glass pane such that the first pane and the second pane are separated by the spacer. The door assembly also includes an element that is coupled to the first glass pane and the second glass pane and positioned exterior of the spacer. The spacer and the element cooperate to at least partially define a seal passage, and a clear material is disposed in the seal passage to seal the space, the clear material configured to provide structural support to the assembly.
Glass panel unit assembly, method for manufacturing glass panel unit, and method for manufacturing glass panel unit assembly
An assembly includes: a pair of glass substrates; a peripheral wall disposed between the glass substrates; partitions; an evacuation port; and air passages. The partitions are provided to partition an internal space, surrounded with the glass substrates and the peripheral wall, into an evacuation space and a ventilation space. The evacuation port connects the ventilation space to an external environment. The air passages are used to evacuate the evacuation space through the evacuation port. The air passages include particular air passages arranged in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction, in which the glass substrates face each other, to constitute a ventilation path running through the internal space in the second direction.
Apparatus for application of foam spacer
A foam spacer applicator may include: a conveyer unit configured to automatically transfer a glass panel; a foam head unit disposed at a predetermined distance from the front side of the conveyer unit, and configured to automatically supply and bond a spacer to the glass panel transferred from the conveyer unit through a combination of an X-axis horizontal operation and a Y-axis elevation operation through an elevation guide plate disposed with a vertical structure; and a magazine unit disposed at a predetermined distance from the rear side of the foam head unit, and configured to inject and apply a sealant to both surfaces of the spacer while adjusting tension of the spacer, and automatically supply the spacer to the foam head unit.
DOOR FOR A FREEZER OR REFRIGERATOR CABINET
The disclosure relates to a door for a freezer or refrigerator cabinet, including an insulating glass unit with at least two panes, which are joined by means of spacers for the creation of a gas-filled intervening space. The panes each have a transparent region and all spacers are designed to be free of desiccant, and a desiccant reservoir, which is in fluidic connection with the intervening space between the at least two panes.
Connectors for smart windows
This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity. Pre-wired spacers improve fabrication efficiency and seal integrity of insulated glass units. Electrical connection systems include those embedded in the secondary seal of the insulated glass unit.
FIRE PROTECTION GLAZING INCLUDING A SECONDARY SEAL HAVING INTUMESCENT AND COOLING FIRE PROTECTION PROPERTY
Fire protection glazing made of two or more glass panes spaced apart from each other by a spacer. A fire protection material and the spacer are arranged in an intermediate space between the two glass panes. A secondary seal encloses the fire protection material and the spacer in the intermediate space. The secondary seal thereby has an intumescent and a cooling fire protection property. Exclusively the fire protection material, the spacer, optionally having an optional spacer attachment for attaching the spacer to the glass pane, and the secondary seal can be arranged in the intermediate space between the two glass panes.
