Telemetrically Operable Packers
A down-hole packer is provided for positioning in a wellbore to establish a seal with a surrounding surface. The packer includes a sealing element that is responsive to compression by a setting piston to radially expand into the wellbore. An actuator is provided to longitudinally move the setting piston in response to a telemetry signal received by the down-hole packer. The actuator can include a hydraulic pump, an electromechanical motor or valves operable to control hydraulic energy to apply a down-hole force to the setting piston.

VALVE INCLUDING AN EXPANDABLE METAL SEAL
The present disclosure, in at least one aspect, provides a valve, a method for sealing, and a related well system. The valve, in one aspect, includes a housing, and a sliding sleeve disposed in the housing and defining an annular flow path between the sliding sleeve and the housing, the sliding sleeve configured to move from a closed positioned closing the annular flow path to an open position opening the flow path. The valve, in at least one other aspect, further includes a plug member positioned within the annular flow path, the plug member comprising a metal configured to expand in response to hydrolysis to seal the annular flow path.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN EXPANDABLE PACKER
The present disclosure relates to a system that includes a downhole packer assembly that includes an outer skin having a first axial length and an inner packer having a second axial length greater than the first axial length. The inner packer is disposed within the outer skin such that inflation of the inner packer causes the outer skin to expand.
Annular barrier and annular barrier system
An annular barrier system for expanding an annular barrier in an annulus between a well tubular structure and an inside wall of a borehole downhole includes an annular barrier having a tubular part for mounting as part of the well tubular structure, the annular barrier further comprising an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular part, at least one end of the expandable sleeve being fastened in a fastener of a connection part in the tubular part. The annular barrier system also comprises a tool for expanding the expandable sleeve by letting a pressurized fluid through a passage in the tubular part into a space between the expandable sleeve and the tubular part.
Fracturing device for extraction of coalbed methane in low permeability reservoir
Disclosed is a fracturing device for extraction of coalbed methane in low permeability reservoir. In the disclosure, by controlling the fracturing of fracturing pipes and the sealing of a segmented sealing mechanism for fracturing using a fracturing controller, the fracturing in fracturing holes can be effectively controlled. The segmented sealing mechanism for fracturing in the disclosure can separate each of the fracturing pipes in the fracturing holes separately in a sealed manner respectively, and perform segmented fracturing operations using each of the fracturing pipes, so as to effectively improve the uniformity and thoroughness of fracturing and ensure fracturing ability. In the disclosure, when the sealing operations are performed in each segment, the sealing effect of each segment can be ensured, and the sealing efficiency can be ensured, so that the fracturing ability of each segment of fracturing is improved to ensure the fracturing effect.
Completion systems with flow restrictors
A method of completing a wellbore is disclosed that in one non-limiting embodiment includes: placing a lower completion assembly that includes a flow device to provide fluid communication between the lower completion assembly and a production zone associated with the lower completion assembly; placing an isolation assembly with a packer above the lower completion assembly for isolating an annulus between the lower completion assembly and the wellbore; placing a flow restriction device above the packer; setting the flow restriction device in the annulus to restrict flow of fluid through the annulus; and setting the packer after setting the flow restriction device.
METHODS FOR DEPLOYMENT OF EXPANDABLE PACKERS THROUGH SLIM PRODUCTION TUBING
A method includes wrapping a packer bag around a deployment tool, providing at least one canister in fluid communication with the packer bag, sending the packer bag around the downhole tool to a downhole location in a well, and injecting a polymer filler material from the at least one canister into the packer bag until the packer bag expands to seal the downhole location.
Removable oil well seal
A method of sealing a well having a casing wall comprises transporting a camera into the casing wall making a visual recording by visually recording perforations, microfractures or other breach type damages of the wall and vertical location thereof on the wall. Selecting a vertical location for sealing the well, the vertical location being determined from the visual recording. Transporting an expandable sealing device being made of an expandable metal and a hydraulic cylinder attached to the sealing device by a shear pin into the well. Expanding the sealing device to engage the casing wall such that a gas seal is made between the sealing device and the casing wall, the sealing device being expanded through engagement by the hydraulic cylinder.
COMBINATION DOWNHOLE ASSEMBLY
A combination downhole assembly having a setting tool assembly coupled with a downhole tool. The setting tool assembly has an adapter housing configured to couple with a part of a workstring, and a power charge mandrel coupled with the adapter housing. There is a barrel piston releasably coupled with the power charge mandrel. During run-in, the barrel piston is in a first position. Upon activation of a setting sequence, the barrel piston moves to a second position. The setting sequence results in the barrel piston engaging a tension mandrel configured with a deceleration feature.
