Ventilator and process for the automated ventilation of a patient
A ventilator, for the automated ventilation of a patient, includes a breathing gas delivery unit, at least one volume flow sensor for detecting a volume flow of the breathing gas, at least one breathing gas sensor for detecting a carbon dioxide concentration in the breathing gas, at least one pressure sensor for detecting a pressure of the breathing gas, as well as at least one computer. The computer is configured to actuate the breathing gas delivery unit as a function of the detected pressure and of a preset desired pressure value. The computer is further configured to perform an adaptation of the desired pressure value and an adaptation of a ventilation rate as a function of the detected volume flow and as a function of the detected carbon dioxide concentration.
Medical device data integration apparatus and methods
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for integrating medical device data are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a processor receives infusion therapy progress data, receives renal failure therapy progress data, and displays derivative data types. Each of the derivative data types includes at least one infusion parameter, at least renal failure therapy parameter, and at least one of the mathematical operation. The example data processor receives a selection of one of the derivative data types, and calculates derivative data by applying the at least one mathematical operation, as specified by the derivative data type, to infusion therapy progress data that relates to the at least one infusion parameter, as specified by the derivative data type, and renal failure therapy progress data that relates to the at least one renal failure therapy parameter, as specified by the derivative data type. The processor also displays the derivative data.
Colon evacuation without collapse
Methods of colon cleansing and/or inspection are described which safely maintain a colon in an uncollapsed state. Balanced replacement of a volume of fluid, gas and/or solids evacuated during cleansing of the colon is described. Replacement volume comprises, for example, cleansing fluid, jetting gas, and/or inflation gas. In some embodiments, balancing of evacuated and replacement volume is achieved under automatic control, based on monitored volume of material exchange, and/or measurement of resulting pressures.
Waterproof device with air cell power source
Provided is a waterproof device that is impervious to water and can also use an air cell as a power source. The waterproof device of the present disclosure is worn on the body and includes a circuit unit, a power source, and an exterior package that protects the circuit unit and the power source. At least a part of the exterior package is composed of a water-repellent air-permeable sheet. The water-repellent air-permeable sheet has a water pressure resistance of 12 kPa or more.
Electronic device for providing meditation contents and operating method thereof
An electronic device for providing meditation content corresponding to a stress level of a user, and an operating method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a communication interface comprising communication circuitry, a memory, and at least one processor operatively coupled to the communication interface and the memory. The memory is configured to store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to: receive stress information from at least one collecting device using the communication interface, confirm meditation content corresponding to a stress level based on at least part of the received stress information, confirm at least one executing device related to the confirmed meditation content, and control the execution of the confirmed meditation content and the confirmed at least one executing device using the communication interface.
VIDEO CONFERENCING METHOD
One variation of a method for video conferencing includes, during a setup period: accessing a test video feed; and generating a face model, representing facial characteristics of a first user depicted in the test video feed, based on features detected in the test video feed. The method also includes, during an operating period: accessing a video feed; representing constellations of facial landmarks, detected in frames in the video feed, in a feed of facial landmark containers; representing sets of facial muscle actions, detected in frames in the video feed, in a feed of facial expression containers; and transforming the feed of facial landmark containers, the feed of facial expression containers, and the face model into a feed of synthetic face images according to the synthetic face generator.
STIMULATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Described herein are noninvasive electrical stimulation devices, systems and methods for stimulation of the Vagus nerve through its auricular branch to provide beneficial physiological responses in subjects, including alleviation, mitigation or elimination of symptoms of various disorders, including metabolic and inflammatory disorders.
FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TREATMENT
The disclosed systems and methods are configurable central nervous system (CNS) delivery solutions for therapeutics, such as genetic medicines. The systems and methods first infuse a therapeutic bolus within intrathecal space and subsequently infuse a flush fluid to move the therapeutic bolus rostrally toward a target area and achieve a desired spread in the spine and/or brain. The second location can be at a location caudal to the delivery location of the therapeutic bolus.
BED DEVICE SYSTEM AND METHODS
Introduced are a bed device system and methods for: gathering human biological signals, such as heart rate, breathing rate, or temperature; analyzing the gathered human biological signals; and controlling the bed device system, e.g., a temperature of the bed device, based on the analysis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING A KINETOSIS EFFECT IN AT LEAST ONE PASSENGER OF AN VEHICLE
A system for reducing a kinetosis effect in at least one passenger of a vehicle comprises at least one set of headphones having two loudspeakers and at least one first ear bud, wherein the at least one set of headphones is designed, at least by means of a sensor device integrated in the first ear bud, to detect the kinetosis effect in the auditory canal of the respective passenger via measurement of the body temperature and to provide acoustic signals by means of the two loudspeakers in order to reduce the kinetosis effect of the passenger depending on the kinetosis effect detected. Forces acting on the passenger and their countenance can also be measured.
