Co-axial dual fluids metering system and methods
A metering system for a fuel atomizer includes a housing having a fuel inlet and an oxidizer inlet arranged coaxially, and an oxidizer metering device having a plurality of oxidizer channels, an oxidizer flow controller, and a fuel metering device. The oxidizer channels are spaced apart circumferentially in the housing and are arranged angled in at least one of a radially inward direction and a tangential direction to create a swirl of oxidizer flow in a mixing chamber of the fuel atomizer. The oxidizer flow controller is configured to control flow of oxidizer from the oxidizer inlet to the plurality of oxidizer channels. The fuel metering device is configured to control fuel flow from the fuel inlet to the mixing chamber.
FUEL INJECTOR
An injector comprises a tubular nozzle body having a nozzle side, receiving a needle valve member, and an actuator side, receiving a tubular magnetic armature and receiving an armature side of a tubular pole piece above the magnetic armature, wherein the nozzle body and the pole piece are welded together through a seam weld line between an inner tubular surface of the actuator side of the tubular nozzle body and an outer tubular surface of the armature side of the pole piece. The actuator side of the tubular nozzle body comprises a constricted area while the outer surface of the armature side of the pole piece comprises a recessed area, the constricted area and the recessed area contacting each other at a level of the seam weld line and providing a friction area transmitting hydraulic load away from the seam weld line.
INJECTOR CUP FOR ENGINES APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
An improved injector cup may be used in diesel engines that fits more securely into the engine's cylinder heads to better prevent engine coolant from leaking into the fuel and/or fuel leaking into the coolant. An improved injector cup may be designed to accommodate specific engine types and sizes in order to prevent engine coolant from leaking into the fuel and/or fuel leaking into the coolant.
COMPONENT FOR AN INJECTION SYSTEM, IN PARTICULAR FUEL DISTRIBUTOR RAIL, INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A COMPONENT
A component for an injection system, in particular a fuel injection rail for a fuel injection system. The component includes a main body that is processed by a single-stage or multi-stage forging, at least one fastening element being provided on the main body. The fastening element is formed at least partly by a residual flash. An injection system having such a component, and a method for producing such a component, are also described.
Fuel injection valve and method for assembling same
Provided is a fuel injection valve capable of stroking a valve body in two stages of large and small strokes and improving responsiveness of a valve opening operation. Therefore, a first mover 201 is attracted to a magnetic core 107. A second mover 202 is formed separately from the first mover 201, and is attracted to the magnetic core 107 on an inner diameter side of the first mover 201. A valve body 101 has a flange portion 101a on an upstream side of the second mover 202. A spacer 213 forms a gap (void g1) in an axial direction between the flange portion 101a and the second mover 202 in a valve closed state.
Fuel injector
A configuration is provided for a fuel injector for a common rail fuel system. In one example, the fuel injector may include a housing, an inner chamber enclosed by the housing, and a flow limiting valve. The flow limiting valve may be arranged at a downstream end of the inner chamber and also enclosed by the housing. This configuration may allow the fuel injector housing to have sufficient wall strength to withstand high pressure fuel injection and may allow effective fuel supply cut off when fuel cut off is demanded.
Component for fuel injector and method for coating the same
Disclosed are a component for a fuel injector and a method for coating the same. The component for the fuel injector may include a base material, a bonding layer laminated on the base material, a support layer laminated on the outer surface of the bonding layer, and an NbSiCN functional layer including an NbCN layer and an SiCN layer and alternately laminated on the outer surface of the support layer, thereby reducing friction, high hardness, shock resistance, heat resistance, and durability of the component for the fuel injector.
Fuel injector having a self-contained replaceable pilot valve assembly
A fuel injector device for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is provided. Included in the fuel injector is a body having a chamber and a pilot valve assembly including a seat retainer configured to be detachably insertable into the chamber of the body. A pilot valve seat is disposed in the seat retainer and substantially enclosed by the seat retainer. A stator assembly is disposed in the seat retainer and at least partially enclosed by the seat retainer. The pilot valve seat and the stator assembly in the pilot valve assembly are replaceable as a single unit of the pilot valve assembly for the fuel injector.
Fuel injector with duct assembly
Methods and systems are provided for a fuel injector of an internal combustion engine. In one example, a fuel injector includes a body having a flange shaped to seat within a shoulder of a passage of a cylinder head. The shoulder is positioned at an inner side of the cylinder head such that the fuel injector is coupled to the cylinder head at the inner side by the flange.
MATERIAL DEPOSITION FOR FLUID INJECTORS
A method of making a fluid injector for a gas turbine engine includes depositing material onto a piece of tube stock. The method includes machining the deposited material into a fluid injector component. Depositing can include laser cladding the material onto the piece of tube stock. The method can include placing or flowing braze into a braze joint location between the deposited material and another fluid injector component and forming the braze into a braze joint in the braze joint location.
