Rotary piston pump having converging inlet and outlet openings for conveying a fluid medium containing solids
Embodiments provide a rotary lobe pump for conveying a fluid medium containing solids. Two rotary lobes have rotational axes that are spaced apart from each other a minimum length distance. A housing enclosing the two rotary lobes has an inlet opening and an outlet opening, each with a continuously decreasing convergence and defined lengths.
Gear Pump with Dual Pressure Relief
An internal gear pump (100) comprises: a rotor/torque ring comprising an internally lobed (140) rotor (130) and a torque ring (120) extending beyond at least a first end (134) of the rotor; an externally lobed (160) idler (150) encircled by the rotor; a hollow shaft (190) supporting the idler; a pressure relief element (200) positioned to shift between a first condition and a second condition; and a spring (210) biasing the pressure relief element toward the first condition from the second condition. The torque ring has at least one pressure relief port (240A, 240B) positioned so that: in the first condition, the pressure relief element blocks a path from an interior volume (235) of the pump to the pressure relief port; and in the second condition, relative to the first condition the pressure relief element does not block the path.

A rotary oscillating sub-assembly for positive displacement pumping of a fluid, said sub-assembly comprising: a hollow body defining a cavity having a wall with two ducts passing therethrough; a piston co-operating with said cavity to define a working chamber and including a channel that opens out longitudinally into said working chamber, said piston being movable angularly so as to put said working chamber into fluid-flow communication with one, then none, then the other of said ducts, and being movable in longitudinal translation to reciprocate so as to cause the volume of said working chamber to vary and successively suck in and then discharge said fluid, said piston carrying a sealing gasket that is formed of at least a sealing ring, a sealing half-ring, and at least one sealing strip that longitudinally connects said sealing ring to said sealing half-ring.

Lubricant vane pump
A lubricant vane pump for providing a pressurized lubricant for an internal combustion engine includes a pump housing, a pump chamber, a shiftable control ring comprising a pressure-relief-valve, a pump rotor, a pretensioning element which pushes the control ring into a high pumping volume position, a control chamber, and a pump outlet cavity fluidically connected to the control chamber. The pump chamber comprises pump compartments which rotate from a charge to discharge zone. The control ring envelops the pump chamber. The pump rotor comprises radially slidable vanes which rotate in the control ring to provide the pump chamber with the pump compartments. A high lubricant pressure in the control chamber moves the control ring into a low pumping volume direction against the pretensioning element. The pressure-relief-valve of the control ring connects or disconnects the control chamber with one of the pump compartments between the charge zone and the discharge zone.
Adaptive self-sealing microfluidic gear pump
A microfluidic pumping system configured to prevent backflow from an outlet of the system toward an inlet of the system. The microfluidic pumping system comprising a gear housing that has an inlet and an outlet and that houses a drive gear, an idler gear and a drive shaft. The system further includes a front end plate that is coupled to a first surface of the gear housing and a rear end plate that is coupled to a second, different surface of the gear housing. Also coupled to the gear housing is a first and second Halbach magnet arrays that is disposed between the front end plate and the rear end plate. The first and second Halbach magnet arrays include one or more solenoids and the first Halbach magnet array is disposed proximate to the drive gear and the second Halbach magnet array is disposed proximate to the idler gear.

A pump particularly for pumping abrasive and/or chemically aggressive liquids includes at least one rotating pumping member having a respective shaft, the at least one rotating pumping member being at least partially housed inside a pump body. The shaft is rotatably supported by at least one support associated with the pump body.
The shaft and the at least one support are both at least partially made of a material having a hardness greater than or equal to 5 Mohs, where the material having a hardness greater than or equal to 5 Mohs is located at least in the areas of the shaft and of the support in mutual contact.

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a pump technology that provides for more effective and efficient transfer of liquids, such as petroleum products and components, to and through pipelines. Such a technology can comprise a type of external gear pump that creates higher flow, resulting in higher pressures in the pipeline, to move the liquids, while providing for longer pump life, simpler and less maintenance, and fewer undesired conditions, with a smaller footprint, in a cost-effective system.
