Fastener system with fastener extension and driving tool
A fastener includes a shank having a first attachment device for attachment to a first workpiece and a head having a second attachment device for attachment to a second workpiece. The fastener can be a screw and the first attachment device includes a thread formation on the shank. The head includes a drive formation at a central portion thereof, in the form of a Phillips head screwdriver recess. The second attachment device in the head includes attachment members integrally formed in the head, being three prongs which extend in a generally opposite direction to the shank.
INDICATORS AND ASSEMBLIES THEREOF
An indicator and a fastener and indicator assembly have an inwardly extending engagement portion on the indicator for engaging a complementary portion on the fastener. The fastener may include an annular groove and the indicator may include a complementary annular rim for extending into the annular groove of the fastener. A portion or all of the indicator may be resiliently flexible, and configured so that part or all of the indicator is stretched when in place on the fastener. Examples of fasteners may include nuts and/or bolts.
ADJUSTABLE HYDRANT STRAP
A monitoring device for a pipe system includes a housing, a housing fastener, and a strap assembly. The housing is configured to mount on an exterior surface of a pipe element of the pipe system. The strap assembly is coupled to the housing with the housing fastener, and the housing fastener is received within the housing to secure the strap assembly to the housing. The strap assembly includes a first strap and a second strap, each of the first strap and the second strap including a mounting end, an adjusting end, and an intermediate portion. The first strap includes an insert tab proximate to the first adjusting end, and the second strap includes a plurality of adjustment slots sized to lockably receive a portion of the insert tab. The insert tab is lockably coupled to the second strap when the monitoring device is tightened.
Novel fastening
A fastening assembly having torquing members that engage notches on a conical securing member. The torquing members being operable by a wrench and able to exert torque on the securing member at the notches to tighten or loosen the securing member.
Anti-Theft Lug Nut Assembly
The present application is directed to an anti-theft lug nut assembly and/or system for vehicular wheel use. A lug nut assembly of this application may be used in connection with each wheel of a particular vehicle. In another instance, multiple lug nut assemblies may be used in connection with a single wheel of a vehicle. In such instances, the lug nut assemblies may incorporate a common key member or distinct key members for use with each distinct lug members. Common wrenches and sockets are unable to engage and turn the lug member of this application as a result of the outer surface configuration of the lug member.
Anti-theft device for bicycle lock
A bicycle lock includes a U-shaped body and a pivotal portion pivotably connected to the first end of the U-shaped body. A head is formed on the second end of the U-shaped body and includes a lock unit received therein. The lock unit includes a nut and a core unit which is co-rotated with the nut. The nut is rotated by using a key. The core unit includes a core and a restriction plate which is co-rotated with the core and includes a notch. A safety unit is received in the lock unit and includes an engaging member and a resilient member which biases the engaging member to be engaged with a notch of the restriction plate to prevent the core unit from being rotated. The engaging member includes a protrusion which contacts the outer periphery of the nut to prevent the nut from being rotated by unauthorized tools.
Adjustable hydrant strap
A monitoring device for a pipe system includes a housing, a housing fastener, and a strap assembly. The housing is configured to mount on an exterior surface of a pipe element of the pipe system. The strap assembly is coupled to the housing with the housing fastener, and the housing fastener is received within the housing to secure the strap assembly to the housing. The strap assembly includes a first strap and a second strap, each of the first strap and the second strap including a mounting end, an adjusting end, and an intermediate portion. The first strap includes an insert tab proximate to the first adjusting end, and the second strap includes a plurality of adjustment slots sized to lockably receive a portion of the insert tab. The insert tab is lockably coupled to the second strap when the monitoring device is tightened.
LOCKING NUT AND BOLT ASSEMBLIES FOR REDUCING WINDAGE IN THE VICINITY OF A HIGH PRESSURE FLOW REGION OF A GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A locking nut and bolt assembly for stacking rotating wheels is disclosed. The assembly may include a tie bolt extending through the stack of rotating wheels. The assembly also may include a locking nut positioned on an end of the tie bolt. The locking nut may include a closed cap.

A battery installation method in a shelter or cabinet includes responsive to placing one or more batteries in the shelter or cabinet, connecting terminals on each of the one or more batteries to associated terminal plates with associated security screws; and connecting a bracket to a housing in the shelter or cabinet with associated security screws, wherein the bracket spans across the one or more batteries and wherein the bracket comprises raised edges which deter cutting.
BLIND BOLT FASTENER WITH EMBOSSMENTS
A fastener including a core bolt and a sleeve adapted to receive the core bolt. The sleeve includes an elongated portion and a head including a first, outer surface and a plurality of embossments located on and extending from the first surface. The plurality of embossments is adapted to mate with and be engaged by corresponding debossments of a fastener installation tool. The embossments react installation torque.
